One option not discussed is trading for players with existing and expiring contracts that the cap space will be needed for. There may be some Colts' defensive players available next year that may be enticing to this defensive staff next year and maybe in a couple of days when the June 1st cuts hit. The Colts also are change DCs so there may be some scheme casualties from them as well. Chris Ballard is a savvy GM that doesn't tip his hand early. I truly believe we may see quite a few transactions by the GM during this upcoming period.

I remember the buzz about the UDFA signing of Charles Snowden and like Trevis Gipson he was a DE also that the previous regime thought was a LB! I'm thinking that this is another sleeper in the mist.

I watch Good Morning Football, Get Up and First Take every morning and I have not seen this story mention period! So, I'll wait but, Roquaun since drafted has exhibited a different approach to life. I don't know if everyone remembers about the stories about Roquan and the adult films star and the pictures that surfaced. I'm not as sold on Roquan as most Bear fans because of his injury history and size.

AZ please don't get me started on Lynch, he gets way too much credit for fleecing Pace for that one trade but, he is just like Elway when it comes to looking for QBs, he's never satisfied. Jimmy G although oft-injured has been decent for them and has gotten them to the SB and a play away this year from returning this year. John Lynch is the most overrated GM in the league IMO.

Two players who were rookie last year who I think could step up are Dazz Newsome who looked good on special teams as a returner and a gunner who didn't get much chance on offense. The other is Thomas Graham Jr. I felt once he got playing time he looked much better than Vildor and I think he is a great scheme fit for this defense.

I always have started to wait to post about any subject involving, the Bears on this board and other sites like Sports Mockery but, with this GM parlaying 6 into 11, after watching Mister Trade up create our current buzz, I'm intrigued to see what happens especially with the schedule being released the most important thought is, " Do We Have A Franchise QB?.

Thinking that Poles has some knowledge of this player since he was a KC player that he was in the room evaluating.

Without starting a big debate but, this draft may have yielded 3 starters next year with kick returner and punter included with what plays out in training camp. A lot of these players are developmental and point to this HC saying he loves the teaching aspect of the game.

Because I feel this is unchartered territory for me as a fan because, this team has never torn it down like this in my fan lifetime since '66. The only time we had a rebuild was during the tenure of GM Jim Finks and he wasn't under the same scrutiny as Poles is now. I'm not predicting any wins or who will make the roster right now because of how accurate I'm not mocking players to the Bears.

I consider Gordon and Brisker potential starters and if on opening day when the Bears receive their first kickoff, I expect Jones or Ebner to be on the receiving end mwking one or the other technically a starter. All the rest of our 8 other picks, I consider developmental or catching lightning in a bottle. Similar to my mindset about UDFAs.

This thread says it all about our ability to figure out what this GM is doing. We are questioning his FA approach and now all his picks. There was a graphic that said we haven't won a playoff game since 2010 scrolled on the screen during the draft. Our mocks except for Dawhizz have been totally off what has happened.

The reason I'm confused about the selections is because I haven't been able to monitor a GM that stuck to his board. The last 3 GMs Angelo, Emery and Pace were not this measured and I was on my keyboard voicing my opinion. This is new for us and maybe this GM was trying to light a fire under the remaining players on the roster by calling out specifically the O-linemen. Watching the play of the secondary last year on game 1 against the Rams and no one taps the WR while he is on the ground is all that I needed to see to realize we needed an upgrade in the secondary. I'm going to sit back and watch the process because this is a refreshing break from the normal Bears draft activity.

In the season opener if the Bears receive the kickoff and Velus Jones Jr is back to return it that could technically be your 3rd starter.
