The Bears on Tuesday signed safety Sean Cattouse to the practice squad and terminated the practice squad contract of running back Harvey Unga. Cattouse, a Chicago native who attended Hubbard High School, entered the NFL in 2012 with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent from Cal, where he played with Bears safety Chris Conte. Cattouse was a three-time all-conference selection, playing in 49 games with 26 starts and recording 185 tackles, seven interceptions, 17 pass breakups, seven tackles for losses, two sacks and two fumble recoveries.

We signed Lockette because of his speed....he is a 4.2 guy at 6'3 and can catch, but Toliver was a 4.4 guys at 6'5. Lockette also plays specials teams as a gunner. Unga still here?????????? That would have been my first cut but hey maybe they see him as a FB or H-back type who knows.

Yes it was......I would rather have a 6'5 target for my QB rather than a 5'9 one any day,Ford to me could take Weems spot as a returner all day.Another thing Ford is cheaper to keep on the team rather than Weems with his salary of like what 2-3 mil

IMHO we have very smart guys and girls here on this board.....the problems are in your haste to be right about what you think/post you dont take time out to think that others can be right in their point of view and the logic the are seeing. I love a good back and forth as you know me and Jason go at it all the time, but I never call him names or try to insult him. Sure Bennett is a good steady player that Jay depends on....but IMHO I would not let him go now........with the way our roster is I would get rid of Weems. He really has no purpose now with Hester full time as a returner and with Ford making the roster and looking good as well. But with Anderson,Wilson and Toliver...Bennett maybe close to not being around much longer.

I think we match up well against this Bengals team. They remind me of the Lions with a QB and a WR with no real threat in the running game. TE will be a weapon for them, but just contain Green ad the TE'S and the cats wont do much.

With the latest rounds of cuts we have a WR group of Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Toliver, Wilson, Anderson....and Weems/Hester as extras The bold players are 6'3 and above so this will give us a few mismatches on the outside and in the red zone. So do you consider this group a strength or weakness

We wanted him..made and offer and he declined, the same with Urlacher made an offer he declined......so i do have a point we wanted them both....they didn't want to be here at what we wanted to pay. If THEY wanted to be here then they would have taken the offers given.....So its not a matter of IF we wanted him as you say....its they didn't want to be here thinking they could pay somewhere else.
