  1. When the Bears play the Falcons Jay Cutler will be the color analyst for the game on FOX.
  2. Trubisky is already working in the comunnity per his interview on ESPN 1000 he said that he, Kevin White and Jordan Howard are in Wheaton, Illinois at a 7 on 7 youth football tournament trying to bring awareness to the kids and parents about being properly hydrated and of course its sponsored by Gatorade. Honestly the way he spoke today with David Kaplan, got me rooting for this guy to succeed.
  3. In order to enter Training Camp this year you will be required to go on the Bears web site and get "free" tickets. So many families have visited Training Camp to watch the team practice over decades without any problems and now in 2017 this team has decided that only computer friendly fans should have access to Training Camp that has no reserved seating for the average fans but, some groups have some of the few bleachers reserved be it sponsors or whoever. This organization continues to make questionable decisions when it comes to relating to the fans. If I attend anything this year it will be the fan fest at Soldier's Field. If I have to go on line to gain entrance at least I can pick where I sit.

BFNYC thank you for recognizing what I was gettingat and for your last comment Matt Barkley made the most starts for this team last year and we still have the same OC,OL and a new QB.Barkley was the number 3 QB last year so it is possible that Glennon who is not considered mobile could get roughed up and that leaves the choice to Sanchez or the number 2 pick in the draft.
  6. Every year I try to go to Bears TC during my B-Day week and I have no idea when they get to Bourbonais and see that they have the first preseason game on Aug 10. WTBS I think I have an opportunity to go the week prior to the first preseason game and would like to know if anyone on this board has intentions of going that same week, because I would like to do a meet and great with you! Are you interested in making this a board group event?

I'm so tired of this he played in a spread offense in college and has never taken snaps under center debate when they get to the NFL and play for a team that has 1 RB and 2 TEs and 3 WRs in their first snap in the NFL. This is all crap. The NFL scouts and experts act like they don't spread teams out in the NFL. We have seen many plays when the QB has an empty backfield at PRE-SNAP! I capped the word pre-snap because that is what is the most important transitions for a college QB to the NFL game. There hasn't been many QB prospects over the years who have played in a total pro set in college so I think this is a really useless debate. When NFL teams go no huddle and make play calls at the line of scrimmage what is that. I remember when the Bears had Gary Crowton as an OC and they called all his bubble screens and most of his offense a college offense but, the bubble screen now is a staple in NFL now.
  8. This is the most unusual off season I have ever witnessed! In most drafts " They say" 3 years to evaluate. All of a sudden we need instant evaluation not by anyone who has the testicles to put their name to their opinion but by clandestine interviews with league executives. Horse Crap!Ryan Pace who I'm still taking a wait and see approach to after 3 years does a solid job of bringing in young veteran talent from other teams' rosters to minimal deals and get solid production from those pickups. Its June and this team is not even in training camp yet nor are any other teams, but we have evaluations of teams talent based on some talking heads projections and some writer trying to justify the budget being spent on he/she in spite of the layoffs occurring at ESPN.
  9. I hate to think this way but I got a feeling Danny T is going to be waived injured. I don't want Decker or Harris and if you are going for another vet WR Crabtree should have been the guy. Let Kwit.. start and Jones and Timu backup.
  10. Before the OTAs, last mini camp and Training camp I have a preseason list of 25 guys I will be watching at the beginning of the college season whatever way I can to see if they are prospects that can help the Bears. I will also try and make a list of FBS and small school prospects since everything is on the table with Pace.
  11. With Pace's background in pro scouting, its not surprising that he can target some decent young pro prospects on other rosters.I too wonder about his draft approach but,I'm willing to be patient. 2 years in a row he has made what some consider a bold move when he traded up for Floyd last year. With a tweak in Floyd's tackling technique he looks like a player on the rise. He just got to keep the head up when tackling.
  12. So you are saying the Patriots will franchise their back up QB next off season?
  13. Ha ha, I wasn't yanking your chain. I truly think that Urlacher was the last(as in the past) great 1st round pick this team has made. The jury is still out on Long. If the conversation was about the best 2nd rounder the Tillman,Forte, Hester and Jeffrey debate might be good with the jury still out on Goldman as well. What I was implying is that since Urlacher the Bears have only hit on one first rounder since him and that is Long. Tommie Harris was good for a couple years and dominant but he and Long are looking similar right now imo.
  14. The current scheme makes that hard to answer but, I'll say Leonard Floyd. My question for you is: With Urlacher being a sure fire HOF inductee, is he the last GREAT first rounder this franchise has made?
  15. This is good for competition and to be quite honest,if Cruz is healthy, who on this roster has more production than him? The key will be what's guaranteed.
  16. I believe that Trubisky will get starts next year and I hope for a scenario similar to what happened for the Eagles and Glennon getting traded for a 1st rounder. I've watched this sport for too many years to believe a guy you had this much conviction in, you feel he can't be ready? That doesn't make sense to me. They went up 1 pick and used 3 picks as well as a cloak of secrecy so much so that even the guy picked had no clue you were going to pick him and there are strong indications even the coach may not have known until it happened and we should believe that, he won't be ready to start this season? I'm not buying that. Just like Glennon is saying the right things so is Pace and Fox( Who never is straight forward with answers). Glennon indicating that he will be a good teammate to Trubisky is a no choice situation for him with this guy being the number 2 pick in the draft and he actually worked with the offensive staff before Glennon did. What else are you supposed to say Steve DeBerg 2017?
  17. Eli Manning didn't. Kurt Warner was the starter day 1.
  18. If Sitton is on that side and allegedly you want to move Long to that side then you can't be happy with Sitton's play there.
  19. I'm probably the only one that thinks this may turn out like Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn or Kurt Warner and Eli Manning.
  20. I still think ifTrubisky had gone back to UNC he would be ranked among those guys, so we got one of those prospects a year early.
  21. IMO I consider the term"Franchise QB" to mean an organization considers the quarterback a foundation to build a team around. So I would consider a few more guys on that list to fit my understanding of the term.
  22. The real intriguing prospect is Franko House listed as a TE but, when looking for his stats all I found was basketball stats. At 6/6 248 I believe this is the latest attempt to find Antonio Gates.
  23. It turned out that he helped SMC do something that caused the league to legislate a rule to be changed on Field Goal attempts.
