  2. Ya know it funny how the hardest hitter of the 60-70's was Butkus and he doesnt seem to have any problems.
  3. Agreed, But to add , He is no trouble type of guy. Very good in Locker room, no issues to speak of. Only reason I say that is a bunch WVU / Marshall players have Law problems.
  4. Word is thier talks about Getting Mcnabb or Kolb in a trade or FA signing. Either will upgrade thier current roster immensely.
  5. Patriots had a very good draft as well. They got huge value out of thier picks, The pukers did well also. IMHO
  6. Not only Peppers, But Url must love it as well, keep them guards off him.

  8. I am a huge WVU fan, This kid is leader not by voice but example, I believe he was the one of the captains of the team, In on a majority of the plays, But seemed to not trust his eyes. Fast, has very good range and really good in pass protect. I see him in on third down and long. Good pick up for the 6th.
  9. Well here is the way I see it, For one a 3rd qb was in the works for this draft because what happened lat season with T bone and his weak ass arm. Second, I have heard that the Bears are working 2 key free agents that will complete thier off season, one is OL other WR. If that is true and completes out, then the Bears off season will be a huge success. As soon as the League gets its CBA done it will be thier next priority to get them here.

    WTF

Bit the question is: Did the bears draft thier immediate needs? Carimi is the best tackle we could have gotten at the position we were in. Paea was the last of the 3 techniques left on the board and just so happened with a great motor and strength uinsurpassed in this class. Conte was labled by many as the 3 rd best safetie this year. With mucho upside because of one year playing tyhe position. Out of all them the 3rd is the only questionable one there. But overall I am elated with this draft.
  11. Afalava is with Colts Payne with Rams Johnson with the Bills All of the above arte still in the NFL so they are not that bad. Just to show a few. Peace out
  12. Bears4ever this why Carimi was taken as well as being the pick they targeted all along. "Some knocked Carimi for his brash nature, but he should fit in nicely with offensive line coach Mike Tice, who knows him well. Tice's son Nate is a reserve quarterback for the Badgers." Chicago trib article
  13. Thats just a person showing how much they truly know. But always quick to call out the Bears without really watching games. Its typical around here.
  14. I was reading that the docs from the Bears were not impressed with his healing, Unlike Garza situation he needs the leg to push off, Bowers is a huge risk for just that, Glad they went with best OL available. Now get a guard or WR.
  15. Mad, I would have to agree with you on the loss of interest. But mine maybe to other reasons, One, I have totaly lost all respect for the players during this issue. Two, I am of the belief that there will be no season this year. So saying that, I guess I am on island as far as that goes, but if proven wrong I will gladly watch again, but my feelings for the players are gonna take sometime to get back in order. It just leaves a real bad taste in my mouth.
  16. I had a good laugh after reading it, the first thing that came to mind was the look on Jerry Jones's face if they did disolve. Like Wildie Coyote loosing the Road runner. LOL I still Chuckle thinjking about that. 1 Billion down the drain.
  17. Nah they dumped collins so need a third. They want Hanie back.
  18. 1. Webb, After watching his games and hear Tice talking about him, I would disagree that Webb has slow feet. From everything said his feet are excellant and warrant a look at left tackle according to Tice. But he was gonna keep him there at Right because it was that side they needed most. His slow moves were accounted to his rookie ways. Next year he will be more solid then this now that Tice is staying. 2. Williams had a bunch to do with the changes at guard. Left guard was Horrible and right guard was just as bad. The left side was due to Garza being moved there at the last minute. The Right guard situation was do to bad play. E Williams was bad and so was Louis. So they moved Garza back left side when Williams returned from injury he proved better at guard then Omiyale. That is why the guard situation was at it was. On the Depth charts currently Omiyale has moved back to Guard and Williams has returned to tackle. It is why one of the reasons I think the Bears will be looking for guard rather then Tackle. 3. Martz wants Lineman to hold a Block longer then 3 seconds. Period. They can be a Moose or light weights. It dont matter to him. Ask Pace on that one. Yes Tice wants solid lineman who can block in RUn as well as pass. I think thats a wish list for most O line coaches in the NFL. And to be honest I think there is no Argument.
  19. Its fine that you disagree, But after being in union and hearing the local leader tell me there was nothing they need , but they will think of something totaly turned my stomach. I can guarnatee you that your wrong about Owners taking advantage of workers in any case nowa days. They are so heavily regulated with OSHA and labor safety regs that there is no way a person can be taken advantage unless they allow it. Law Suits with history backing them up would run wild in the country. Unions are fine I guess for Trades but for anything else its a situation that says, Lets get 50% of whatever the owner takes and then we will ask for more. I was union Before the Army and earning my Rank on Merit and testing rather then longevity and Tenure was much better, Because even in the Army there were slackers, We called em ROAD warriors, Retired on active duty. In the union they are kept No matter what. Proof in our schools. In the Army if you were not promoted with so many years under your belt your out. So we weeded out the sluffs. Unions keep the sluff and pay them more just because of Tenure. YOu tell me where that is good policy please.
  20. Ahh, Ok then thats cool. everytime I see that D Smith on TV I get the feeling he planned this to establish himself with the players just like Geen Upshaws Attempt in 87. Its following the same format and will result in the same end. NFLPA is risking allot with its decert, and I have a feeling with the current atmosphere of Unions the players are gonna be picketed while picketing.
  21. Mongo, that is what they were offered, almost to a Tee. And Players as for your " players deserve" They deserve equal share when they invest or buy a team themselves. Why should a Owner give Half his Profits to players? Here is that idiot telling his players lay it on the line. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81eb...le=HP_headlines
  22. Anyone catch that Idiot D Smith today talking about how player put all on the line? What a Dork. Can this get any worse with Bart simpson running the show for the players.
  23. Owners..... First off, why did they buy a team or invest in a team to begin with? For a Non-Profit orginization? To employ Millionaires? No they did it Making Money. Now saying that, I can not see players who make millions for playing a kids game and game that is played in college for a education wanting to see the books on a Org that employs them so that they can milk as much as they can from a guy (or guys) that made thier millions on the economy of sales. I hate unions. They are a Antiquated system that have outlived thier usefullness. Its communist system in our Republic. For thos that would argue that Players Expectant playing career is 3-4 year, So WHAT!!! What is the Working career of Soldiers or Marines. You pay the ulimate sacrifice in those careers with what? 500,000 life insurance, Loose a leg its around 50 percent of your base pay for life with medical retirement, Oh that comes out for a Private to about 500.00 a month. Big F-n deal, D Smith needs to take trip to Walter Reed to get his attitude straight.
  24. I think the falcons would be a good fit, They are in need of back that catch out of backfield and split out wide.
