Just rattling this off. Robinson is likely too expensive. Wims and Miller are idiots. Mooney is typecast as a #2 but is a prototypical slot. Ridley somehow has not developed. So, in theory, we need to come up with a 1 and 2 WR. How does this get accomplished?

Drew Brees is done. Time to shorten the field and get his ass on the turf. Weakest arm in the NFL.
-
The ONLY way we can win this game is if we make Brees try to beat us over the top by using multiple run blitzes, press coverage and no soft zone underneath. All defenders up and tight. Hit Brees early and often. If he hangs 40 on us, make him bleed while doing so. Edit: breaking news. Manti Teo is active today, so scrap my plan and hide your women!

That's exactly what I would do. Nobody wants to make check down Mitch their franchise guy. Check down Mitch is a young placeholder QB or high level backup.
-
I picked Darnold. He has literally nothing on both sides of the ball. He would consider a move a blessing. The rest have shown great flaws in better situations.
-
I would do that 5 years ago, but he's got a lot of wear and tear.
-
Good question. I would attempt to answer it if I had coaches film. I would even ask our they even sent out deep routes. That ten yard window looked packed all game.
-
He had some time in Indy and I live just outside of it. I've heard directly from someone I love about what a piece of shit he is. I'll give no details, but he's dead to me.

For starters, I will boycott the Bears for any tenure that Jim Harbaugh would be Bears HC. Disagree with Meyer. He's a culture builder. The Jags have been craving that since the tenure of Colonel Coughlin proved to be too old school. Meyer has cred with the players due to popularity and success everywhere he's been. Never heard a negative thing from a former player or coach.

I get it. I'm simply tired of the rinse and repeat. Yes, I want a new QB, but I want OL before we draft him. Show me a better short term replacement for Mitch and I'll take it. Now, tell me how you are going to make that happen.
-
It's the price point. If he's signed for two years as a placeholder, fine. Nothing else has changed. I said all along this would be judgement day. Rodgers, as great as he is, has only one title. It wasn't close.

When you condense the field to ten yards, all defenses can look good. Trubisky has shown that he can't go deep on an acceptable level.
-
If they do anything at all, it must be this. Pagano has neutered this defense. What about Gregg Williams or Wade Phillips? Somebody with balls.
-
I saw what I needed to see. Trubisky doesn't cut it. Pagano needs to be fired...

This is what I said during the Lovie tenure. Keep the stands full, sell jerseys, have a good locker room and be competitive. That's the business model that Mikey and Teddy developed to keep the vault full. It think times have changed lately, as Virginia wants to see a winner before she goes to the other side. I don't think she will live long enough to see another GM build his team. There's another reason Pace will stay. It also may be the motivation that has driven his failure with the OL. Who really knows...

I am historically leery of Alabama players due to the fact that nearly every one of them has a future NFL player beside them. That much talent makes it that much easier to do your job.
-
Hell no. Hell no. Hell f'n no! ?
-
If they trade away next year's first to move up for a QB, I am done. That's exactly the opposite of what they need to build this team right. Could not disagree more...

Win, lose or draw this game is judgement day. It couldn't come at a better time, against a better team and a better consequence. Seven years ago yesterday was the week 17 game against the Packers for the division and a playoff birth. I remember that day well. It was very cold and Rodgers was just coming back from a broken collar bone. We were in control of that game until a 4th and 8 miracle from from Rodgers changed it all. Peppers had a great rush and was ready to sack Rodgers when Kuhn does a superman dive across the pocket to deflect Peppers just enough to release Rodgers. It was game freaking over, but Chris Conte bites on the under route that was already covered and Cobb scores the go ahead TD. I will always hate Chris Conte. Below, is a pic of me and my wife that day. The shock the entire stadium felt was numbing. It think Connerbear was there as well. That year was the first year of Trestman, so the staff and Cutler were safe. This year, a house cleaning party may occur. On the other hand, Trubisky can become the Kingslayer, as they have dubbed Rodgers the king in the north. Trubisky, in turn, can save the jobs of Nagy and Pace by getting it done in a big game, but most importantly resurrect his career. Bear down!

Thank you! Mitch is athletic, but he's the worst RPO QB I've ever seen. On the flip side, he's really good at play action, rollouts and boots.
-
They can get it done by restructuring contracts and cutting dead weight. They also can use the tag.
-
I'm already on record that I want him back for two years while we draft for the future.
-
I don't think anyone wants to crown him except the media. It's funny how that worm has turned. We will not crown his ass, lol. My final judgement on Trubisky will be Sunday. We know he can play winning football of things are good around him. What want to see is if he can rise to the occasion on a big night. Last big opportunity he had like this was when we lost to Philly in the playoffs. He didn't play well that game, but did put us in position for the double doink. I don't believe he will ever be worthy of the spot he was chosen, as he simply has never put the team on his back. Can he? Sure. Will he? Meh...
