  1. His build so reminds me of M Irvin. He has hands there is no doubt about that, but as the Play maker once said if you can catch the tough one you can catch anything thrown to you, its a mind thing. I would agree with that. If he is available in the 2nd round I would take him for sure. Then the first could go for corner or (cringe) OL
  2. Randy Moss played Played at marshall U dude. The Thundeing Herd played thier archrivals in Confrense USA and some out of Confrence like Marshall's biggest rivalries out of conference are with Ohio University, Miami University and West Virginia University, while East Carolina University and University of Central Florida have been the biggest rivals in Conference USA so far. So lets talk about Moss's Competition, He had None when playing at Marshall. Fitzgerald Faced much more Competition the Moss did in College. So lets get that straight. As for Fitzgerald his College career made him the 3rd pick of the draft, Why you may ask? His play in the competition he faced warranted that selection. He also had the Benefit of having a descent college QB in Rutherford. Where Baldwin had a rotation of QB's and the Trial he had where false charges were levied against him was heavy on his mind, But he still played through it. So you can not compare Moss's College with Fitzgerald or Baldwin. With the Lack of QB and Wanny coaching the team, it looked like running the ball was the only thing they did. Actually I say the interior line is more a need then the Tackle. Williams played pretty good when he had cohesive line play at Tackle. Puttin him at guard was just to get the 5 best players out there. As for the articles I read, Williams will be at tackle next year. So when it comes to draft you dont take guard in the first, Thats why I went skill player in the first. Also to make things clear I do not know him personaly (Bladwin), I just been following him in the news and what Mocks are saying about him. His Attitude problems I think stem form the false accusation put against him. I know it would it would put a sour taste in my mouth for sure. Its fine that you hate it, Couuld care less, But you better be prepared to be disapointed, Because the more I hear the more I think it will be reciever, or a corner.
  3. To say he reminds you Emmitt Smith and were not impressed with him, says everything I need to know about your Viewing of Games. Especially after watching Mr Smiths HOF induction. To keep on the thread. Robert Sands DB WV. Called "The Predator" No feet at all. Long 6'4" Not much of ball hawk, but he does take good angles to light people up. Just dont think he would fit.
  4. Well well, Why am I not surprised at your hate of the draft Jason. I love the first pick. Must be nice to be knowledgeable about players. sigh
  5. Webb did a real nice job for the season and looks to be solid in that position. For a rookie he did what was expected. As for Omiyale he to is right tackle playing out of position. He will be swing tackle after this draft FA season.
  6. Body catch? watch his Backyard brawl video. Or better yet watch his Highlight vid, one handed catches. As for Attitude you have to read into it I read the articles that claimed he Character problems, It seemed more biased then factual. Ill take in the middle. So he is more like Jackson or Smith as attitude goes. Diva type. But as far practice and staying outa the law. He is solid.
  7. I see your cynical point regardless. To think Lovie made those moves with a gun to his head is little to much though. And to think he has no say in his staff is even more so. When he fired Turner and Harry Heistand Butkus and London were not renewed and thier contracts ran out. but no need to resign with them going after TIce and Martz. Turner brought a boat load fop coaches with him so many had to be replaced and some were not. like Offensive assistant position Luke Butkus held no longer exists. And Yes I get what your saying about the past b ut it does not have to be repeated. you learn from it, not live by it.
  8. Mad I totaly get your point, however lets look at the changes Lovie made to increase teaching on his staff. Martz was classified as a teacher of QB's and a very good one. Marenelli is claimed to be the best DL teacher in football, Tice is claimed to be the one of the best line coaches in all football. Babich was already on the staff and is claimed to be a great LB coach. So saying that how could you even think your concerns were not shared by Lovie Smith and he changed to help in that area. Heck they even stopped Tice from moving on . I just feel all the past needs to be dumped in this situation. It is the 2nd year for this staff, Lets see how the newbs and 2nd year players respond to this system. This year should be looked at with fresh eyes, instead of the stale ones most here look through. JMHO
  9. Totaly agree Alaska, after 23 years in the Army I to responded to leaders that were calmer then my drill was. But I did respond well to my Drill , so much so I went the difficult route of Special ops. But after being in that enviroment, it seemed that leadership had a more firm but soft form. Best decribed in my early leadeship classes as WARM PRICKLYS. Being firm but freindly. I think I would have responded better to Ditka early on, But Lovie later on. Does that make sense??
  10. Totaly agree Defiant, You said what I was thinking, Lets move on from DA and look forward to guys like JB or LL or whatever.
  11. Well mister Gm have you seen Baldwin play? I did and end zone is not his only talent. He goes over the middle and is one helluva blocker. DA got his chance in Practice to prove he can do what Martz asked of him. It was reported he wa was not a willing blocker and hesitant to go over middle without short arming it. It was proven this year with T Harris benching , if you dont show it in practice you dont play. Harris was a former Pro bowler, so should DA get off the same treatment? Your really limiting baldwins ability, Watch tape on the kid, There is a whole lot more to him then you give em credit for. But I doubt seriously there will be the same talent in the later round of the first as well as the second. Thats why I structured it that way. Now with Harris released dont doubt that JA drafts a DL with them being even deeper then the OL. Look it time to put drafts the way we see them going, its not a time to act like you know it all and try challenge everyone that dont think like you. Just take chill pill and enjoy the process, if Iam right then yeah ILll ask to eat your crow pie, And you will hear me whooping it up all the way from Arizona for the pick. Not because they took my guy, but because I was right. LOL But its all in fun. And doing mocks is fun. Its why we all do em.
  12. Well I for one had to live through the Abe Gibron era and before. I was 17 when he was coaching and what a display this cat put on. Bad coaches are aplenty in the NFL, having a coach that is beloved as Smith is with his players and will lay it all out for him the way they do says a bunch to me. Peppers was asked how was his year last year? His response says allot. MY most fun year I had , Learned so much this year it was absolutely a blast. (paraphrased) That tells me a whole bunch. To think Players would win inspite of thier coach is kind of dim outlook on the Bears in general. I would hate to see what it would be like next year if Cowher took over. Just the changes in personel to get a 3-4 is rediculous after spending the money on Peppers. Marinelli would be let go. which means Peppers will be very unhappy not including Url. Its just way to much to keep a winning season so he will be loved. and Cowher without a GM backing him would a bigger looser then Wanny ever was.
  13. Oh its garbage? And yours is Gold right? Common dude just cuz we see things differently dont mean its garbage. More like different view. DA had his chance , HE DOES NOT BLOCK OR RUN OVER THE MIDDLE. Thats why Martz did not use him. Get someone who does that with same height and better hands. Regardless weather you agree or not your view is garbage to me as well, OL is deep, deep, DEEP this draft. Meaning that talent differences are not that much different in the late first round to early 3 round. Position in the draft means alot as well. We will not get a premier Tackle in the late first. That is my beleif. We can get a nasty OL throughout the second and third.
  14. Whatever, Keep the hating JA club going Iam sure you will have plenty of members. Poor drafting? Ok there have some players not panning out. Lets see what happens with this new coaching and back office staff and see what they do. But I still dont see how you look at this team and feel its rebuilding required. But I should, Growning up in the Chicago area its pretty typical for Chicago fans to dump on thier team no matter the year they had. Only team from chicago that dont get that treatment is the Cubs. But it always the public knowing better then the coaches or GM.
  15. He was 3rd round on some of the mocks I saw but his display with the weights you can be sure Al Davis will take him in the first.
  16. Still Dont see it Lucky, If I was as concerned as you I would quit watching. Rebuilding Is needed when there is no talent. Building is needed when you have talent and want to add pieces for depth as well improvements for the team. Get over it please and lets mo0ve on and hope there is a next season.
  17. 1.) Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh - Scouting Report Height: 6-5. Weight: 225. Projected 40 Time: 4.50. With Da out the Door a tall sure handed wr is required. Baldwin fits that roll perfectly. Big, a Jumper and reminds many of Brandon marshall type. 2.) Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU - Scouting Report Height: 6-5. Weight: 335. Projected 40 Time: 5.25 Barksdale wont last till the 3rd round He is Big Strong and mean. Said to have descent feet and would immediately upgrade the line. Can play both tackle positions. 3.) Clint Boling, G, Georgia Height: 6-5. Weight: 310. Projected 40 Time: 5.09. Nasty inside lineman, Immediate starter. Can play any inside postion. Would replace Garza or Williams and then take Center after Olin retires If needed. 4.) Ian Williams, NT, Notre Dame Height: 6-2. Weight: 311. Projected 40 Time: 5.11. High motor, Much in the A Adams roll. But will be filling the 3. Better in pass rush then T harris. Bears can dump that contract with this kid. 5.) Devon Torrence, CB, Ohio State Height: 6-1. Weight: 193. Projected 40 Time: 4.46. Big Corner, Can play Man and cover 2 technique. Good size and above average speed on the field. Plays faster then he truly is. 6.) Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama Height: 6-2. Weight: 222. Projected 40 Time: 4.94. Has all the intangibles you look for in a QB, Good charcter guy and soaks up coaching like a sponge. Development type for sure. Would make a Longterm solution to the number 3 on the roster. 7.) Michael Morgan, OLB, USC Height: 6-4. Weight: 220. Projected 40 Time: 4.58. Speacial teams guy. High motor. Can stand to put a few pounds on, Has the frame carry it. Very good footabll mind. and will lay it all on the field. I know WR in the first. But the truth is this draft is so deep in quaity lineman why not grab a very good reciever out of the box. Plenty in the second to get. I posted this before with allot of critisim. But Ill stick to it knowing we need a bunch on the offensive side of the ball.
  18. Then route for the Vikings, with all thier wisdom. Good signing for 2 years its long enough to determine if things are truly getting better,
  19. Much rather have him teaching our other hard hitter Wright how to play. With Sanders and Harris in his ear it should have nothing but a positive effect on wright. then we could dump Manning, could make for a real good deal.
  20. I totaly agree, However the move to extend him was a grat move. Hopefull that the draft brings in some mooses that can get coached up to keep Cutler upright. With another year I hope to see the sacks cut in half.
  21. Yep Like I said, Rather have a OT or guard.
  22. Pretty funny, I searched and nothing outa the NFL or Titans about this I think the Trib started this its being picked up by other news. Here is link from the Music city miracle http://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2011/2/13...ive-coordinator
  23. Sorry reason I said rather have OT or guard was because of this, I heard all kinds a rumblings outa clevland about this situation. Detroit was saying the same thing. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81e4...le=HP_headlines
