Sorry pal but WE are worse tha Det at running the ball, look it up and since when is it Martz's fault that the Lions suck at INTs? Detroit has the 8th best passing team in the NFL. You might want to re-evaluate your thoughts.
-
Lack of attention to the run game????? He doesn't have a RB. Have you forgotten what his running game in St Louis was? In his sleep he could put together a better running game than anyone on this staff could.

New England was a far superior team having an off half of football. The REAL difference was that the Patriots knew they were gonna win and the Giants were just glad to be there. Look, you can say whatever you want about the Patriots but these guys aren't gonna just roll over for anyone. You better come prepared to play 60 minutes, not 59 because in that 1 minute, they will turn the table on you and never look back. Here's another big difference in the level of play between them and everyone else. And one thing our supposed top 10 WR Mr. Berrian should pay VERY CLOSE attention to; Randy Moss was a stud blocking last night. Every play he was not the go to guy, he was knocking somebody on their ass. THAT is what NE has that nobody else does, a committment to excellence that makes a player like Randy Moss buy into the concept of teamwork. That's why they are 16-0.

Crayton 48 catches for 689 yards and seven touchdowns Berrian 67 receptions for 920 yards and four touchdowns You really think Berrian is even better than this guy? And you're calling Crayton marginal? I have watched him and he is alot more physical than Berrian. Berrian has more speed but suspect hands is the equalizer.

Screw Nick Barnett. He's a illiterate Moron. If shit were brains, he wouldn't have enough to stink.

Look, if Briggs didn't play against the Packers, I doubt he'll play against the Saints. I would rather play Williams at this point anyway. We need to get more looks at him. If I were Lovie, I'd want to see more of Williams simply because we are really going to need to be certain he can get the job done on the off chance we don't resign Briggs AND Williams might be building trade value if we do resign Briggs.
-
If we can resign Berrian at a reasonable price then I'm good with it but he simply is NOT a premier WR and does not deserve that kind of money. I've said it before. He doesn't run great routes, he doesn't block well down field, he doesn't finish his routes to keep his man occupied and his hands are suspect. I just think he's a lazy guy.

I do like the way you think but I think we need to be more frugal with our cap space. First, I like the idea for QB. All those afraid Grossman will leave because he got blasted by the media need to speand some time in Philly, NY, Miami, Dallas, LA or, truth be told, just about any NFL city nowadays. Who would of thought our media geniuses would turn on Urlacher the way they did? I'm not saying it wasn't justified but they did go after him pretty good. I think the best chance for redemption with Rex is right here. At least he will get a shot and probably more of a shot at starting than anywhere else. But hey, if we need to let him leave and keep Griese, Im fine with that. My BIGGEST ISSUE right now is the o line. I want 2 FA guys and 2 high draft picks dedicated to it. No signing or extensions make ANY sense if we don't fix this o line. Not Berrian, not a RB, Not a QB, nothing. That has got to be JAs first priority. Back to Berrian. If his deal is cap friendly, then yes, sign him but then we have to accept Briggs is gone. I'm ok with that but do I want to spend top 10 money on Berrian? HELL NO. He is not worth it. He may be the best option we have at a WR becoming a playmaker but if he isn't a consistent playmaker, it's a waste of time and money. He is lazy, he doesn't block downfield, he doesn't finish his routes and his hands are suspect. We can all remember the Davis play where Davis was sure to score if he gets a downfield block from Berrian, who just stood there. A top 10 receiver knows the importance of blocking and taking their man away from the play by running their routes to completion. He gets paid way too much money to have to be told that. I would like to have another option at RB just in case Benson doesn't show up. I think he's nothing more than a bust but right now, we don't have much of a choice. I would like a get another WR in here as well. I don't know why have to suffer with WRs and QBs every freakin year but it seems we do. I like Davis, I think he's a great spec teams compliment to Hester. I love Hester as w WR but this guy is as dumb as a box of rocks and I worry he's not smart enough to get the offense. He's always out of position and has to be told where to go. They also have to decide what they are going to do with Hesters contract. On defense, I would like to see one change at least considered and it's been bantered about in the papers, that is moving Urlacher to the outside. I think he gets more action and becomes more of a threat as a pass rusher. Something along the lines of an LT. I'm good with our LBs, even assuming Briggs is gone because I think Williams will develop into a good player. On the line, we got Tommies deal staring us in the face after next year so we gotta take that into account whatever we do with Briggs, Berrian, Hester and Rex this year. Tommie is gonna require and boatload of money. I think our depth will be good with Tommie, Dusty, Adams, Idonijie and the 2 kids we added, Kennedy and Toeaina. We're set at DE for the time being as well with Wale, Brown Anderson Bauzin and Idonjie helping out. In our backfield, the one piece that's missing is the Safety. That needs to be our first draft pick. A big hitting safety who can cover. We can then make a decision with the other guys we rotate in and out but I am banking on Mike Brown coming back to play a full season. I know, it's a pipedram but if it did happen, we'd be lethal.
-
I do think too many people gave him his HOF jacket a bit early.
-
Amen. Forget this nonsense about moving Tillman. DRAFT A DAMN SAFETY. Leave Mike Brown alone. His deal is cap friendly and we still have guys to develop. Sooner or later, even this collectiion of garbage we call a coaching staff will realize that in the NFL, you gotta develop talent or you will be destined to 7-9 at best your entire career. Now, forget about moving Manning to CB. HE DOESN'T FIT! WE NEED AN HONEST TO GOD SAFETY.
-
That might be the best overall solution. Let somebody else set the price for him, then we decide whether to match it or not.
-
I think Berrian is lazy. He doesn run routes well, he doesn't seem to get open that often, he doesn't block well, he takes plays off and he doesn't have top 15 hands. I would spend that money to keep him, let somebody else agonize over this stiff.
-
Or just as important, football prior to the Dallas Crybitches inception.
-
I think they need a total redo of how they've been identifying AND drafting offensive talent. I think if anything, this coaching staff has shown that they do NOT evaluate offensive talent very well. Let me just site another example if I could. I don't know who the guy is from Dallas who scouted Tony Romo but THAT is a guy I want here at whatever salary he wants. He can take the place of the guy or guys who somehow managed to miss a kid in our own back yard. Even if Lovie and Angelo decide to keep Turner, they should bring in a offense consultant to spend a couple months evaluating what we have and what we need and what we can do. It certainly couldn't hurt.
-
They will also have Hass but I know it's scary and that's why I think we could manage to redo Mooses deal and let Berrian go. I just think with the money it will take to sign Berrian, he's just not going to add enough value. What good would Randy Moss or TO do if our QB can't get the ball off to them? I know somewhere there is middle ground. I just hope Angelo can find it.
-
I would just as soon see the Bears spend every dime they have in FA on the o line. A great o line that gives your QB the proper amount of time and who run blocks well is worth it's weight in gold. Frankly, I don't think we will be in that bad of shape defensively. Even if we lose Briggs, which I hope we don't but I think any good talent evaluating GM would tell you that your lines set the tone for everything else. No safety in the world will make up for a poor d line. Not Palamaulo, not Sanders, not Landry. Nobody. No WR will make up for a bad o line. Not Jerry Rice, not TO, not Randy Moss, nobody. Spend the money on the line in FA. FA 1. Get the best 2-3 o linemen our money can buy. 2. Look for a serviceable RB, be prepared that we will be saying goodbye at some point to Benson. 3. Try to sign Berrian but DO NOT give him top ten money. He is simply not worth it. He's lazy, if he is not the primary, you CANNOT count on any blocks downfield from him. He doesn't get open enough and way way way too many drops. 4. Try to resign Briggs but be prepared that we have to sacrifice somewhere and the O line needs far outweight ANY defensive needs. If Angelo hadn't been such a pussy in promising Briggs we wouldn't tag him this year, we could have at least transition tagged him and let somebody else set the price for him and then all we'd need to do is match it if we could and it would be a done deal. PISS POOR job by Angelo on that one. I don't think Briggs or his Minion woulod have objected to the transition tag. They would not have been sacrificing anything. We threw it in needlessly. 5. Look at serviceable safeties. Ya never know whats gonna happen even if ya draft a good one. Mike Brown needs to stay. Even if it means we roll the dice. The cap number is friendly and I think he would rengotiate anyway. 6. Resign Rex. He has said all he wants is a chance to finish what he started, he knows he won't get big money so resign him and give him a shot with a decent o line. If we could get a great deal on a QB from elsewhere, that would be great but I don't see that happening. Players to launch... Archuletta...Bad move by Lovie Fix it now... Walker.....5M roster bonus? No thank you. Bad move by Angelo..fix that too. Garza, Miller, Mitchell..Launch em all. Moose....Too old and slow and his hands aren't dependable. If he renegotiates a cap friendly deal, keep him but if not, launch him. B Griese.. His money could help us sign o linemen. I like him but we need to hope Orton does well so we can keep he and Rex and draft a QB. Draft needs 1. Safety 2. DT I know I know, but we gotta reinforce the d line too. I just think we could get great value this year. 3. LB We are gonna need to hit on this pick because unfortunately, this guy might be replacing Url OR Briggs. Ya never know. We might even need to move this to a 2. pick. 3. O line I think we have 2 picks don't we? 4. O line 5. WR Sounds like alot of movement foir a team a yr removed from the SB but if we do get the o line of the future out of this, then we stand a chance at getting back to the SB and actually building for the future. Other issues. Assume we keep all these chowderheads we call coaches. We need to get a proper 2 TE formation installed and use the damn thing. If we lose Berrian, we are going to need to rely on Hass or Bradley. I would be nice to have a pair of dominant TEs as well. Get Hester properly entrenched in our offensive scheme. Get him ready for 20-25 plays per game on offense. Get him in the slot or wide with 2 TEs but get him out there. These guys need to drill this offense into his head. He is just NOT avery smart guy so they are going to have to figure a way to teach him the proper alignments, reads and make him an effective WR. That would really hep if we lose Berrian. I'm convinced with the talent we do have at WR and TE, we could have a great passing attack if we could just upgrade the o line.
-
I agree with Bears88. I think we need to get a consultant for the offense who knows what we need to do. JA and company really don't draft offense and need all the help they can get. I hope Ginny or Teddy force him to employ an offense consultant.

Iggy, thats the best sig I've seen yet. I damn near blew hot coffee through my nose I was laughing so hard.
