  1. He was a terror in college, which was 4-3, Moved to 3-4 OLB position and never made the transition, His pass coverage was horrible. Here all they ask him to do is what he did in college, Get after the QB. He took alot of bad press early on like he was not motivated to play football, As a matter of fact Warren Sapp said it today on the news, But I think it was more his position then Football. And I feel alot of Ryans eval had to do with that as well. It will be interesting to see thats for sure. This could bode quite well for the Bears if he truly shows up.
  2. I really could careless, unless the Bears signed him, But watching the Solber fest over him at the NFL network, especially When Cowgals got involved was absolutely sickening. Cowboys i think own the TV rights on that channel.

  4. Anybody else think he dont make the team? If Fantuz plays anywhere near what he did in the CFL he would better then the best Williams can give. He is bigger and from all accounts has better hands then Williams, I would not be surprised if Williams gets let go during camp.
  5. He was ST captain for Cowgirls. Definate R Davis replacement.
  6. Webb?????? Your on drugs, For a first year player he did well and being he is natural left tackle is even more amazing, Worst? No way Jason
  7. Score reports Spaeth, Matt 6'7 270 Blocking TE
  8. At the Senior Bowl Carimi played all 3 positions there. They tried him Guard, Tackle and center. He can play them all. As for Bushod Put him on the left Move Williams to back up. and Put Carimi at left guard
  9. Why I dint provide a link, He is camp fodder, Unga will be there. Nuff said.
  10. Thought is he will replace Davis , so no worries. Just hang in there, Smith is alot more versatile then Davis so its good signing.
  11. By Vaughn McClure, Chicago Tribune reporter 10:45 p.m. CDT, July 26, 2011 As of late Tuesday evening, the Bears had yet to agree to terms with free-agent linebacker Justin Durant. But a source close to the player believes the Bears remain in the picture. According to the source, the Bears inquired about Durant, last with the Jaguars, Tuesday morning. The Bears are looking for stability at the starting strong-side linebacker spot next to middle linebacker Brian Urlacher and weak-side linebacker Lance Briggs. Durant has been high on the Lions' radar, too. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Durant started 42 games in four seasons with the Jaguars and has 230 career tackles. He missed some time last season with ankle and groin injuries but had been an effective player http://www.chicagotribune.com/site/newspap...0,6614340.story

  13. The Bears on Tuesday agreed to terms with 26 undrafted free agents. The list is highlighted by Ohio State receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, who was named Buckeyes MVP and first-team All-Big Ten last season when he led the conference in receiving yards (948) and touchdown catches (11). 15. Shoot Mad, I coulda told ya that bro!!
  16. Seems like the NFL players union this board has taken a dump. I know there is not anything to write about, But it seems like everytime I come here nobody is even browsing. Oh well, my 2 cents for the moment.
  17. I found this very refreshing, plus the fact he is now a Bear. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2179677.story
  18. Retail theft? he had to be drunk or high, he made dam good money for what he did. Surprising that the Bears may have forseen this comming. His SP play was pretty good. But Unga spelled his doom on making the roster.
  19. No way would I put J webb inside. He played left tackle in Div2. Carimi played left tackle at Wisconsin and Williams played left tackle at Vandy. Looking at the roster last year. It appeared to me that Webb did some major improvement at the right tackle, He handled Matthews pretty good, So keep him there. Williams seemed to improve some at the guard spot. Give him another year there and see if he can become another Brown type guard. Then last of all put the Carimi in at L tackle. He is tons better then omyiale (sp) And let the other guards duke it out. It should make for a much improved line. But only time will tell.
  20. Recently we have obtained Peppers, Taylor, Manu, I think this was the point Angelo more or less got his act together in picks. He realized that the line on both sides of the ball needed upgrades. Also special teams were in need of new blood along with back up for certain positions, Conti was selected for the appearant loss of Manning. Thomas for ST play as well as range in on the field play and the loss of Hilly. Enderle was replacement for T bone, All in all any skeptic point of view has to realize that this draft for better words were exactly what was needed, Now let the FA begin to fill in the rest.
  21. This kid sounds like a QB, Very good call , http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...clip=Y&rn=8
  22. http://www.cbssports.com/#!/nfl/draft/...es-and-analysis NFC North Chicago Bears: B Despite their well-documented aborted trade with the Baltimore Ravens, the Bears overall did a very nice job in the 2011 draft. The Bears surprisingly found one of the safer offensive tackles still available to them at No. 29 in Wisconsin's Gabe Carimi, the reigning Outland Trophy winner. They also found a squatty strongman to potentially fill the large shoes left by Tommie Harris in former Oregon State Beaver Stephen Paea. Paea's record-breaking 49 reps at 225 pounds at the combine proved his strength, though to be effective as a three-technique he'll need to show better lateral agility and instincts. Free safety Chris Conte (California) was quietly viewed by some as the best developmental prospect of this year's weak safety class. Speaking of developmental prospects, Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle, at 6-4, 240 pounds, has the build and arm strength well worthy of his fifth-round selection. While there is a lot to like about Chicago's draft, the fact the club was unable to add more weapons for Jay Cutler, or improve its depth at cornerback, remains a legitimate concern. Nice!!!!
