  1. I get what you’re saying. I can see the critical side of Justin’s ability. I understand he has missed open receivers from time to time. But I also see a lot of the other “successful” QBs do it too. And those other guys have a better supporting cast (Oline, receivers, OC or HC) but Justin (in my mind) has overcome a lot of that adversity. (And to some level so has Flus). Nevertheless, I think Justin is smart enough to not only hear the noise of what you’re talking about but also to concentrate on focusing on what his weaknesses are and improving on them. Like Trubiksy he has the ‘good guy’ aura about him but on top of that he has the success background in HS and college that tells you he knows how to win and will do it given the chance. When you add in the “Houdini” like abilities of evading a sack like we saw a few times today, everyone starts chanting “we want Justin” in the stands. This guy is a keeper (IMHO) mostly because he’s the type of guy that you build around to make better. This post brought to you courtesy of Barrell Vantage Whiskey. ? Happy New Years you filthy animals. ???
  2. Which will be Chicago. ?? But a lot of why he succeeded today was that Getsy called a few designed roll-outs, play action and run plays which are what he (Fields) needs to succeed. That and his Oline gave him a high percentage of clean pockets also contributed to his success. M
  3. “If only”… that game against Denver was another near miss. To consider what this team’s overcome this season: - early concerns about Nate Davis (distraction) - Resignation of Alan Williams (huge distraction) - firing of the other staff member - starting the season 0-4 - injury of Fields early mid-season. And then to do what you highlighted? Pretty incredible for both Flus and Justin. Hard to think all or most of the current team and staff won’t be back.
  4. If I had to guess Kmet will be good to go. Last game against GB and a local kid? Almost no question. Johnsons injury looked like a stinger. I’d say he’s back next week too but maybe more sparingly. With Stevenson and Smith playing well, not as much a concern. Dj Moore going into the tent a little concern. But also a stinger type injury I’d guess. if I had to guess, we’ll be at nearly full strength next week for end of season against GB. All hands on deck.
  5. I’ll also add this. Having Santos locked up for a few years is a good feeling.
  6. Gonna call it right now, when the Bears select MHJ in the draft this team is gonna be hella scary.
  7. The fact Terrell Smith and especially Stevenson are playing as well as they are says a lot about Poles and Flus.
  8. Coach Cowher stated during halftime the Bears would be 5-1 in last six games if they won today. He was off by one game but still they’d be 4-1 in last five games if they win. Not bad.
  9. Still not sure why we haven’t seen more of Feeney. Sure his snaps needed some work but he’s much better at the point of attack.
  10. That play to Johnson was a broken play I believe. Justin took a high snap and looked to the RB to pitch and wasn’t looking back for it.
  11. Yeah in the same game no less. Heinikce asks for the call and several mins later gets the call. Justin gets whacked in the head while starting his slide and…nothing.
  12. Starting to look like the Tonyan that played with Rodgers in GB. Those soft middle zone receptions I’ve seen I’ve expected to see Kmet and nope…been Tonyan and Moore so far.
  13. That was one of the most beautiful four man rushes I’ve seen in awhile. All four contributed on that sack.
  14. 2-0 for Bears drives. 0-2 for Koo. Did I mention it has a nice ring to it?
  15. Dimes be droppin. https://x.com/dave_bfr/status/1741528685297959034?s=46&t=KrpJmhSTc4DI1sACtjisOQ
  16. ‘Koo 0-2’ has a nice ring to it. He’s Parkey snakebitten today.
