So how is it this same team can look stellar when playing on the road and near garbage when at home? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?
-
Maybe it wasn't the long snappers fault after all?
-
SWEET WILLIE with two sacks! Both against former 1st round pick multiple Pro Bowl player Joe Staley!!!
-
I have a bad feeling we're not seeing Forte back next year.
-
Big screw up on the refs not calling that Cutler slam.
-
You know it's pointless for you to point things like this out right? It's always another player's fault when Jay throws these. This was one part Cutler needing to do a better job of selling the play and one part the defender making a good play. If you recall a few weeks back where Jay threw a similar 'pick six' to Verrett (who jumped that play) when playing the Chargers. Generally speaking when a defender jumps a route it's a combo of seeing and recognizing a play from film or experience and/or the QB not doing a good job of diverting away from the play. Experience shows Jay has a tendency to lock on players to include during the play set up, which easily could have happened here. And before Jason pees himself I will say Jay has played overall pretty well today. So far...

Per PFT, we'll have $60 in cap space next season

That's what I get for jumping your s#*t. Haha.. I originally thought it was Caddyshack but then thought Stripes (or you were a "Chiver"). Hell all of these are from the early 80's and I still feel old. -

At first I thought; 'wow only $60 next year'? then I considered Lauvilin was to blame. ? And Ghostbusters was from '85? Holy smokes I feel old. -
I was kinda more pulling your chain than anything. In fact when I watched the video, I couldn't help but think of how in NFL Madden you would find players given certain numerical player ratings. Similar to how Bryant was illustrating in his video. Yet if facing a higher rated player during a game, and with the right 'X' 'Y' buttons and a properly timed 'truck' move my 65 rated RB could outmaneuver their 85 rated LB. Similar analogy no? That's how I started to reminisce about Madden.

Your being reminded, reminded me of the great orator John Madden and how he discussed effort, "loads", biscuits and other fun Maddenisms.

Packers bailed out once again by the officials
Alaskan Grizzly replied to ParkerBear7's topic in Bearstalk
Yeah pretty sad way to end the game. By watching this though GB to me is on the downside to their success. IF they make the playoffs, they won't last long. Like I said before; GB and Coach McCarthy better start getting used to losing to the Bears. -

Well actually I'd say considering both Osweiller and Hasselbeck are backup QBs and so far are undefeated, an argument could be made they both had to overcome quite a bit to get where they are.

First, I too hope your post doesn't jinx him. And yes he's improved. Why is that? Maturity? Offense play calling? All combined? Probably. The Packer win was a big monkey off his back. I'm still hoping for the sustained and continued improvement. So far the graph is going up.

Aside from Long (who actually was picked as a Guard) the line is devoid of 1st round talent as you insist it MUST be. I don't know that Cutlers improvement is based on OL play but more the play calling of Gase and actually tailoring more to his (Cutlers) strengths. I'd agree with a lot what TD wrote.

Me too brother! From first to last in one year. Too many post championship parades and parties.
-
Another reason to appreciate the class act that is Fox. We all know that not only NFL wide has the officiating been bad but the Bears have been on the bad side of officiating many a times this year. How many times have we heard of Fox complain? Zilch... Get used to losing to the Bears Mike.

Great win! And pretty nice game by Mr Cutler. Good job Jay!
-
Say what you will about Favre but gotta say seeing he and Starr meet on the field was pretty cool.
-
I'm liking this Bryce Callahan. Lots of hidden gems on this team and what's more, a lot of them are rookies or second year players.
-
Was just going to say that. Good job Jay! And I might add Mariani doesn't look too shabby out there on O. As does Miller.
-
One concern I have with Miller is his durability. So far so good. Keep it up Zach. I think Bushrod has been active the last few games but me thinks Leno is doing well enough they don't need him. Probably safe to say we won't see him back next year. And anothe thought on Mariani at slot. I believe that was the intent for Royal but perhaps Mariani should be the one instead(?) Watching the tail end of the Dallas game and watching Beasly score a TD makes me think Mariani should be the one. He's pretty good at those short crossing routes and returns kicks like Beasly. Well at least they line him (Mariani) up to return kicks.
-
Good luck with your uncle. I'm a tad concerned that Bennetts not playing as he's a large body target who blocks well. Cutler likes him for bail out situations. But Miller is a solid (or coming on) player that can give the Pack fits. I suspect hell draw extra attention with Martellus out from bit sides of the ball. Jay is due for a win against these pricks so let's do this! Happy T-day board. (sorry Mad wasn't able to get my Lauvelian but I'll toast my ass off with 151 and Coke... Then talk trash to Jason later).

Agreed on all counts. And what's more and if I get my s#*t together I'll be nursing a bottle of Laughvalin while watching the game.
