Yes this make for a good battle in training camp for the NO1 spot on the other side of Tillman. Also gives us good depth so we wont see Bowman getting used like green Bay did to him last year. But wait he plays for the Vikings now so maybe we can abuse him......LOL
-
Yes I agree with you, I want the 5 or 6 WR on the roster that can give us the best chance of winning
-
Yes that maybe true about their pass rushers, but now we have two guys that will out jump, attack the ball use their body as a sheild and are hard to tackle playing WR for us that we didnt have before. So we will stay in drives longer giving our D the chance to rest more. Oh and we have speed coming off the edge on D as well
-
No I dont think this was a problem for the Bears. He did this to prevent something from happening, but then again the Bears might have told him that this needs to be done in the future.

Well you know as well as I do when i make the reference to height for OUR team I use the players we have that have the "better hands, the ability to catch, the ability to run routes, shielding off defenders, making the catch at the maximum height possible" those qualities they dont elude me. Because if they players didnt have those traits in the first place they would either be sitting on the bench or at home like you and I."Height does not necessarily equate to increased production" true I give that to you but on the other hand it does give you an advantage that could and can equate to increased production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTegYX4Gro4

Hey you are the man!! I'll be there LOL
-
LOL you are funny with the way you compare the change of positions. You have a few good points I'll give you that and so do i, but like I said before I win and you lose.....because if the Bears are going to use him as a FB/RB for a few plays then its going to happen and there is nothing YOU can do about it. I'm in favor and you are not. No further explanation needed
-
Like I said you you have pointed out it is easy to game plan against the Packers. The packers are a throwing team, have 3,4,5 WR on the field all the time......so when you kow this that is what you focus on in game planning. You assign one player to spy the RB.The problems are with actually covering those WR's. Example...the Packers killed us with that slant on the goalline because they dont have the height to run the fade route with any sucess, the slant you know it coming but still you dont cover it
-
Yes because you and I both know 6'4 against 5'10 is a win for us all day in a red zone fade route or jump ball right?
-
What make this guy a loser? For the record I hate Ochocinco cant learn the playbooks of two different teams and always wants to show off for doing something simple....his job. I just want to see this team get better. When you have options that can do damage to the teams you play against then load up and get it done.Well yes we added four WR, two beast IMHO in Marshall/Jeffrey, and two role playing WR Thomas/Weems. I just go with what I see we need as a team. Yes I love big tall WR because they give your team an advantage from the first snap against small 5'9 to 6'0 DB's. Also your QB does not have to throw the ball picture perfect all the time when your guys can go and get a high pass or attack the ball in a jump ball situation. You see hao Green Bay just used our DB on the goalline last year with that slant route(they knew we couldn't cover it) and won the game. Well this year watch what we do and who we use in the red zone that teams cant match up to. Davis/Spaeth at TE 6'7, Marshall/Jeffrey at WR at 6'4. I want players on this team to make the team better, if its a UDFA so be it, if its a guy that can come in and take Webb's job then thats fine with me too.
-
Yes you are right, didnt they get beaten by the Chiefs and the Giants too last year?
-
Yes i agree will the extension and learning how to catch. Our defense it built around getting turnovers.
-
?????lol ok i feel you

I dont know what???? That Jeffrey is a better WR than Hester? Really....I mean really how many passes did you see Hester catch in college and with the Bears that were not thrown right to him?How many times did you see Hester attack the ball, out jump someone for the ball in the jump ball situations, or catch the ball one handed huh??? You just need to watch how, where and when jeffrey catches the ball....and also who some of the guys he is catching the ball against...i say first and second rounds picks.Who cares about Benson and for the record Jeffrey is listed right now behind Hester not Bennett on the second team. Oh and you think Hester is a starting no 1 WR???? Well the Bears didnt think so thats why we now have Marshall and Jeffrey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fljiaojL5fM...feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70K6RBlCsDw...;feature=topics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULKAO6R_0Rg...feature=related

Well you say it could hurt.....BUT we didnt draft him and by the way we traded up to get him for him to sit on the bench. Cutler asked for bigger targets and he got them. And the what if.....do most teams keep their first or second round picks on the bench if they drafted them for positions of need?? I think not. Now you really think that Jeffrey will hurt cohesion.......thats what OTA's and training camp is for to gain COHESION!!! Yes Cutler knows Bennett ,Marshall and Hester but you now have a better WR than Hester to throw to. Marshall/Jeffrey are not scared to go across the middle, they both attack the ball and not just let it come to them, they are hard to bring down after the catch and are a mismatch for the shorter DB's in the league with jump balls. Can you say that about Hester....no you cant.Bennett is good at being open and catching the ball but he is short like Hester. Now our red zone has gotten better with 6'7 Davis/Speath at TE, 6'4 Marshall,6'3-1/2 Jeffrey at WR...hard to stop that. The "what can it hurt" mentality will win you football games because you are willing to try something new for things that do not work.It allows you to...... lets say put a DT at FB for better blocking or him being harder to tackle than your RB (Bears the fridge),it allows you to put a LB at TE(Patriots) on the goalline to catch touchdown passes. It allows you to put a WR /RB at QB to run the ball(Jets, Bears, Dolphins) out of the shotgun. So in all those situations and more what can it hurt? Nothing!

Your first three point are good and correct. But the last three i beg to differ. 1) A starting DT is in a position to get hurt in a hard hitting environment, playing a position he isn't exactly comfortable with at this point. Who is to say he is not comforable at it..he played the position(RB) in high school and college,by the way all players are in a position to get hurt in a hard hitting environment that football. Now ask yourself how did our DT Matt Toeaina suffered a broken right hand in OTA's 2) Extra wear in the game, right before he has to come back out on defense, making him less effective at the position he is on the team to play. If and when he does play RB, being that he is on a rotation at DT he wont play the next series on defense after running the ball, unless the team and he feels good about going back on defense. This is no different than some of the starters playing on special teams, they play that one play then go back to their position on offense or defense. 3) A higher chance for fumbles in critical spots of the game. What higher chance of fumbles??? Look at Barber last year when his fumble cost us the game against Denver, and the game were Forte fumbled twice in the game. There is no higher chance of fumbling because he used to carry the ball before. I can understand if he NEVER played the position before then your point would be valid.
-
Well thats true to a degree but what can it hurt. I'm sure that he can make more of a difference than Sanzanbacher did last year as a rookie
-
He the Bears defense should be better this year. And if they are better at the 3 and outs giving us good field position, Hester gets more chances to return the punts. This will make us better and yes he can break a few so I can yell my head off..go..go..go..go Touchdown!!!
-
WR Chris Summers, seems like a good prospect if we can get him to play like Marshall or Jeffrey(how he can play) then I see him making at least the practice squad.
-
Well that's good and all, but to me he needs to step his game up. He plays too much "let the WR catch the ball then tackle him" coverage to be a good CB. He needs to be in the hip pocket of the WR to make plays on the ball. Sure they play cover two alot, but when there is only one WR on your side cover the man more closer and make a play if thrown your way.
-
Well think about this why wouldn't you? You have Marshall on one side which is going to draw double teams...then you put Jeffery on the othe side one on one with a smaller corner....teams will have to pick their poison. So the Bears will have more options than just throw the check down to Forte.
-
I think you are corret about this..maybe he does not have what it takes to play LT in the NFL.
-
Well you will see a lot of him this year....lol
-
I agree Gould should be on that list
