  1. Urlacher is nothing more than a shill and an ass licker for Lovie Smith. The FIRST thing out of his mouth should have been, "We just can't seem to stop anybody on third down". But no, he had to take a shot at Cutler and then Forte. Honestly, we were talking about trading Hester but Urlacher is the first guy I'd launch in the off season. I'd take a second for him. It's just too bad he can't shed blockers as well as he can run his mouth. He loves playing for Lovie? Great when we fire that dumbass Smith, we can make it a package deal with he and Urlacher. Bitch Crappidty and the Schooldunce Kid.
  2. Let's bear in mind though flea that we watched all of last year while Bennett sat and did nothing. If you remember, DA showed alot of athleticism in preseason with ONE catch. I am not saying that DA is our most polished WR OR our best. I am merely saying that I think his size, his instincts and focus are better suited to becoming the type of WR WE NEED and that at seasons end, if given more reps and PT, he COULD be one of our most polished WRs. Get him up to 220 lbs and with his strength, he becomes a formidable threat. Not neccesarily a #1WR but a guy who can be in a crowd and come out with the ball as opposed to what's happening with this group of wideouts now. They don't seem to be able to get separation on the intermediate routes.
  3. Well, I don't think Lovie knows alot about what's going on in-game. Ya know, I was laughing at him last week looking at him, he had that same drawn face, lithium stare going that Jauron did so well. I would really like to know how many Bear fans who aren't predisposed to liking lovie Smith think he should stay as coach. Hell, I'd like to find some that can give me a reason besides what we're paying the guy for him to stay.
  4. Listen, if you wanna hang your hat on a wannabe WR you go right ahead. Me? I'll stick with guys who have done it for awhile and that info from the site about Aromashudo's weight may not be right. I'd be willing to bet he's 210-212. Because he got cut doesn't mean he isn't better than hester or Iglesias. Keep him in the lineup so we have someone over 6 ft so we can see what he's capable of.
  5. Nobody's demanding you agree with the assessment but please don't tell me that you didn't think to yourself after watching Cutler drive this team methodically down the field on that drive only to watch him throw a silly pick, oh no, here we go again. Because 90% of the people I talk to about it did. If we take the 3 on that drive, we only need 3 at the end. Plain and simple. Gould wins it for us. Look, you can try to find issues with our WRs. I agree with those issues. Right now, our WRs are simply NONexistant. THEY STINK. None of them seem to be able to get separation and this has been going on for weeks. Hester included. It still does not negate the fact that Cutler blew it with those picks. I know he's pressing, everyone does. Why do you think we're seeing the schemes we're seeing? But Cutler has to be smarter than that. If he wants to roll out and move that pocket, doggone it, he has to tell Turner, look you idiot, you get some schemes together that allow me to get outside so I can have more time. Those are things he must do to fix this thing but don't sit there and tell me that Cutler wasn't the biggest culprit in this loss with 5 picks. That's just silly. I'll give the rest of these guys a solid kick in the ass for their crappy offensive play but Cutler needs a kick in the nuts for his stupidity. He should know better. This whole thing is about trust now. NOBODY on that offense trusts anyone and nobody on that defense trusts anyone. I'm sure Cutler probably thought hey, if I don't get 7, this defense is going to give up points all day, I can't afford to take just three. I wouldn't blame him if he didn't trust the defense, who does? He has to know though, that when he makes that decision, he just took 3 points from us and ANY points for an offense that has struggled as bad as this one is a good thing.
  6. Devin Hester is as good as he's going to get. Unfortunately for us, that means this coaching staff will continue to try and trot him out as our #1WR which is a dreadful mistake. It takes away from PT from guys like Aromashudo who have better size and are stronger than him that we really need. Hester is great if he gets by a CB otherwise, he's a #2 or 3 guy who is running 7-8 yd outs. We simply don't need that. From him OR Knox. I made a predicition and I'll stick by it. At the end of the season, if Aramoshudo isn't one of our most polished, I'll eat my words. I don't really care where he's been but I only know of him not making it at Indy before we got him but regardless, THAT does not mean he doesn't have better skills than hester. I believe he does and for THAT reason alone am glad he's here. He might be the only WR we have capable of fighting for a ball. The rest look pretty weak to me. I think we've also seen that teams do make mistakes sometimes letting talent go too early. Let's see, we had Thomas Jones, Ced benson, Mike Gandy, Marc Colombo just to name a few. They all look pretty darn good right now.
  7. Look, Jay Cutler lost this game for the Bears. That's the long and short of it. His first pick was absolutely, positively unforgivable. He should have had his ass reamed when he came to the sidelines. THAT play turned the entire complexion of the game. It reminded me of Harbaugh audibling that play in 1992 and it not only turned that game around but I believe it turned the entire season around. WTF was he thinking? We did not mortgage our future for a taller version of rex grossman but right now, that's exactly what we have. What this organization needs to do is decide what they want to be when they grow up but first and foremost, Jay Cutler needs to decide what HE wants to be when he grows up. He's fixable but unfortunately, not by anyone on our staff. He needs a strong hand to get his attention. Ya know, what I liked about Singletary Thursday night was that when Nedney, a veteran kicker came off the field after missing that FG, Singletary was right there telling him HEY we cannot have that, I won't have that. Lovie Smith should have been there to tell Cutler, hey, you did NOT have to throw that ball. i don't want to see anymore of that. You just gave away points. You worked this team down the field like a pro and crapped down your leg at crunch time like a doggone rookie. What were you thinking? He's gotta see immediate consequences of those actions. This aw shucks approach Smithy takes to managing on field issues and problems is failing this team miserably. In the end though, Cutler deserves every bit of crap heaped on him. IT was HIS fault those picks, or at least the majority of them took place. He should be asking himself, how do I want to be remembered? As a guy who threw for 4,000 yds a season and lost every key game he ever played in because he could not contain his composure and threw the games away or somebody that threw for 3000 yds a season, who knew when and where to throw it away or eat it but led his team to numerous key game victories. The coaching staff is what it is. I think we all know by now that none of these bums is much good at developing talent ANY FREAKIN WHERE. Talk about Devin Hester? Great. Devin Hester is an incredible athlete who is showing his athleticism every week. BUT, Devin Hester is as dumb as a stump, he is NOT progressing as a WR but more just getting his hands on the ball when he can and making something happen. He will NEVER EVER EVER be a #1 WR and SHOULDN'T even be a #1 WR on the Bears. Frankly, it's an insult to guys who have spent yrs honing their WR skills to think anyone, let alone our group of keystone cop coaches could make him a #1 WR. When all is said and done, the most polished WRs on this team will be Bennett and Aromashudo. Of course, we'll probably have to wait on Aromashudo until we are completely out of the playoff picture since we're too busy trying to make Devin Hester into something he isn't. Johnny Knox is an unknown. He has brilliant flashes but we are failing him too. WTF he and Hester are doing running 7-8 yd routes is beyond understanding but hey, that's our coaches. I guess to sew up or just graciously end this rant, We all know that Cutler has the talent but he desparately needs a strong handed coach to reign him in or he will end up on the scrap heap 4 yrs from now or someone who knows how to get the most out of him will either trade us for him. The changes have to come form the top. That means all of em. Angelo, Smith and Turner. But since the common belief is that the McCaskeys are too stupid to see the forest thru the trees, maybe the fans ought to take it upon themselves to gently remind Cutler by bringing some signs to the game for him to read: Hey Jay, 3s okay. Jay, let someone else thread that needle. Jay, THINK THINK THINK. Maybe he'll get the message and if that doesn't work, HEY JAY STOP IT !!!! might work. But I hope he realizes he's on his own for the time being so any improvement is going to have to come from within.
  8. Unfortunately, it took this pile of shitbags that we call coaches, 9 freakin games to get him some PT. What, is he too stupid to understand Turners playbook too? This is just another example of this organization stifling it's talent. He should have been in weeks ago. We need physical guy like him and have needed one since the beginning of this damned season. This football team is NOT going anywhere if our best WR is Devin Hester. Of course, this coaching staff is bound and determined to make hester something he just obviously isn't, a number 1 WR. It's too bad they can't evaluate talent, we might just have 1-2 fewer losses. We probably won't see Aromashudo until we're definitely eliminated from contention but that will only serve to reinforce the ineptitude of this entire coaching staff so maybe that's a good thing.
  9. Conundrum my ass... Get to the bar...lol
  10. There are 3 glaring deficiencies in Lovie Smith. First, he does not do a good job in getting this team ready for big games. I'm not even sure he's smart enough to know what a big game is. Second, he does a horrible job of adjusting in-game. Making halftime adjustments won't do you any good if you spend the first half of the game puking all over yourself. Third, he is not a very good personnel guy. He can't evaluate talent, can't develop talent and he misuses the a lot of the talent he has. Frankly, I would be surprised if very many people did not agree that he should be fired if we don't make the playoffs. I believe most people agree he should go unfortunately, the only reason people can come up with for him to stay is his contract amount. That's a pretty sad statement. think about it. the only reason he keeps his job is because he makes too much to fire? Yikes, that's just plain bad.
  11. POint is we can win but I wonder if this team is tough enough or pissed enough to want to win. I guess we're about to find out how tough this bunch is the next 4 games.
  12. If anybody has watched GB, I think we can sympathize with their o line woes. Rodgers has been sacked more than twice as many times as Cutler yet GBs offense is ranked 11th while we're at 21. Rodgers is enjoying another great year stats wise Why? Because the guys in GB knopw how to maximize the talent they have. They are making that offense go by playing to the strengths of their players. What are we doing? Trying to make all our guys fit into Turners little box. Look, we can't fire our o line and we can't kill them but we can start using our other personnel better. Instead of having Cutler move around in a closing pocket, MOVE the damn thing. Let him roll out and throw. Move the pocket. That would help us save his life and it would also allow hester and Knox to get downfield and not have to die running 7 yd outs and inside curls. Olsen is a 6'5" guy with great speed, move him to WR. Make some mismatches get Davis in down by the goal line, he's 6'7" for Gods sake. I'm tired of the status quo. We need some innovation now. A loss Sunday if no changes are made and this team will slip into the tank and won't be coming back either. You let Cutler start seeing success and it's contagious.
  13. Either way, bullshit is bullshit. I am getting tired of all the minimizing being done by some of the media and ALL of the coaches. This football team has some freakin issues, many of which begin and end with THIS coaching staff. Hey, every time Lovies lips are moving, I'm willing to bet he's lyin his ass off. Tommie Harris was disruptive? Sure he was...TO THE PHUCKIN BEARS. Lovie you ignorant SOB, get your head outta your ass and do your job. By the way, you might try inspiring those that work for you to do theirs as well. Right now, this collective pile of shit we call a football team is getting ready to go into the tank and if that happens, they ain't comin back. So Mr Smith, my advice to you is, practice them like they've never practiced before, kick their asses, spit on them, bench em but STOP bullshitting them about what you see. They have eyes too. They know shit when they see it. They can also smell it.
  14. As much as I agree that we desparately need o line help, our WRs are just not getting open. Come on, we have 2 of the fastest guys in the league and even when they are on the field together not one of them can get open? They are either running the wrong routes, bad routes or are just getting outmuscled, but in any event, we MUST improve this group as well as the o line. If these guys can't become more physical, we are doomed. Knox needs to add about 15-20 lbs, keep that speed and THEN he'll be dangerous. But our WRs need alot more upper body strength than they have now.
  15. I tried a couple times to read your post but came to the conclusion that you might have had a few today and therefore weren't yourself. I don't really know what you are trying to imply but anything other than Cutler is a better QB in ANY regard than Orton is just plain silly.
  16. Orton was NOT good at moving around in the pocket and he couldn't run worth a shit. If you think he would have been able to do anything behind this line, you are just out of your freakin mind. I feel good about Cutler because he's a better QB than Orton and his upside is greater but stop bullshitting yourself into believing that we'd be near as effective with orton under center.
  17. Can you imagine how bad Orton would look this year playing in Chicago? Good God, he's gotta be thanking his lucky stars every week.
  18. Yeah Mad, he lost me there. ANYONE who thinks Smith is a great anything simply doesn't watch the games. Sorry Defiant but you are crazy as hell.
  19. I also believe this franchise changed when we brought in Cutler. The landscape changed. We can't have a coach who can't get this team ready to play, one that still misuses the talent almost reminiscent of Dave Wannstedt. There is simply no damned excuse good enough. This guy is the highest paid coach in the NFL and if he can't maintain a good level of play with some injuries, he's simply not worth the money we're paying him. You expect new coaches, guys who don't make shit to have an issue with injuries but there are too many coaches who have proven that they can win regardless of injuries and I can think of two of them, Coughlin and Bellichek who aren't making as much as Lovie is. So missing the playoffs should and I hope does cost Smith his job. I'm not sure Angelo will have any choice in the matter otherwise he's likely to go as well. I know he brought in Cutler but he's brought in Lovie too and all tyhe defensive misfires he's had are bound to weight heavily on somebody. The interesting part in all of this is that the Bears cannot afford another misfire on the HC. This is the third guy since Ditka to fail and they need a winner badly which is another reason I think Lovie goes this year. It's gonna cost them a bundle to eat Lovies contract so they couldn't possibly replace him with an unknown commodity. THAT will never happen. It MUST be a proven winner, a guy like Holmgren, Shanahan, Cowher or maybe Gruden, but I think one of the first three is the guy. Personally, I would love to see them fire Angelo and Lovie and bring in Holmgren as GM and Cowher as HC. I know people talk about HCs wanting GM responsibilities but I think thats way overblown and hot air. You give a good HC a great personnel/football guy and they will be happy.
  20. I believe that good and great coaches know when their teams are ready to play. They also know when they are getting overwhelmed. They know when to simply call a time out, get their guys to the sidelines and REITERATE the plan. What's wrong with this team is they have taken on the personality of the HC. Look, I don't care about seeing a ranting raving lunatic running up and down on the sidelines. I just want to see what we haven't for the last 2 1/2 yrs, a well coached, disciplined team playing good, fundamentally sound football. A team that blocks well tackles well. These guys don't seem phased by their shortcomings. They will readily admit their mistakes but will refuse to commit to fixing them. There are no reprecussions for bad play here. Just look at Omiyale, Pace, just to name a few. The defesne is a whole other story. Ptoblems with Bowman, harris, we can't get Gilbert in for a look. It's just sad.
  21. I have spent the last 2 1/2 years listening to the defense owning up to their bad play. Yes, it has been bad, FOR 2 1/2 YEARS! When does it get bad enough for you jerks to do anything about it? Telling me that you played badly and continuing to do so only makes me more certain that you are an idiot who is incapable of change or you don't know what changes to make or you just don't give a shit. Either way, it is unacceptable.
  22. The most UNFORGIVABLE sin Lovie Smith committed Sunday was letting Benson run up and down the field on us. If he had any balls at all, he would have said ya know what, we may lose this game but Benson isn't going to be the reason why and put 8 men in the box just like Houston did. What's worse was he did nothing to stop it. Yeah, we have some bad coordinators and assistants but frankly, I'm done chirping about this assistant or that assistant needing to go. Let's face it, Lovie Smith is the one responsible for this mess. I don't want to hear about lack of talent because he has had input with every single player Angelo has either drafted or brought in as FA. We cannot continue a assistant coach/coordinator carousel here. How many changes are we gonna make before we realize the guy whose hiring these stiffs needs to go? Lovie Smith is too rigid in his approach to this defense. Rivera tweaked it and made it more flexible and less predictable. The most glaring deficiency Smith has is inability to adjust in game. Adjusting after halftime is fine unless of course the shit has already hit the fan and you are 2 minutes into the first qtr. You have got to be more flexible to be successful as a HC. The media guys and fans alike have given Smith every excuse in the book. Now the latest is the money we would owe him. That money is a drop in the bucket for a Billion dollar franchise, especially the founding franchise. Lovie Smith IS the Rex Grossman of Hcs. We can keep giving him one more year but all that will happen is we will do down the line what we should have done this year, fire him. The only problem with doing it klater rather than sooner is the available HC talent pool sitting out there right now.
  23. I'm glad Harris is finally sitting. This bullshit of watching him play at half speed was getting old. I think anyone we put in there would be an improvement. I only hope that lazy fatass Harrison has been paying attention. This is his chance and he better not blow it. I'm still sick about the shape he was in when he came into camp. He was specifically told to lose some weight, instead the lard bucket came in overweight. Hopefully, he's learned his lesson. I guess we'll see Sunday.
  24. It's not people getting down on our defense. It's people, including me, getting down on Lovie Smith. There is a BIG difference. I can forgive a player mistake, that's all part of it, UNTIL that player continues to make the same mistake over and over again. Lovie Smith is consistently getting outcoached. Those of us that watched the game could see that Atlanta was going no huddle, why on earth did it AGAIN, take Lovie so long to adjust? He said going into halftime that they had to stop the no huddle. Well, no shit Sherlock but you needed to do that 10 minutes ago before they scored on your ass. The knock on Lovie is simple. He is just too slow to react. By the time he figured out what to do against the no huddle, the damage was done. If nothing else, call a timeout and regroup. He's certainly had to waste timeouts for less than that before.
  25. It took a halftime adjustment to figure out what to do about the no huddle so NO, we did not handle it. It cost us the game. Now, I will agree that we did play pretty good defense against them which is even more maddening when you ask how we could let them use that no huddle so effectively. That was coaching, plain and simple.
