To me I wonder how much our current players that apparently need to be replaced with FA's really suck and how much of it was they weren't schemed properly or coached up. Odd the teams like the Lions could lose guy after guy and still be productive. It'll be difficult for the new staff to know these things because film only tells part of the story. Poles will know, somewhat, but I'll be watching to see what the do given this side of the topic.

If Poles focuses on OL and this coaching staff is as good as it looks on paper, his job was secure for the long haul anyway. It's undeniable he's brought talent to this roster after being handed a shit sandwich. He's made mistakes too but are they out of line with any other GM in the league? I think not. It's always thought to be good to align your HC and GM so I'm for them getting this done. Now, they've got to prove it.

I like the DC hire a lot. See the OC hire as a guy who can run practice for Johnson and grow into the role. As such I don’t hate it but was hoping for more experience. The dude is 28!

I prefer occasionally getting burned by aggressiveness than being just safe enough to lose the game.

100% agree with you guys on rumors being just that. And today I see he may be coming. Who knows. I don’t want him calling plays, at least not right away. His real value would be helping design the offense with excellent blocking schemes. Don’t care if he goes elsewhere if he really wants play calling responsibilities.

I’m reading that Fraley is not coming to the Bears as OC.

Wanny was the most sought out coach in that era and he was mediocre for four seasons and then sucked donkey balls for two more. I’m excited about Ben too, don’t get me wrong. But the proof is in the pudding. Let’s get him some beef on the lines and let’s see what he can do!!!

Guys, I’m not sure where to even start. But before the season I think most of us thought Poles had this thing heading in the right direction. And yes we were questioning the offensive line and after taking so many hits there what was questionable became a weak link. The record at the beginning of the season was always a mirage. And the wheels came off due mostly to us facing better teams but also due to horrendous coaching. Just hiring a new coaching staff and repeating the cycle again doesn’t seem to be the answer to me. That said, I’m lost as to where we go from here. I really can’t even watch the games at this point. And Caleb is THIS CLOSE to being the latest sacrificial lamb on the Bears QB alter. I still believe Poles brought a great deal of talent to our rosters but there have also been several mistakes. And leaving the coaching staff in place for this season was a huge mistake. Hindsight is 20 20. I don’t believe he made that decision in a vacuum and the rot starts at the top of the organization. More great draft picks this year and a new coaching staff, is that really all we have to look forward to? I’ve done that now for 20+ years, every 3, 4 or 5 years. Nothing changes! Talk me off the ledge guys. Please.

Lose to the 3 win Patriots in embarrassing fashion. Lose on a last second Hail Mary against the Commanders. Lose three winnable games in a row against division opponents. And last season was more of the same. Losing winnable games. We need a coach who wins those and steals a win here or there in games that they’re outmatched but get lucky anyway. This team has talent. Use this draft to build the Offensive Line and fill holes. They need better leadership. I’m disappointed the clowns who own my favorite team continue to fail us but MAYBE they’ll get it right this time. Firing Eberflus was a step in the right direction. Probably a year late but WTF I’m only 60 so maybe they’ll get it done before I die….
