Well for me this is a no brainer....if you have a guy that's 6'6 runs a 4.4 and has all the tools that Erod has he might be a better matchup nightmare for other teams to defend. There are a few great TE that were basketball players i.e. Gates,Gonzales and a few others in the NFL as well so there might be something to it. This would cause a lot of creativity on the part of the staff to make this two TE set work with Bennet and Onubun but hell he could in fact be better than Davis at some point

With all the off season moves we made IMHO we have the chance to be a really good team from position to position. I think at maybe the secondary will be our only weakness. QB Cutler, McCown, Blanchard Cutler will start of course but McCown is not scare to throw the ball and the staff seem to be high on Blanchard RB Forte, Bush, Allen, Ford, Unga, Forte is the starter and with the new staff will be more involved in the passing game than he was last year, Bush will be the short yards guy Unga gets cut, and Allen and Ford will fight it out for the 3rd RB spot WR Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Anderson, Golden, Fields, Lenz, Wilson, Weems, Moss, Rucker, Toliver, Here Marshall,Jeffery and Bennett are the top three, I'm seeing that Lenz, Fields and Rucker wont make the team so there will be a war with Weems, Toliver, Moss, Golden, Anderson and Wilson for the last two or three spots with maybe Weems Anderson and Wilson having the upper hand TE Bennett, Maneri, Miller, Adams, Eldridge, Onobun, Rodriguez, With this crew I see bennett as the main show with Maneri as the blocking TE and I do see value in Ono bun and Erod. So Eldridge,Miller and Adams get cut OT Bushrod, Carimi, Mills, Webb, Brandon, Scott, Well this is down to the battle for the right side.....between Webb/Scott and Mills Carimi is just getting himself deeper in the doghouse and Brandon will be cut G Brown, Long, Slauson, Dennis, Britton, I think Long and Slauson will be the startes and Brown as 3 guy C Garza, Boggs, Williams, Lonergan, Garza stays but look out DE McBride, McClellin, Moore, Wootton, Ozougwu, Peppers, Washington, Whiteside, IMHO Whiteside, Ozougwu and either Moore or McBride are gone DT Collins, Irvin, Melton, Minter, Paea, Tupou, Russell, Other than Melton and Paea...we will have a good battle for the other two spots LB Anderson,Bostic, Briggs, Franklin, Greene, Trahan, Thomas, Costanzo, Williams, Wilson No worries here.......Wilson,Trahan, and franklin are gone CB Bowman, Hayden, Hurst, Jennings, Jones, McManis, Tillman, Wilson, Tillman and Jennings are good...Bowman and Hayden are second teamers but I think one of these guys can replace Bowman FS/SS Conte, Hardin, Nelson, Quarles, Steltz, Walters, Wright, ,Zbikowski, This is going to be interesting as well with Hardin and Zbikowski in the mix with Steltz..Nelson and Quarles are out

Ha Ha Ha in response to you post McCellan actually did something for the defense other than almost getting the QB killed as in the case with Carimi
-
Not much on him seems like a ST guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=lxzPM85l7xU

Ha he might just came to realize that he sucks and is fighting just to stay on the roster. With Long and Mills being the newcomers and Bushrod, Webb and Scott at the top three spots at tackle and with Slauson, Britton, and Brown at guard if there is no earth shaking performance during OTA'S and camp he will cut
-
Who care now....give me a helmet I can run over him,the way I see it is with Webb, Scott, Mills and Bushrod at tackles and Slauson,Long,Williams, Brown and Britton at guard he may feel like there is no way he gets it done on a bad knee
-
I would have cut either Wilson, Franklin and or Trahan
-
Ha Ha Ha that was a good one....I never said he was Deion Sanders, but in fact said that he might have been better than some of the DB'S we already had on the roster. So we signed Maurice Jones, Demontre Hurst, C.J. Wilson to fill his spot with Isaiah Frey, Zack Bowman, Kelvin Hayden, so who do we keep behind Tillman and Jennings

I'm sorry I have to agree with Jason not sorry for agreeing with Jason but sorry that your views are all screwed towards the use of pot in the NFL. Players are making millions to play this game have a internal responsibility to maintain a high level of control and discipline. As an ex-football player i didn't use the stuff or drink while I was playing therefor eliminating the process of get caught having it. How can you get a DUI, speeding ticket, murder charge and any other violation of the law when you are in the biggest spotlight in the world? How lack of judgement. My friend asked me if you had all the millions some of these players have what would you do? I told him i would buy a house with everything i needed in it. And if I went out i clubbing I would be driven around and trying my best to protect my way of living!!!! No carrying guns, making it rain at the strip clubs, driving drunk, beating up women or men for that matter....just staying at home bring the party to my house. These guys are products of their environments and once they leave from broke college students to making thousand to millions of dollars they to leave those old ways and habits alone......they are young and will have to learn the lesson the hard way

Michael Turner is no longer with the Falcons

Looking at our line we have a lot of battles for positions this year. We have centers that can play Guard we have Guards that can play center, we have guards that can or are projected in the future to play tackle and we have tackles that can play guard. Our coaches will have their hands full trying to figure out who is the best fit to play where with all the new additions(in bold). So what are your thoughts of who should be where? But IMHO Boggs, Lonergan, Brandon, Dennis will be among the first cuts we make C Boggs, Garza(C/OG)Williams(C/OG),P.J. Lonergan G Slauson(OG/C), Long(OG/OT),Britton, Brown(OG/OT), T Brandon, Bushrod, Carimi(OT/OG), Dennis, Mills(OT/G), Scott,Webb,

Well other the Marshall Jeffrey and Benett if we gdt three to step up we will have a deep group
-
From the look at the roster we might have a deep group of WR with Marshall Jeffrey Bennett Wilson Hester Anderson Harrison Toliver Moss Golden Weems......i know Hester wont be a WR but he is atill in the group
-
Ok here comes Tebow....yes im down with him on the team....he can run the read optkon that we have in the playbook faster bigger than the other two back ups and hgive him a shotas playing time...
-
Our next pick should be either Swoope Stills or Collins at speed WR
-
Well Bailey and Williams are both gone.
-
Looking at the tapes on those three only Klein moves to the ball the others are just going thru the motions. Moore may have a lot of tackles for a loss but how many times does he get blocked and just stops playing or just flat out over runs the play.Greene also just stands around alot too
-
Give me A.J. Klein those others are lazy and don't like to tackle anybody
-
There are rumors that teams this year want to move down in the draft teams specifically mentioned are the Eagles (fourth), Lions (fifth), Browns (sixth), Bills (eighth) and Dolphins (12th) ,Cowboys(eighteen)as having made calls trying to trade down. Also the Jets and Vikings have two picks in first round...and maybe the Falcons and 49ers wanting to move up. So what kind of trades up or down do you see coming?
-
I understand what you are saying but speed kills. From my playing day the fast guys got hurt less because youi cant catch them. Looking at Austin and his moves out of the slot position he is going to be a nightmare
-
So as of right now this is what our Bears look like on paper. Not bad but we can get better IMHO the players listed in Bold are locks to make the team, the underlined ones are the first to be cut, but the others are a toss up as to who stays and who goes QB Cutler, McCown, Blanchard RB Forte, Bush, Allen, Unga, TE Bennett, Maneri, Rodriguez, Adams, Eldridge, Miller, Onobun WR Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Weems, Anderson, Golden, Moss, Toliver, OT Bushrod, Webb, Carimi, Scott,Brandon, OG Slauson, Brown, Williams, Britton, Riley, Dennis, C Garza, Boggs, DE Peppers, McClellin, Wootton, McBride, Ozougwu, Moore, Whiteside DT Melton, Paea, Collins, Fluellen, LB Williams, Briggs, Andersrson, Costanzo, DeCicco, Thomas, Franklin, Trahan, Wilson CB Tillman, Jennings, Hayden, Bowman,McManis, Lewis, Frey, FS Conte, Steltz, Zbikowski, Nelson, SS Wright, Hardin, Walters, Quarles, ST Gould (K), Hester (KR/PR), Mannelly (LS), Podlesh, (P)
-
Maybe and maybe not Collins made the team last year and Fluellen played for the Lions so they might make the roster depending on what we do in the draft and during the rest of the post draft cuts. I will say this.......they signed him for a reason(Fluellen) and it may not be to be just camp fodder as you say
-
Sir are are misinformed....we actually have four DT'S on the roster as in Melton, Paea, Collins and Fluellen
-
