  1. So with our upcoming season already started how do you see the Bears finishing with the teams we play next year? HOME Lions.Packers,Vikings,Eagles,Cardinals,Steelers,Browns,Rams AWAY Ravens,Falcons,Seahawks,Bengals,49ers,Lions.Packers,Vikings I really don't see anyone other than the Ravens, Eagles & Steelers and passing Cardinals but I give us a 10-6 record
  2. Its called restructure of contract, cutting etc, where there is a will there's a way!
  3. IMHO this is what I think the Bears should do in the FA period if all possible. In the secondary Let M.Brown and McGowan go & get Sean Jones from Clev.and Asomugha from the Raiders Move Payne to SS and Vasher/Manning to the nickel DE see if Peppers is still there to Ogun WR get either C. Johnson. T.O or T.J. Hous, Bouldin or oneone to be the number one. Move Williams to LT, sign ST. Clair at LG move Buenning to RG and find someone to back up Tait Find a center in the draft...kruetz is getting old
  4. Hester,Wolfe and Forte in the wildcat!!! Yes Yes , Yes~~~ Works for me
  5. Yes they can, if you have a better option than what you have already you can do it.....now if the Bears are dead set on winning they can do alot of out the box moves. JA say already that he is not scared of cuting players.
  6. So tell me why we needed this guy again? Oh for special teams again
  7. Did you know that we have Cameron Worrell back on the team from the Dolphins and that J.D. Runnels the fullback is now signed with the Bengals?
  8. I say go and get FA Asomugha from the Raiders and FS Jones from the Browns and put Payne at SS and Vasher or Tillman at nickel and let either Tillman/vasher or Graham fight it out for the other corner. Cut Hamilton and I hate to say it but let Mkie brown go
  9. JA is looking for the wrong part of the puzzle right now. Yo JA fix the Oline first that's what you need to protect any QB you get.
  10. As the MLB you have to read and react. But this year with Urlacher up close to the line there is no way you can do this. So one block by the center or guard and he is out of the play that's why our DB'S had so many tackles this year
  11. Yes sign me up too, but if we can just get that lock down corner from the Raaiders..I forgot hjs name then we have something
  12. This is what I have been saying all along we need better one on one players at the corner...A lock down physcial guy on both sides.
  13. We don't need to copy anyone....what we need was to get rid of the stupid scheme of our LB to close to the line and our DB turn and bail cover scheme
  14. right now looking at the games we play I will go on record and say we will be 11-5 again next year
  15. I went on record saying that we were an 11-5 team. If we didn't have the let down at the Panthers,Falcons and Bucs we are right where I guessed we would be.
  16. With Jerry firing the DB coach already it's safe to say where he thought the problems are this year and I agree. But with that loss we need to get players and a coach that can really help this defense in the secondary. In FA these three guys stand out to me as players we need to turn the corner in the D-backfield. Nnamdi Asomugha, UFA, Oakland Raiders Asomugha’s numbers don’t overwhelm other than his eight interceptions in ’06, but the big reason that he has only 241 career tackles and 10 interceptions is because opponents attack the side of the field that Asomugha isn’t on. He has 40 passes defensed over the past three seasons prior to ‘08 and he’s one of the NFL’s best in coverage. He’s held some of the game’s best receivers in check in single coverage and when he becomes a free agent, he may command the most attention of the lot. Dawan Landry, RFA, Baltimore Ravens -- Veteran who would be nice in our secondary It is difficult to imagine that the Ravens would let Landry get away considering he is young and showed major potential during his first two seasons in the NFL. Landry, a safety, made a significant impact in his first year when he made 69 tackles and had five interceptions as well as three sacks. While his sacks and interceptions dropped in year two, he tallied 83 tackles, still making plays on the ball but just not coming up with turnovers. Sean Jones, UFA, Cleveland Browns
  17. Bears' receiving corps gets makeover: Rashied Davis out as starter December 23, 2008 Rashied Davis didn't hide his frustration leading into Monday night's game as criticism of his play mounted. Imagine how the Bears' receiver feels now after being benched. Davis, who entered the game with a team-high seven drops, was replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Lloyd. Davis had started the previous five games and 12 of the team's 14. "It's not easy to be sitting back and watching when you know you're capable enough to be out there playing," Davis said. "I just did my job. I thank God that I was able to go out and have some opportunities to make some plays [on special teams]." Rookie Earl Bennett entered Monday's game as the third receiver on the Bears' first series. Marty Booker was the fourth receiver to see the field after missing the last game with a rib injury. Davis stood on the sideline the first half, removing his parka just for special teams assignments. The shakeup was easy to understand: Bears receivers entered the game 29th in the league in receptions with 111 and 27th in receiving yards with 1,503. "We shook it up a little bit," offensive coordinator Ron Turner said. "Marty was still banged up a little bit with his ribs. The biggest thing was getting Earl in there. ... Rashied is a great competitor, and he's not happy with the way he's played, but he'll work his way out of it. He's a team guy."
  18. I know from both playing in high school and college that coaches can and do motive the players. But it's the main responsibility of the players to motive themselves and their other players. Prime example when I played DB in college when had a nickname for our secondary it was called the Twilight Zone. And we tried to knock your lights out if you tried to catch the ball. Our coaches started to fed in on it after the second game and start using it to keep us pumped. Also they would put up stats of the other teams WR'S issuing us a challenge to keep them low or take them out of the game. We had an award called they "Dog Hammer" our team was the Bulldogs, but the dog hammer is given to the player who had the biggest hit, most ints, tackles or what ever.......but we played hard to earn that award each week and you should have seen how the players played and hit...a thing of beauty!! Now I know that the pros are different than the lower non pro levels but the coaches can try to motivate the player and the players to other players as well. Like one guy said we need the Ray Lewis attitude on this team. We need the Bill Cower/ Iron Mike type of coach. Hell this team has a nickname that we hardly even hear anymore "The Monsters Of The Midway" because we are not playing like it and the players are not hyped to it.

    Good win

And the Raiders returned a punt or a Kickoff for a TD. So here's to Manning/Hester doing the same next week>
  20. LOL now that was funny!!! And yes chilly you are killing us..........going to sleep on the Bears what's wrong with you man? LOL
  21. Hell bring in Grossman to throw the deep pass, caan't hurt more than Orton throwing the ball to people who he didn't see
  22. Firing Lovie is not the answer to our problems. We need players!! Lovie does not throw a pass, catch a pass, block, or tackle! We play the Packers and have no WR that can get off the line from bump and run. We have a line that cannot open holes for Forte to run through and make a pocket for our QB to throw out of. We get rid of players like Chris Harris SS with the Panthers for who...ADam Arch. We let Moose go for who Booker? Berrian Ayanbadejo, Bradley Gage, Columbo, Thomas Jones........and who did we get again? Jones=Pro Bowl with the jets, Ayanbedejo= Pro Bowl with the Ravens, Gage with the 12-3 Titians, Columbo with the Cowboys we need to get and keep the right players! IMHO to make this team better we need to think outside the box. WR position has players like TO, Chad, Tj Hou, Bouldin, Colston, More open for the taking...take some. At QB look at some of the players we could get... like Garcia=running QB with an arm, Collins well sort of old but still Cassell. We need cover corners like the the Packers who got Woodsen=Pro Bowl our WR could not get open against!
  23. Marvin is good but he is getting old....and what we need are WR that are 6'2 and above and fast. I have nothing against the little guys but they way we run the ball we need biggeer WR to block and create mismatches with smaller DB'S.
  24. Wesson44

    Good win

So what I say, we have beaten team with those kind of players and better ones. We can stop them from running the ball andd we can play cover two to double Johnson and one end won't matter if we lock him with the tackle and help from the TE/RB. We can beat this team and be 10-6.. Hoping that the Vikings, Cowboys and Bucs all loose. Well just the Vikinjgs and Cowboys....then we have Tampa Bay at home for the first round in bear weather!
  25. The Giants have a first round bye and home field advantage. since the beat the Panthers
