  1. I've seen enough....pull Cutler. This is starting to resemble last week.
  2. I'm surprised the douchebag refs didn't call 'leading with the head" on. Conte with that last miss by Nelson. What a bunch of CSers!!!
  3. There's the phantom BS call someone mentioned earlier this week!
  4. That lady incomplete Jsy three was the opposite of Rodgers' first INT. Jay should have kept throwing in front if BM not behind.
  5. I got something that said he's ruled out. Not sure the source.
  6. A thing of beauty ! So far !!! Keep it up fellas!
  7. Another bad omen is Buck and Aikman announcing. The Bears always play bad with them. Although Hestrr and a penalty look good for now....
  8. As 'negative nelly' as I feel today I have a very slight optimism for what is about to come. A gal friend of mine (who is a Packers backer) wanted to get together today and I said resoundingly "no"! I scared my youngest daughter last week during the Eagles game with my incessant cursing. My older daughters boyfriend and his family are Packers fans too. I told her she needed to find someone new. Very tense around here right now. I'm wondering if 12:30 in the afternoon is too early for some hootch to take the edge off? Time to get my "jerk face" on! Lol
  9. Agreed. They appear to be addressing the lower end cost players with the "rainy day fund" left over for emergencies for this year. I believe that was how Emery explained the money anyhow. And it won't count towards the cap for next year (?).
  10. Having someone like Frazier would be nice for the historical ties he has with the team of the 80's. He does have some decent background in defense true. Speaking of, where is Singletary these days? Something tells me he'd be a good D coordinator. Look what he built in San Fran. But after it's all said and done, Tucker will more than likely be back next year.
  11. In one regard I get it because he's a low cost player but ??? Has he been that important to sign now rather than later? I for one would have preferred the team kept Clutts.
  12. I share in your pessimism. I predict Jay will struggle, Trestman will stick with him and next week the Packers will be out of the playoffs after losing in the wild card round.
  13. Oh spare me.... "You wouldn't brag" , now that is funny. I believe that Drunk Bomber set up this link so that we could "talk smack" as one of the by-products. I'm sorry if the smack I was talking hurt your sensitive nature. Didn't realize it was all that smacky. And for what its worth I'm glad you have so much time on your hands that you can "manage five teams" to try and make money out of the deal.
  14. I thought Monte Kiffin was the DC in Dallas?
  15. I hear what yo're saying and did ask the same question. Seriously, thinking between Chicago and GB I had to ask which one would last longer in the playoffs? Not sure either would advance past the first round. BUT...then I say, strange things tend to happen in the playoffs. Teams that aren't supposed to win, sometimes do. Arizona just beat the "unbeatable at home" Seahawks this last weekend. Chicago beat GB (IN GREEN BAY and WITH A BACK UP) this year. When was the last time THAT happened? Applying the same thought process when Tennyson wrote: "Tis better to have lost at love than to never have loved" I'd say, I'd rather see the team win to get in the playoffs and take their chances rather than not even try.
  16. Thanks Uncle Buck. Right back at ya! Cheerio and huzzah Daventry! This board certainly has its share of characters and that is what makes it so entertaining. All my best to all of you.
  17. I know, I used to get all worked up about fantasy football. Got into many an arguement with co-workers, friends etc about all kinds of silly things. Then as time wore on and other worldly things loomed larger, I realized this is just entertainment. This an opportunity for us to rib each other about how sucky our teams are or woeful our choices are. With me, it was just plain dumb luck...but sweet nonetheless. All my best to you in the coming year. Here's to 2014!
  18. What is funny is that despite all the silliness that occured early on with the seaon and how some of YOU took offense to the mid-season trade I was a part of, I still won. I WAS Da Boars yes, and I'm sure it isn't "any big deal" especialy since you didn't win. Had you it would've been a different story perhaps. But don't worry, as I said previous I'll step down so that you'll have a better chance at winning next year. You're welcome. Happy Holidays to all. Please enjoy this precious time with your families and if you must travel...do it safely.
  19. You're welcome. I posted in the league about 'crow for dessert'. I have some left if you'd like? Seriously, it was an intriguing run and what's more I apparently don't take it as serious as some. Especially given the midseasion bashing I got for the "colluding trade". Figure I'll step down for next year to allow someone else the shot at Fantasy excellence. And it's good to go out at the top of the sport. Been fun. Happy holidays !
  20. "Six one, half dozen the other", 'catch-22' ... Whatever the idiom, Trestman and Emery have their work cut out for them. Do you pay Cutler the money he "deserves" as a Franchise QB and skimp on the D or dump him and save money to invest in what is obviously a gaping hole right now? As I pointed out previous, I feel that the team needs to start Cutler on. Sunday against the Packers. Not because he is the better QB right now, but because (potentially) he could be for the longer run. Do I think McCown is capable of 'caretaker status' until either a draft pick or a trade (like Cousins ) are able to take over? Most undoubtedly 'yes'. In my mind option 2 is slightly better than the first . We'll have to wait to see what the "professionals" think.
  21. I won't echo all of what Adam has said because I agree mostly to his points. Cutler certainly did no favors for the team last night. He looked and played lackluster. Yes there were some other issues to overcome (poor punt and Hester fumble) but when he had the ball he didn't show/exhibit a sense of urgency. Now keep in mind, many of you consider him the "franchise QB" and last night he fell far short. Now the question is; does the team let him play next week to "prove himself" and risk missing the playoffs or go with the "hot hand" in McCown? For the future of the franchise I say Cutler.
  22. I swears if McCown is more efficient and is able to score I will not say another thing nice about Jay....ever
  23. We'll at least Jay is targeting other receivers now. Unfortunately they are in green but whatever.
