  1. Pouncey will not be there when the Bears pick, If he is, it would be a miracle.
  2. Did NY terminate his contract? Just asking.
  3. Rather have a OT and guard then another D lineman.
  4. Sorry man,. but to think that coach will call out a player to the media is ludacris. It will be evident by the draft and FA. This staff will never say anything to the media or any source that is negative about a player. Look how they handled Tommy harris. Big news all around but Lovie would only say Adams and Toe play warranted them a chance.
  5. WR is looking more and more what will go in the first, With OT's being able to grabed in the 2nd, that skill position of WR is most likely he will go. they are pretty heavy in this years draft. As for McElory, his skills are leadership and game management. As a 3rd stringer he can sit and be groomed. To tell the truth I stuck him in for sh-ts and giggles. Why would WR not pan out? Please explain.
  6. Ok here is mine 1.) Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh - Scouting Report Height: 6-5. Weight: 225. Projected 40 Time: 4.50. 2.) Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU - Scouting Report Height: 6-5. Weight: 335. Projected 40 Time: 5.25 3.) Clint Boling, G, Georgia Height: 6-5. Weight: 310. Projected 40 Time: 5.09. 4.) Ian Williams, NT, Notre Dame Height: 6-2. Weight: 311. Projected 40 Time: 5.11. 5.) Devon Torrence, CB, Ohio State Height: 6-1. Weight: 193. Projected 40 Time: 4.46. 6.) Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama Height: 6-2. Weight: 222. Projected 40 Time: 4.94. 7.) Michael Morgan, OLB, USC Height: 6-4. Weight: 220. Projected 40 Time: 4.58. If anything simular to this gets done I would be elated.
  7. Like this guy alot, seen him play in the backyard bowl, Huge player and physical Jonathan Baldwin, 6-5/225 Wide Receiver Pittsburgh Jonathan Baldwin Scouting Report By Matt McGuire Strengths: Prototypical size and length Focuses and doesn't drop many passes Great body control and athleticism Knows how to use frame and shield corners Attacks ball at its apex Terrific hands and plucks the football Reliable and consistent Red zone terror Physical runner; doesn't go down easy Fearless over the middle Gets a lot of Y.A.C. Nice hand-eye coordination Shows awareness as a receiver Long strider No. 1 receiver potential at next level Elite catch radius Good run blocker would not mind a 1st being spent on this guy, but I still think a OT needs to be taken.
  8. JA even admitted that fact in article I read , so he is out of that buisness all together. Look for JA to go just draft his year with total FA signings. He will not trade for anything for at least 2 years. He felt he got burned on Gaines Adams ( RIP) and loosing 2X1st rounders on Cutler did sting in the depth department. Also with the CBA. I think the worst move to the players was hiring a total lawyer to lead the union. I dont see goodell caving at all. That clip they keep showing of them two talking in the hall looks like Goodell had enough and was gonna walk out on him. THe Owners want salary structure and the players want high dollar draft and the big bucks at the end. I dont see it happening for the players so I see walk out. May not be long but it will be.
  9. B thru D you can Keep. Cowher is only one i see that may fit, but I doubt he will be available by the time Lovies contract is up. I can run up and down that list with reasons not to hire them. Cowher is only one.
  10. outside of Cowher , who else would you want as coach? Fisher has a less record then Lovie does in the same period of time. Both lost superbowls. So Mad with all that said who would you want? Or better yet who would be available to take helm.
  11. Yeah I noticed after it was for the playoffs what I posted, Sorry bought that. As for records though it evident that Fisher is not all that and bag of chips. Lovie still had 4 winning seasons in 7 years Fisher is not answer and Iam morte then comfortable with Smith and the current staff with season under thier belt.
  12. First off, for all you to discount Martz and Lovie so quickly, Lets look at the facts. Bears offense was rated #1 in Rushing, #6 in Passing, and #3 in total offense. That was without a true Number 1 reciever or Line that could not keep Cutler up right. Lovie's record is 54-46 including the playoffs with 4 wining seasons in 7 years. Fisher record 142-120 in 17 years with 6 winning seasons. Lovie will surpass that winning season mark for sure if stays head coach in Chicago. Everyone including media dont like Lovie because of his personality is way to mellow for a chicago team. Granted there are decsions that can be questioned, But overall he has done a good job with the Bears. His players love him and want to play for him and Peppers went so far to say as it was his best season, most fun season in his career. That tells me alot. Changing a coach means rebuilding years, new D's and New O's. Martz and Lovie have done a good this season with the O. So much so they are in the top in the NFL in most categories. The D under Marinelli has played thier ass off for the most part, comming in at a very respectable #6 in total D. I find it odd that most would not want to extend Lovie's contract. Another year in the O of Martz with upgrades in key areas mentioned here could put us number 1 in O. I guess what I am saying is, Why be so quick to turn things inside out and then wait again for another 3 to 4 years to get things moving when we already on the way there.
  13. ATL L Very good O, But thier D is suspect. Could be very close CAR W Rebuilding year , new coach, Definate win SEA W Carrol gets his hat handed to him here, Bears Never forget. KC W Bears can stop run, this game will go down to the wire SD W SD will have FA losses that will effect this year, Think the Bears walk away with Win DET W Still Detroit GB L Bears win Home game, GB wins at Home MIN W Will Jackson really be thier QB? Either way we have thier Number NO W Decling Roster means Bears walk away with this one TB L Up and Comming QB with running game tight game but Bear lose in close one PHI L Vick gets his revenge DEN W Tebow is not the answer OAK W This game is going to tell a tale of how good our D will be in the playoffs, Scary big time, Could be a loss DET W Read above GB W Read above MIN W Read above
  14. Great article. Nice read,.... Thanks mad for posting.
  15. I think its because this is a "what have ya done for me lately" league. Why dwell on the past seasons, last year with Url out The Bears could not stop a snail. His return helped Briggs and the safeties. By last years account in this draft I remember quite a few here wanting a dynamic safetie, They end up with Harris and look at the improvement. Now with Stelz healthy and Harris back there its no longer dynamic need. All Iam saying the year after the superbowl we found out how bad Grossman was. Orton was servicable but nothing really superior. But I believe that JA was in rebuilding mode after that superbowl. Ron Turner showed he could not call NFL plays anymore so they dump him. There have been so many moves these past 3 years it truly mind boggling. Picking up Cutler, Peppers and Harris was Brilliant. Now with talent on the roster and a full draft to help out lets see how they do. But for the most part I can only blame and Credit JA for what has happened. To his credit we ended up with very good nucleous. Lets see how the draft goes and sign lovie after the draft. I think after the draft/Free agency we can all determine what outcome will be.
  16. I know why i said it but after rereading it I see the confusion.
  17. I got it off the trib site, so if you want to bitch tell them.
  18. Unrestricted free agents for 2011: C Olin Kreutz DT Anthony Adams SS Danieal Manning SLB Pisa Tinoisamoa LB Nick Roach CB Corey Graham P Brad Maynard TE Desmond Clark LB Brian Iwuh WR Rashied Davis RB Garrett Wolfe LB Rod Wilson S Josh Bullocks QB Todd Collins Restricted free agents for 2011: QB Caleb Hanie WR Devin Aromashodu
  19. Look , to assume that Lovie did not want Martz or Tice is assuming he has an ego the size of Joe Theisman. I can guarantee you that he has no ego like that at all. His extension can be done this year because it dont cost against the CAP so get it done and all the assistants this year. Tice and Martz will do nothing but improve this team. Cutler with another season under Martz will be huge for the QB and his development. This O has seen a Huge increase in screen plays (which we all wanted), Propensity for the long ball (which we all wanted.) It will also stableize Cutlers descision making. I excpect while under duress at the begining of the seaon Cutler had no clue of a bunch reads to be made. Later on you seen a improvement. The entire staff needs to return. Extend em all for 3 years.
  20. He is playing both actually, I watched today and Moffett and Carimi were on the left side with Carimi at tackle. They commented today that the line staff of the Bengals was teaching the line versatility by playing them at serval line positions.
  21. Announced on the NFL network update today
