  1. If Pace could pull that trade off, it would almost offset the other dumbass trades he's made.
  2. Oh hell no! No buts. An offensive tackle or two is a must. In saying that, they must be groomed before a young QB. It all starts up front and I want our next prospect to succeed. Very true. As mentioned above, it all starts up front. OL and DL are infrastructure prices that must be solid and have depth. If we can squeeze another year out of this unit, great. I'm thinking at a minimum we need to spend a pick on a Trevathon replacement. It should be easy to find a good run stuffer. Roquan can handle the pass coverage.
  3. If we are drafting a pure right tackle, I agree. If we are drafting a left tackle to play the right side for a year, I'm taking Samuel Cosmi, Dillon Radunz or Walker Little. Little and Radunz can be had in the second giving you the ability to trade down or draft a higher DB, WR or edge.

I watched him at his pro day and he wowed me with his athleticism and size. Very agile dude. I definitely understand the skepticism. If Jaylon Mayfield fell to that pick, it was over.

    Mock Drafts

Here's one that I really like and it's pretty realistic. It involved trading out of the first.
  6. OT - Of course! Draft is deepest ever here. Must be done. WR - our skill positions are slow compared to better teams. DB, DL, OL, LB best available Could you imagine Christian Darishaw and Quinn Menierz on the right side this year?
  7. Yay, we'll get another 6th rounder...?
  8. When was the last time we had depth and all of our draft picks? I believe it was the "trust me" year from Lovie after he let Chico walk. The greatest weakness on our team was Rex Grossman and we failed to draft a QB to replace him. I'm not sure we've had a draft in the last 8 years where we didn't have needs or just certain players to get us over the hump. Now we are on a situation where we lack depth, missing draft picks and in bad cap shape. Is that environment conducive to grooming a new QB? I certainly don't think so. That's why I really want to build the fronts before we make another QB a sacrificial lamb. Once we do that, then we can do what GB does with QB's. Until then, it's just good ol Bears comical shit.
  9. I see what you are saying and pray it's true.
  10. I just watched an interview with their GM. He basically said they want a QB with a fresh start. Said they owed it to Sam to get a deal done because he never had a truly fair shot.
  11. What have the Jets gotten right the last several years? They interviewed Robbie Anderson this morning and he's happy to have Darnold back with him. He even said it wasn't fair to Sam that the Jets didn't put anything around him.
  12. I think they did ok. Two of the picks are next year, plus he's very inexpensive. I truly think he never had a chance in NY with the coaching changes and the players around him.
  13. I gotta tell it like it is. A winning record is a winning record. If we don't draft a QB and use this season to get the OL and cap right, and come out with a winning record: I'm freaking ecstatic! Everyone needs to recognize that if that indeed happens, that is a big deal for the future and a clear sign they've matured as a leadership tandem.
  14. Here it is, in a nutshell. Pace made Andy Dalton sound like the next Tom Brady and Nagy will resume play calling duties because Dalton is good enough to run the plays that are called from his back.

    I like this one more.
  16. Lol, good math. This year is deep with our needs, so I don't mind trading out of the first if we could gain a couple extra picks in the 2nd and 3rd. Here's an example. I traded 3 times to get out of the first.

I could live with this. QB next year.
  18. Deepest year in recent history for OL. Plus, they historically don't rank highly on BPA. They simply make the BPA's better. I'm all in on building both fronts. Since the D is pretty close, it's OL early. Doubt we do it though.
  19. The offense should definitely be better, on paper. My question is, who will call the plays? Lazor will stick to the script, while Nagy lies in bed masturbating over ways to have a WR snap the ball and catch a TD. Honestly, you can't say enough about Mooney and letl in year two. Aaron is Arob. Montgomery should be an automatic 1200 yd, 10 TD performer and Williams and Cohen provide depth and versatility. Draft an OL high while getting Daniels back provides strength and depth. Needs: QB, OL, WR. I'm still all in for building the base for a new QB next year, so we can definitely fill 2 of 3 needs early in the draft with premium players. Draft the QB from Stanford to be a long term backup. Go all in for QB next year.

Zack Wilson looked good today. His size scares the heck outta me. He has no room to grow from 210. He's got a ridiculous arm though.
  21. That's a good depth move, but I'm going to be shitty if Pace doesn't draft an OL in the first two rounds when this is a prime year for them.
  22. He was injured early in camp and never got in shape. You are correct that this affects speed over everything else.
