  1. No, just no. Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Brees, and Luck you may cater to some what. Only Manning has been catered to out of those guys, and that was after it looked like his career was over. You put your players in a position to win, but no, you cater to none of them.
  2. This is why the team needs someone to run the football operations. Emery was hired and ownership told to keep Lovie. Trestman gets hired and gets told who his staff is, and apparently who to play. People aren't trusted to just do the duties job without someone else butting in.
  3. Rivera has been really unimpressive. Shanny has moved on and was rather unimpressive in Washington. Gruden isn't leaving the booth. Singletary should never be more than a LB coach. The only 2 interesting ones listed to me are McDaniels and Harbaugh. I really wouldn't want either. The Nniners have been pretty successful under Harbaugh. The fact that they may not want him anymore is a major red flag. McDaniels is Trestman with QB's, but he's actually done it in the last 10 years. He even had success with Tebow. It'd also mean getting rid of the player bottle necking the team. However, Denver couldn't get rid of him soon enough, so also major red flags with him. Personally, I like the idea of hiring Polian to be the president of the football side of the Bears. Let him hire who he wants as a GM and Coach.
  4. Trestman is like F it. I have never seen a team go for it so much on 4th down when they were up.
  5. I wonder how much he paid his wife and ex girlfriends to fight.
  6. According to the score, Emery hired the staff himself. I completely agree that changes need made from the top down. Fans wont leave enough to hurt their pockets though, it's the NFL and a lot of profit sharing.
  7. Ted Phillips being team president what has caused the Bears two biggest problems. He was responsible for the 2 biggest problems right now. Jerry Angelo's Legacy and Phil Emery. Angelo left the team almost devoid of talent. Emery has: -Hired DeCamilis -Some how thought Tucker could be a good DC -Gambled on Trestman, passed on many others -Blew his first draft outside of Jeffery -Blew his second draft outside of Long -Blew his third draft outside of Fuller -Failed to bring an impact player through free agency -Gave Cutler a ridiculous contract when nothing more than a franchise tag was warranted - I could go on and on for a long time but you get the idea...
  8. He's the one that needed to lose his job, not Tucker...
  9. That's what I have been wondering. Are the offense and defense so bad, that they make each other look good in practice?
  10. They are late for press conferences all the time, but there are rumblings of something may happen.
  11. You don't have to keep Cutler. The team loses nothing by cutting him. I am suggesting cutting him now, he counts a crapload against the cap in dead money, and the owners recover that money in money not spent this year. Then next year, crap loads of space next year. Trestman's money they can't get back. I don't care if they cut him too at this point, but it really doesn't matter who they bring in. They need to look at it like they are an expansion team. They have some over the hill veterans, a lot of young players, and need to build a foundation for the future. A future with a new front office. The owners just need to think, This direction isn't going to work and there is too much to be done and the window is closed for a super bowl. I am going to tank it for a year or 2. I'll bring in the best front office ppl available. I'll bring in better higher draft picks, then I will make my move for a good coach when I get the team ready, ala the Cubs.
  12. Other than Fuller, there is not starting level talent on this team in 5 years. On Offense, you have Jeffery and Long in 5 years starting. Fire Phillips and Emery. Bring in a HUGE NAME for the front office to rebuild this team. A president with a direction and a GM with a history. Trade/Cut Cutler. I know it will be a massive cap hit, but next year will be bad too. You will have a crapload of capspace the year after. Trestman can stay, only because he is already paid and whoever is coaching the next year or two doesn't matter and we are looking for high draft picks for the new GM to develop. It's a total rebuild. Think Cubs, but NFL.
  13. Only the second team to the Rochester Jeffersons to allow 50 points in consecutive games.
  14. There's another guy not quitting. Hate his decisions to run it out early, but atleast he is still trying.
  15. Do those yards and TD count towards the 300 yards 3 tds predicted for Cutler?
  16. Especially against a defense that just isn't good, and when you are getting blown out.
  17. Honestly, this isn't on Trestman and Emery completely. A lot of the Bears problems come from Angelo's lack of ability of drafting other than the year he got lucky with Tillman and Briggs, and Forte later on. I'm not excusing Trestman or Emery, but the Angelo/Smith era left the Bears with Bears with a garbage team and veterans that were hitting past their prime.
  18. my computer likes to double post tonight

I'm not excusing Trestman or Emery, but the Angelo/Smith era left the Bears with very little.
  20. No one with quality will want to if they are saddled with Cutler and this lack of defensive talent.
  21. Then, they have a horrible drive and a blocked punt...
  22. Too bad Mike Brown isn't out there, 2001 Bears coulda done it.
  23. Is it too late to bet the Packers and the over?

    in 29 yrs...

Emery didn't get a linebacker or saftey this year, and resigned Cutler instead of tagging him. It kinda turned out how I expected, even though I wanted to be wrong.
