  1. I think Tonga will not be a fit in a 4-3 and will not be with the team. I'm intrigued with the thought of Gipson putting his hand back in the dirt every down as well as Mario Edwards Jr and Robert Quinn tutoring them. Figuring out what to do with Mack, Nichols and Goldman is going to be key to this offseason imo.
  2. So according to most reports all the hires on offense have ties to the Shanahan type offense. The coaches on defense have ties to the 4-3 Cover 2 scheme that Eberflus ran in Indy
  3. After what Campbell did to his first OC Anthony Lynn, I could see them having trouble getting someone to want to be OC. I could see Nagy and DiFillipo getting interviews with Pedersen in Jax.
  4. Not me! Strictly I rooted against you because you are an arrogant a$$hole. Remember saying "I Own You" at Soldier Field? That has nothing to do with your vaccination status. Also the fact that your team has choked 3 years in a row has something to do with it. Plus real Chicago Bears fans hate you anyway.
  5. One thing I know is Dabol will not make a lateral move to OC for the Bears. With Poles now being GM I hope that Dave Toub gets an interview in the mix as well Bienemy. The only other guy that intrigues me is Dennis Allen who seems to have the plan to confuse Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers as well as the 49ers Demeyco(sp?)Ryans.
  6. I have been an avid watcher of ESPN's NFL Live and just a couple of years ago Bill Polian was a regular contributor on that program which leads me to believe he is still connected in league circles. The only thing recently that worried me about Polian was he thought Lamar Jackson should become a WR.
  7. Gabriel Davis just made playoff history with 4 touchdown catches.
  8. To your credit more digging I found out that he was in a struggle with Bill O Brien over personnel and that he decided to step away because of his wife's illness and the rumor mill says O'Brien won the battle.
  9. That sounds like a late rounder to me because all teams will want due diligence on his medical history
  10. I believe hiring Harbaugh would come with a similar price tag and package like Gruden got in Vegas. Gruden picked Mayock to be his GM. I'm not sure the Bears may be willing to pay the price to get Harbaugh and give him that structural power. With Polian involved I can't see him recommending that.
  11. It was said that Smith stepped away while his wife battled cancer.
  12. Justin Fields is a work in progress mainly because of his experience in college and current NFL head coach. For him to not be taking snaps from the beginning of TC and now being put under the microscope makes me think this head coach is dodging how he treated the other first round QB under his tutelage.
  13. As a long time listener to ESPN 1000 "JD's" Bear hits were something I looked forward to because he was precise and direct with the info he presented! I loved his input and hope and pray for his son. I don't know what the bears donated but, it looks like the Packers donated 250K.
  14. The CFP was disappointing and now again two SEC teams meet for the Chip! The 1/1/22 Bowl games were much more entertaining.
  15. Congrats and God Bless!
  16. With your letter vs the thousands to continuously show up, he is humoring you because as you stated others continue to show up and with the news that they were able to secure a bid for the Arlington Park property, should tell us all that they have the money plus the backing of the NFL to get that done but are not keeping an eye on the bread winner! Mad L thanks for your passion Lemon
  17. I forgot to mention the Bears are paying decent money to Jimmy Graham and also have Jesse James on the roster as well as JP Holtz and yet non have had an impact!
  18. Yes and though the ball was not catchable he was clearly hit. That call is usually made on Fair Catch plays so I'm confused!
  19. Through 4 games we have watched the Tight Ends be a non-factor in this so called Tight End Centric Offense! Sunday they were part of max-protection and a couple of lead blocks and a couple of targets to Kmet. That clearly wasn't the head coach calling the plays because those "Wild Cat" formations were a total surprise to the defense and us viewers! It is amazing when a QB has protection plus "Fitting" play calling what they can do, be it Andy Dalton or Justin Fields. We brought in more speed to stretch the field and today it showed. The right side of the OL and the rookie QB continue a trend that was happenning in the preseason of allowing pressure from the QB's front side and the first one Fields avoided with a spin move at the last second. This has to get better with both the Oline and rookie QB.
  20. How can you call "Catch Interference" when the player catches the ball? I know there should be a "Halo" when signaling for a fair catch but, that was a attempted return with the returner clearly making the catch cleanly! If you noticed during the broadcast the network didn't replay it more than once. ling for a

    Rookie QBs

Dan Orlovsky on ESPN breaking down the Bears game film says the Bears only called 2 RPOs and didn't max protect on any pass attempt and Miles Garrett said that he was surprised that Fields was not move out of the pocket and said it was easier to know where he was going to be.
  22. He thinks he's fooling somebody. It doesn't matter who is QB he runs the same plays every game.
  23. I'm not sure who is out there that has previous GM experience but, if I remember correctly the Bears have not had a GM with previous experience since Jim Finks. After he was forced out the door every GM following was a first time GM and all the head coaches except John fox have been first time head coaches. My picks for first time head coaches are Joe Brady, Eric Bienemey, Stanford's Shaw and Byron Leftwich.
  24. It's clear to me that both Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy talk out of both sides of their mouths. The best QB in preseason was Fields, Andy Dalton is not Alex Smith who also had some mobility. I can see Aaron Donald ringing Dalton's bell and Fields being inserted in the 2nd Qtr with only scout team reps making Nagy look very stupid since this O-Line is still under construction and Dalton having been in concussion protocol last season will be at risk behind this patch work line. Leonard Floyd and Aaron Donald ought to be salivating right now.
