Mabye they should draft crazy Hairy Rob Lowe in the draft.
-
Not even quarter, how many halves have the Bears not scored in this year?
-
1-8 aint that good. He needed to go, and Angelo left the team with no talent. We'd be in the same situation if he stayed.
-
Agreed, but since Cutler had a part in the selection process of Trestman, I fear he is doomed to failure too.
-
Sucks so much it's funny to me now, cause I know there are years left of it. I guess we won't be seeing that 300 yard 3 TD day.
-
Not to bad of a day for his price, hope your other guys showed up too.
-
Right there is why I hate Cutler. He can't progress. His first guy isn't open and he throws it away. Locks onto one guy and can't find the 2nd WR.
-
I'm not even given advice on this one. I'm in a similar situation on starting Beckham or Martavis Bryant. And I'm also likely to drop McKinnon soon. Sherman scares me a lot more than the limited reps for Bryant and the Jets D, so I'll probably start Bryant.

I stated as much that you weren't comparing Marino and Cutler directly. I did somewhat, to show an example of good vs. bad. On the first part, it may be a fact that the supporting cast wasn't good the first couple years in Chicago. I am saying it is not a fact that the players around him nor coaching are reasons he hasn't put it together. That is opinion and not fact. In my opinion, he hasn't put it together because he is Jay Cutler. It just happens that he had a bad supporting cast. The number of OC's supports the title of the article, Jay Cutler gets coaches fired. Cutler didn't get it, he still hasn't got itin his 9th year. If he did, there wouldn't have been so many OC changes.

Opinions, inherently, can't be proven not true. I'm not saying you lied. I just disagree with the concept of the thoughts. I just think that Cutler is a bad QB. The coaching and players surrounding him may have needed upgraded, but that was not the problem. It's all Cutler, be it mechanics, forcing throws, not progressing from his first read, staring down wr's, and so on and so on. Dan Marino didn't win championships, but he sure competed for them. His teams made the playoffs 10/17 years, his stats are ridiculous, and he made the players around him better. I know you aren't directly comparing Cutler to Marino. I just think it's appropriate to look at Marino, as I explain why I disagree with your opinion. Cutler will have made the playoffs one time in 9 years. He doesn't really even compete for the playoffs, yet alone championships, he doesn't elevate the players around him, and I just think he isn't good. I think it's simply too late to expect him to "get it".

It's already been said, but it keeps getting reused as it's a good comparison. 1 game doesn't shut people up after underachieving career. I disagree with about everything you said. I just wanted to point out the overly obvious.

While 1 TO is huge, there is a lot more that separates them. QB#1 - Yrds/A: 8.37, QB rating(own 21-50): 114.9, QB rating (opp 49-20): 94.2 QB#2 - Yrds/A: 7.14, QB rating (own 21-50): 81.3, QB rating (opp 49-20): 69.6 I added the situational stat, because it was something I noticed early in the season, as drives seemed to be stalling. IMHO, that's a major factor in the Bears are averaging over 1 less scoring drive a game.

I've lost it...we really are ran by a bunch of clowns

I like Emery and Trestman. The team is in the middle of a major transition and massive rebuilding. Name an impact player that was not 30 or nearing 30 when Emery took over as GM. Years of bad drafting have left the Bears barren on offense and defense. In the 2 years since Emery has been here, new starters seen at at 8 positions(all but Cutler, Forte and Garza) on offense and and 8 on defense (Briggs, Tillman, and Jennings) going into this year. All of the players retained as starters will need replaced sooner than later due to injuries, age, or lack of talent. I think Emery has done a respectable job trying to field a team. A lot of heat is thrown on the McClellin pick, but the Bears got a type flight WR in Jeffery that year too. Lovie obviously would have input in that draft and Angelo's scouts that never produced a good draft. I don't think any of the line backers on the team will be starters in the next few years, but there there are very solid back ups. Angelo and Lovie left this team with no foundation for the future, and I still feel Trestman is hampered by Cutler on offense. In all, I think the team is in a much better position than they would have been if Angelo and Lovie ran the last 3 drafts and free agency. Arians would suck with what was left on this team too. -

I am still not on number 7. Forte has a bad rep for getting tough yards, but the Bears never had a line to block in those situations before and just not being leaned on it now. They triend bringing in Marion Barber III and others for that before and they had the same or worse results than forte in those situations. They really need to draft his replacement, he is getting up there in age with touches. He's not bad now but will be in the next couple years.
-
It's the one I really wouldn't want to go. You can't win there. Either the Bears will beat them like every team does and should, or Lovie wins and makes you 100X more down on the Bears.
-
I've been trying to argue that for a while now. Cutler's numbers look good this year, but the offense looks stagnant.
-
Kromer is a fantastic O-Line coach, and I think we can thank him for the additions of De La Pointe and Bushrod. I think he may even make a good HC. I'm not so sure how he is doing well in his role right now, even tho what he actually does is some what foggy.
-
I'm not sure this team will have to tank it. What's sad, is this may be the best position the Bears will be in to draft a franchise QB. They will go D instead, because they will be trying to save their jobs and Cutler's contract. A year under Trestman before he is fired, and behind Cutler for a year, would be the perfect situation for a young franchise QB. Then have a competition between him and Cutler the 3rd year.
-
Clausen should be playing now to get some experience, limit a chance of injury to Cutler, and to just have a look at him.
-
I went ahead and played this week. Started Gronk, he's already at 45 points....
-
It get's ugly when I miss Bear games. I missed the first half of this game fixing a laptop, missed last weeks game getting my broken car home.
-
That's his position lol. I just wanted to see a guy covered in mulch, telling the cops to call his boss John Elway, while hiding the shovel he hit a cab driver with.

I could see a blow out by either team. The Bears Dline with Ratcliff back could dominate a questionable Patriots Oline. The Bears CB's outclass the Patriot WR's even with a one armed Fuller. This is a prime match up for Forte. However, it is the Patriots with a great pass D this year, Gronk is uncoverable, and they don't lose at home. I'm expecting a close game, and Bears win if the Bears O show up this game.
