  1. Bowlingtwig thank you man, I feel like Iam on island in cast away here.
  2. Iam so Glad jason you are expert on the o Line and even better then Tice. I would not know what to do with myself wihtout astute knowledge of how O line play should be. Man I to think wihtout all that knowledge I might have been lost the whole season knowing what was wrong.
  3. Nah, I just drank the kool aid long ago, Always a glass half full type, How I survied 23 years in the Army :)
  4. Well this article hints at to have a little faith. Tice is for real. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...st-in-tice.html
  5. I think the type of corner he is has more to do with his signing. He is a typical cover 2 corner, Many teams dont run that type D, So his signing is more to that then his inability to play good.
  6. Maybe continuity is why, makes sense to announce then if anyone steps up to surpass current starters role replace him.
  7. Sanzenbacher continues to shine Posted: 8/7/2011 10:12:00 PM Undrafted rookie receiver Dane Sanzenbacher continued to make the most of first- and second-team reps in Sunday night’s practice, just as he has done since the beginning of training camp. The 5-11, 180-pounder from Ohio State caught a touchdown pass from Caleb Hanie in the back of the end zone during a red-zone drill and later made an 11-yard catch on fourth-and-10, sustaining a two-minute drive that ultimately resulted in a field goal. “He’s kind of the perfect guy to play in the slot,” said coach Lovie Smith. “He’s not the biggest guy around, but he’s got great quickness, runs great routes and has good hands. He’s a confident player. “He came here looking to earn a position on the team. We give everybody an opportunity to show what they can do. He’s taken advantage of a lot of reps he’s gotten also. As a rookie you want to stand out and make some plays, and we’ve all noticed him just about every practice. He’s doing a great job.” Also in Sunday’s practice, receiver Earl Bennett made up for a drop in the red zone by catching two TD passes from Jay Cutler, including one juggling grab with safety Chris Harris drapall over him. Cutler generally looked sharp in the drill, but made one mistake when he tried to squeeze a pass into tight coverage over the middle and it was intercepted by middle linebacker Brian Urlacher. Cutler later produced the play of the day in 11-on-11 drills when he connected with receiver Devin Hester deep down the right sideline, dropping the ball between Harris and cornerback Tim Jennings. Nickel back D.J. Moore again showed his ball skills by picking off a Hanie pass that was deflected by rookie safety Chris Conte. The first- and second-team offenses produced Robbie Gould field goals of 44 and 38 yards to cap two-minute drills. Cutler completed passes of 18 yards to a sliding Hester and 16 yards to receiver Sam Hurd. Hanie followed by connecting on throws of 19 and 15 yards to receiver Onrea Jones while also completing the aforementioned fourth-down pass to Sanzenbacher. Seems he has a different view of himself and its translating to play time. He is making most of it.
  8. Could be where the 46th player active will come in
  9. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,4454141.story Hester not making it easy descision. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,7546955.story Knox being held out 2 Practices I think is making it hard on him being a starter at this point, Others are getting the shot. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,4491884.story Guys like this one are making a splash so far.
  10. Running backs are 3rd IMHO. The addition of Barber tipped that scale.
  11. Well from everything I read so far on Him is, he is is making a statement with the staff, His hands are great , He does not misss much when thrown to him. Acrobatic catches and toe leaners, He is reciever, of the Tom Waddle variety.
  12. http://www.chicagotribune.com/site/newspap...0,3561864.story Strength added by all Original recievers during off season. I doubt strength will be an issue, It will be route running. Have to look at several others in the mix as well, Dane is one, From all reports he is making a statement in camp. Hurd is also making people notice. Williams Knox Hester Bennett Hurd Dane Bold are special teamers in some form. An yone know how many we kept last year?
  13. His speech was all over the place to me, It seemed he was really nervous and never followed his notes. Was not the best speech I evere heard. and it paled agaist, Prime and Sharpe, Even Hamburger was better, But Iam very happy for him and glad to see him in hall he fully deserves it.
  14. It is back up now, Check it out

  17. Rated Here? Who the hell is Khaled Elsayed Never heard of the dude.
  18. Heard it somewhere, Tice loves Louis, Big Fast and mean. Been so much news out there i really cant remember, But he said it did not totaly heal till after season was over. As for Carimi, He is eons ahead of where C Williams was at when he joined the Bears, Williams was known as a dancing Bear type, Carimi is a Mauler in Harvey Dahl mold. I see Williamson the Bench if Tice has his way, He will be gone by next year.
  19. That and the fact they need to extend Forte and need another OL. Dont see it ever comming to fluition.
  20. Chicagobears website, and The tribune http://www.chicagotribune.com/site/newspap...0,2054534.story http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=8018 Look for Tice interview on the multimedia portion of the site. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...amp;play_clip=Y
  21. Webb is natural Left tackle, After last year seing how he preformed (if you look at tape) he greatly improved from middle to end of season And for Louis , He was hurt early on with a knee, After comming back he could not break into the line, Strength was lost in Leg. This year will be different, And tice feels Louis is the best guard on the team.
