  1. It’s a good question. With non-mobile QBs it’s key to keep the rush on and slowly chip away at their confidence of pocket protection. Like we saw with Goff and Flacco (and all their sacks and TOs). But with a player like Murray it’s more of keeping him hemmed in and forcing him to focus on the middle of the field. And they have a semi-effective offensive coordinator who knows how to make adjustments.??‍♂️
  2. Tastes a bit like Bud Light or Coors Light. My son-in-law things it has a bit more “wheaty taste” to it. Overall it’s good and light. I’ve found as I get older I have more issues drinking the hoppier stuff.
  3. Meh. We’re here for Bears and trash talking ?? At least I am This post brought to you courtesy of Firestone Walker 805 beer. ?
  4. So far Williams (USC) has shown he’s challenged against better teams ans especially those who are ranked. How will that translate to the NFL? Probably not well.
  5. I’d be curious to see stats on how players like Lamar, Mahomes and even Hurts do as “traditional (pocket passing) QBs versus their own version of “hero QBIng”. I saw a graphic the other day where had it not been for the “tush push” and the number of TDs it has generated for Hurts he’d essentially be Fields. We have seen what happens when Mahomes hasn’t had good receivers this year. And when his starting line isn’t available when he literally ran for his life during the SB he lost a few years ago.
  6. If he throws four TDs regardless from the pocket, rolling out or scrambling that’s generally called ‘winning football’.
  7. Fields and Lawrence are sorta trending similarly. Fields peaked about 15 games ago (which was higher than Lawrence at that point) and looks to have dropped the beginning of this season (plus lost four games to injury). The data shows Lawrence has 14 games on Justin and I would agree if he (Justin) wins out he be trending the same as Trevor.
  8. Curious to see if they had a collegiate version of this. And how it translates from one to the other.
  9. Curious where you found this graph? And can you plug any QB into it?
  10. And if I get out of line my disclaimer is that my post was brought courtesy of whatever Whiskey I’m drinking. Which because I’m on vacation, I’m drinking my share. ?
  11. Ah cmon man. Was just trying to offer some playful counter points. Obviously there are passionate pro Justin and not Justin camps that can make their points logically and otherwise. Until the decision is made this is how it’ll go. No harm no foul. This post brought to you courtesy of Legado Whiskey. ?
  12. “So you’re saying there’s a chance?” So then because Justin was a 1st round pick and picked at the 11th spot he could be good because 81% do? ??‍♂️
  13. As a friend of mine recently said, the ‘math ain’t mathin’ especially if you dive into some of the stats rather than just taking the raw numbers. (And by the way I thought the 75% thing was a Harvard study, not an Adam thing). Anyhow… If we look at just the current starting QBs I counted 17 maybe 18 starting QBs were 1st rounders. Thats closer to 50%. Of those a few are retreads like Goff (2nd team), Stafford (2nd team), Mayfield (3rd or 4th(?) team), Trubisky (temp starter? - 2nd team) and Winston although not a starter on his 2nd or 3rd team . A couple other 1st rounders were still waiting to see how they pan out; Herbert, Allen, Watson, Daniel and Mac Jones and Zach Wilson among them. These guys still leave a lot to be desired as in becoming “elite” and being picked first in gym class.
  14. I certainly would not say that. But I would say less skilled and/or qualified QBs have “won” SBs. Being “elite” doesn’t guarantee it. In his prime, how many SBs has Rodgers won? And of the current “elite” QBs they all have flaws. Turned out Herbert currently leads all QBs in batted down passes, Josh Allen and Hurts lead NFL QBs in fumbles, Hurts also is near the top of the league in getting sacked (oddly because he plays a lot like Justin). Wonder what the difference is in their respective teams’ success? ?
  15. I had actually thought the same thing last week. Imagine the trade value for Justin if that were to happen?! ??
  16. Well said PB! Welcome back to the fray. Good to “see” you again.
  17. Mods…we need an intervention. This post brought to you courtesy of Angels Envy. ?
  18. This I could co-sign on. Although I’m thinking players like Penix or McCarthy could be had in the 2nd round .
