  1. I hear he also had sports hernia surgery that he was recovering from also so this is a wait and see for me!
  2. Okay everyone I'm going to give you two names. John Shoop and Ron Turner. Then the stats that were brought up during the game saying that the last 2 QBs that attempted this few amount of passes and win games were both coached by Fox(Tebow and Weinke). Both of the OCs I named were basically ground and pound and this is what we are seeing now with Loggins.
  3. I've been watching Bears football since '66 ! How long you been watching? Don't you ever question how much I have vested in this team!
  4. Yes I can because this is the defensive play we have been waiting for! And you are worried about what could go wrong. Turn off your set!
  5. What game are you watching? You are really pessimistic!

  7. Is it me or is DL trying to buck trends on pass plays?
  8. There was times during training camp Whitehair was at guard while Long was recovering from injury and that in itself may have something to do with his inconsistency.
  9. Today 4 members of the secondary had a coming out party Fuller, Amos, Jackson and Callahan. The fact that 3 of the four were drafted by the Bears and the for came as an undrafted FA makes me think Donatell is doing some coaching also Amos looks physically different.
  10. Everyone the starting WRs were McBride and Gentry! Both making their first NFL starts. How much acclimated to the play book could they have been?I agree that these are Glennon plays but it seems they spent the entire game trying to buck tendencies, especially with Cohen on the field.
  11. I'm really mum on what has transpired so far on the field but, seeing similarities to when in 1982 Jim McMahon was inserted into the lineup during the strike shortened season. When we saw McMahon clearly we knew that he new what he was doing. I saw the same thing in Biscuit. Pre-snap penalties by both OTs and questionable holding penalties on long gaining plays by the offense turned this into a close game when it was clear Sam Bradford was willing to gift wrap the game for the Bears in the first quarter because he clearly was remembering the fact that he replaced the starter under similar circumstances last year and rushed his return.IMO there should be someone on this roster that can be converted to a OL and I'm thinking one candidate is Shaheen. He has the frame, size and athleticism to be a Lane Johnson type at the position. This franchise went from trying to convert players from defenders to offense and vice-versa for years and now there has been an enormous push for position versatility. I recently kept asking for the Bears to try and convert Jeremy Langford to WR because of his ball skills size and history as a quick study at MSU. This worked back when the team was good with guys like Fencik, Moorehead Bortz, Big Cat and Azumah. I pick one player a year that I think could make a change and I think Shaheen is the one this year. If this switch was made and we get a starter quality OT in round 2 the draft looks a whole lot different.

My mindset was to stay at 3 and draft the best available player that you can plug and play from day 1. Trading up one slot and then declaring the pick basically a redshirt still baffles me. I still don't believe that the Browns would have drafted number 1 overall and then trade up to number 2 pick to get Trubisky. The Browns did what they were going to do unless Trubisky would have dropped to later in the first round. Again as everyone has said my previous thoughts don't matter because the most anticipated debut of a player in a Bears' uniform since Jim McMahon is happening Monday Night and I'll be watching every play and requested the next day off strategically based on the schedule and not thinking Trubisky would be starting. Maybe I should play Powerball.lol
  13. So with 18 mil in his pocket he could have said F U because its guaranteed and he didn't! He also talked about going through this before, that's not bought that is who he is!
  14. With all the negativity surrounding his play Glennon accepted his demotion with more class and dignity than anyone has in the past other than Kurt Warner when the Giants put Eli Manning in for him. Glennon vowed to help Trubisky any way he can and be ready if called upon again. That's putting team before personal goals magnified.

The knock on Trubisky was that he only had 13 starts at UNC and no experience taking snaps under center. If he sat out this whole year he still would have only 13 starts and no snaps from under center next year also and the only way to rid that lack of experience is to actually play. I felt all along when he didn't start the season that this would be the game he would start and I feel confident that he is going in at the right time and should be well prepared for what the Vikings will try to do to him defensively.

My take on all of this was the way Glennon played in the preseason continued in 3 of the 4 regular season games and when allegedly the players went to the coaching staff and asked for this change, the headline might not be to far off. Listening to the Score and AM 1000 all season there was rumblings that the players all along preferred Trubisky over Glennon and Wheaton's comments post game about not having a catch seemed to echo those sentiments.
  17. I have always felt that your top 5 pick should have an impact and when you trade up one slot to get a player obviously you covet him. So why wasn't he put on the field? It was obvious that this resilient young man who waited his turn in college and with the Bears has the perfect demeanor for this team.We all saw it in preseason that he has talent and that whole "snaps under center" argument has always puzzled me with all the one back and Shotgun snaps all NFL teams employ. As for only 13 college starts, well that was 13 more starts than Glennon had in the same span and it showed in the first 4 games. When you factor in that neither had taken a snap in Loggans offense, what logic is that Glennon has more experience. When you see a veteran QB have absolutely no pocket awareness and the coaching staff covering up his shortcomings as a fan you wonder if they think we are all stupid!
  18. When you look at the full 22 do you see if they are only doing 1 and 2 man routes with only a RB check down as the only other option?
  19. He also wore a headset to here the play calls as he did in game 1. He was quoted as saying he didn't offer much input early in game 1 to Glennon because Mike was doing a great job and knows what to dobut later in the game he was letting Glennon know what the Falcons DBs were doing against certain looks the Bears had. Sounds to me like he is trying to be PC and is just waiting for his turn.
  20. He was on the sideline with a baseball cap on and a clipboard next to Loggins I saw in a couple of shots.
  21. It gets better, allegedly the main reason the play wasn't overturned is because they blew the whistle when he was out of bounds but it wasn't mentioned during the broadcast!
