  1. My favorite toolbag of analyst, Mike Mayock, had all three in the top 5 that year for the draft: http://nflfootballnow.com/2011/04/12/mike-...tion-nfl-draft/ Of course that could be more conviction of the draft class than anything. But then again this years draft class sounds a little familar(?)
  2. Way to go in with an open mind! Sheesh... Not sure how you're convinced how anyone else could suck worse. What exactly did he get for us? Zilch. Oh yeah I forgot, strong mediocrity. If this is finally a way to get something in return for him then good. Finally he will have proven his worth. There are still a few young former early rounders available in Locker, Gabbert of Ponder that might be worth taking a flyer on, if not just for camp bodies. If Fox can go to the Super Bowl with the likes of Delhomme then he probably knows what he is doing.
  3. Wilhoite isn't as expendable now(?)
  4. That was very un-Terra of you. But you're right. Anyone just about over Cutler ... Except maybe Shaun Hill, or even Kaepernick.
  5. Makes no sense. Terra... What say you? ?
  6. If you're concerned about RB at least we still have a good one in Forte (for now). But D Murray will be available soon should the need arise. Lol. Besides that a whole lot will shake loose between now and Tuesday and probably right after. But I'm with whomever said that Safety or CB is where we should be concentrating on FA. Maybe even WR.
  7. All for naught, looks like he'll be signing with the Chargers. *edit: oops wrong Raven, it was Jacoby Jones going to SD.
  8. Ah. Apparently MadLith knew what it was so I can't use the generation gap. Perhaps it's because I'm in another country (Alaska) it's a cultural gap? The military taught me many years ago when I was learning to become an instructor to always explain your acronyms. Because you never know your audience. Funny because they (military) are one of the worst offenders of overuse of acronyms. I digress. About the FO. I wouldn't say "doubt" just cautious. I don't want to find us in a FUBAR situation. Or as good Ol Georgie Bush used to say: "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
  9. Ah... I get it now. Thanks for explaining. (where's the drooling emoticon?) I actually don't love checkers. Don't care for either in fact. I'm more a Tic-Tac-Toe type of guy. Sure I'm not intimate to the goings on behind the scene but man you better believe if this blows up in our collective faces, I'll be one of the first to point it out. And before you or anyone says otherwise, NO I DO NOT HOPE THEY FAIL.
  10. Yep. I've never doubted Terra's allegiance. Although I wonder if there isn't something about the possibility of him being a Packer troll. Hmmm.... That would be interesting. He doesn't strike me as that devious. Just, like you said; raw, emotional and un-filtered.
  11. I need to get home and get sauced to do this. And to comprehend your writing..... or should I challenge you to checkers?
  12. And just the other day we had "anonymous players" (currently on the team) say they don't see us winning with Cutler and don't' want him on the team. Yet it was Taboo. But now...not so much.
  13. Right and so far all the re-signings have been 2nd and 3rd tier players; Al Louis, Lattimore, Hurst and Clausen. I get it, sorta. Only thing to me that is the glue in this is Fox. FA period starting next week will be interesting to watch. He'll officially be on the clock from then on out.
  14. As much as it pains me, I agree with this. Been focusing on a top flier defensive player this whole time but an up and comer rookie WR would be even better...if it worked out. Ala Jefferey.
  15. Oh no not more of those "anonymous sources" type of stories!!!!
  16. Using 30 as the benchmark and going back a little on recent history of other productive receivers: Jerry Rice: Turned 30 in 1992 and still played another 7 for SF before moving on to Oakland and Seattle. Had a "career year" in 1995 at age 33. Made the Pro Bowl in 93, 94, 95 and 96 (all after being 30) Randy Moss: Turned 30 in 2007. The same year he signed with NE. We know how that ended up. Made the Pro bowl in 07 and 09 Tim Brown: Turned 30 in 1996. Made the Pro Bowl in 96, 97, 99 and 2001. Obviously Brandon isn't exactly this caliber but darn it sure is hard to see him go, even at 30 or 31.
  17. Wow Terra has a fan club!!!
  18. I'm not one to overact usually, unless I'm sauced and either Jason or Stinger push the right buttons, but on face value I don't like it. I think the one thing that makes me feel ok with it is that Fox is involved. If it was a rookie coach AND Pace making these moves I'd really be p'oed. I like Pace so far, but I'm wary.
  19. Wont he need a tow truck to get it there? Or at least something to remove it from the impound lot? This article speaks volumes of the 'younger' more brash Lance. Besides the crash, he was late for training camp and pissed about the Franchise Tag. Ahhh...those were the days!!! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d801e...onecar-accident
  20. So the idea is to tear down the only half functioning part of the team while essentially re-building the D which was not functioning at all for the last 1 1/2 years? Wow if this silliness continues we could be seeing us in fourth place of the NFC North for a few years.
  21. Me too. Maybe that's why the Jets jumped so quick? But like I asked in another thread, would the idea of bringing someone like Wayne over for a year or two be totally out of the question? He fits into that good character that the new regime is talking about.
  22. Hey Terra, do you have a ghost writer? LOL. But you're right, not a real smart move....maybe. I have faith only because Fox is proven to do good things wherever he goes. If this was Emery making these moves then my allegiance would be questioned.
  23. ??? I thought that was Lyndsey Petruny? (Or however you spell it).
