  1. Good....if WR Chris Summers does make the opening day roster(i dont think so) but that will be three WR's at 6'3 and above. Summers is 6'5
  2. No that he has his own show...with the nw players on offense he can own the field as well
  3. Yes i see your figures and if you look at the rushing stats compared to the passing ones you will see that Green Bay wins only because of their passing game.
  4. No Im not at all confused, my post was that Melton was being used as a FB to help the team, your point was this was a bad idea to switch positions. Then we started to compare apples to grapes. Yes i agree with you that Melton was drafted to play DT/DE, but Clutts was not drafted and had to make a team anyway he could(FB) since he was a DE in college. My point was that since Melton had played RB/RB in college before he could do it with the Bears for a few plays....not all year without hurting the team at DT. And as you can see you have a DT thats bigger and faster than Clutts and ran a fourty time in the 4.5 area that played in the backfield ....why not try it for a few plays . http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/sha...vations_fr.html Tyler Clutts, Fresno State Height: 6-2. Weight: 245. 40 Time: 4.67. Projected Round: FA. A tweener who made the All-WAC Conference Second Team with five sacks.
  5. Yes they have, but they are a pass happy team..if you could stop them in their passing game then they fall apart with out a running game
  6. Yes i agree, but is Webb better? Maybe since he was cut but hey you never know. Just like Brady sitting behind Bledsoe in New England.
  7. So who do you think are the biggest winners and losers? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1213429...rs-otas/page/11
  8. I IMHO think that they will be better than they were last year due to Martz leaving and players back from injury. They were doing well at the mid point of the season having a few games I think without giving up a sack. If the Bears use the shotgun more and the short three step drops then the Oline will not have try to hold their blocks long. http://www.prosportsdaily.com/nfl/bears/
  9. Now we got Alshon jeffrey as i say the NO.2 WR on ther other side of Marshall we just went from having below average WR'S to possible top flight WR core. Also look at his yards after the catch, and who some of his catches were against (Kirpatrick,Barron Jennings )top draft picks. Notice where he catches alot of his passes and the moves, jukes, and stiff arms....like marshall...LOl I say he will be a mini-me to marshall...lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULKAO6R_0Rg...feature=related

    Our new WR

So this is what we will be getting this year with Marshall? Take notice of the QB throwing him the ball(Orton) and the DB guarding him(Jennings). Take special notice of all the yards after the catch moves, jukes, stiff arms, broken tackles....wow. Not to mention that he had 21 catches in one game!(NFL record) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5q6HoHYDKQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q52pUl8vZM...;feature=g-vrec
  11. LOL well thank you!! LOL
  12. I'm not saying he is great or even good just that we need something better than Webb getting Cutler killed. Maybe Wlliams can do the trick this year
  13. The Bears are not trying to be a pass happy team just a balanced team with more options than just Forte as the leading WR. Like Hester said with the WR'S, TE'S and RB'S we how have its hard for teams to game plan against us when you can both run and throw the ball. Just like it was easy to game plan against the Packers because they had a week running game, the Vikings with no passing game, but teams like the 49ers, Texans, who had balance it was hard to either play the pass or stack the box.
  14. Actually yes i do and agree with you on some of your points........but as you well know this is the NFL and teams do what they feel will make their teams better. But was switching Urlacher from saftey to LB a bad idea? Some work and others don't
  15. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl Patriots | Jon Opperud released Thu, 07 Jun 2012 08:29:19 -0700 The New England Patriots have released OT Jon Opperud. 0 Comments | Source: Patriots.com | Share:
  16. He was just cut by the Patriots but he might be a better option than Webb at 6-7, 308
  17. When you take a closer look at the top QB'S in the league three things jthat ump out at you are this............. (1)Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers all come from teams with below average running game and (2)they have better WR talent or scheme than the Bears did and (3) their Olines were better. When was the last time you had a 1000 yard rusher from those teams? So they throw the ball more making them look better in the stats
  18. LOL Ted Washington might not have worked....he was maybe too big!!
  19. So the Bears maybe are tying something new this year because Martz is gone......if it works the getting a lead then grinding down the clock part make for good wins I'm all for it. Good teams do it all the time and we are trying to be a good team.
  20. My question is....why do we have to pick one player from the Vikings???????????
  21. Bad idea you say but just watch and tell me how this can hurt if we use him maybe two or three times a game?
  22. Good points but read this about Melton and correction he played tailback instead of fullback in college. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/categ...or-mill/page/2/
  23. Forte does not need any respect....they Bears just need to play the man and lets play ball!!!!! Forte has done it all for the Bears.....leading receiver, leading rusher what else is there from a RB?
  24. So where is your point??? If the Bears want melton to play fullback then no matter what you say it will happen ..if you like it or not. But still a 295lb guy blocking is better than one at 260 more power and force behind the blocks. Yes we have Forte, Bush and Clutts but lets give one of them the ball running behind a blocking Melton and you will get results as Walter did running behind Mr. Perry. Now your point about position change is rather silly because its done everyday in the NFL; QB to WR, WR to DB, DB to WR, DT to DE ,Garza to center Williams to guard and on and on........and its done to take advantage of size, speed and qualities a player has that can help the team in better situations. The Bears did it with the Fridge, the Falcons did it with Sanders and the Jets did it with Smith even the Steelers used Stewart as a WR. You are right the Bears are not the Patriots and Lovie is not Belichick but they are both playing to win and doing what they think can push their teams over the edge. So what makes you think that Clutts is faster than melton in the first place? What makes you think that he is a better blocker? You need to look at the bigger picture here. Anything that can make your team better should and will be used. Like someone also said how hard can it be...."Melton line up in the backfield on two run to the left and flatten any guy you see is the wrong color".
