Bears trade for N'Keal Harry, WR
So true. The story out of NE is that he never made the jump. Let's see.

State of the Roster...
What an off season! I don't think we've ever witnessed a year of such great turnover. We were one of the oldest teams in the NFL last year and are now one of the youngest. Going into the off season, we identified OL, DB and WR as the weakest units and that is where the greatest attention was given. Great job guys! I'm going to rank each unit of the team 1-32 and am interested to see what y'all think as well. DB - 16 LB - 18 DL - 22 OL - 31 RB - 3 WR - 24 TE - 8 QB - 18 What I look for in this roster is to make tremendous strides in growth. They must. There is talent all over the board, but there's no film on a lot of them. I'm predicting 6 wins with a huge wish for being an idiot.

Roquan holding out for new contract
He's probably looking at Darius Leonard money. 19 mil per season

Camp notes
This week was huge for Poles. Getting Brisker in without BS, with Quinn and Smith reporting are 100% victories. Getting the two veteran linemen to provide depth and experience is simply icing on the cake. They not studs by any stretch, but solid is OK at this point.

The Bears fluff game has always been the strongest. That being said, of course I loved it.

Roquan holding out for new contract
This is an area, quite opposite of Brisker. Poles would be a hero if he can make Roquan happy without breaking the bank.

Schofield (RG) signs One Year Deal
Meh. He's a good depth piece, but nothing above average. He plays too high.

11 days to camp
Especially now. In a brand new administration, you never want the tail wagging the dog.

11 days to camp
Poles better not cave to an unproven rookie. My guess is that he tells Brisker that he doesn't have enough dick to get into the measuring contest.

Trade Quinn?
That's a good thought. I'm just thinking we'll have growing pains.

Trade Quinn?
He will. I also would bet that Monty will be a deadline trade to a contender needing a solid back. This rebuild is truly a three year plan.

Trade Quinn?
I just read an article suggesting the Bears trade Quinn to KC. The Chiefs have 12 picks in next year's draft and are weak at RDE. Chris Jones would greatly benefit from better end play. Poles obviously has a relationship with with their GM to help matters. I've been very vocal about trading ALL assets that won't be in their when the team starts contending. Lastly, we know Quinn doesn't want to be part of a rebuild. What better way to show this new team that you are willing to help a veteran pursue his future?

If You Had Doubts About the New Sheriff
I watched "Americas Game", featuring the NYG. There was a lot of direct commentary with Strahan and Coughlin on the documentary. Strahan straight up stated that he hated Coughlin and was at a boiling point. So they had a conversation and a transformation took place in Strahan. Strahan gives Coughlin a ton of credit for his success on and off the field. If they didn't have that man to man conversation, they never would have won that Superbowl. In a nutshell, I really don't see a need for a liaison position. You have trusted coaches and players that convey the plan and ease tensions. After that, there's the man to man. If that doesn't work a decision needs to be made.

If You Had Doubts About the New Sheriff
The "on vacation" thing got me as well. That's why I took it as sending a message.

If You Had Doubts About the New Sheriff
Anything you guys said could be true. If Soup says why, that ends his career and Poles doesn't need to justify anything. My guess is that a little of the old scuttlebutt started and Poles and Flus thought it best to send a message by cutting the head off the snake.

Sounds like he found out the soup was a little cold....on his hiring.

Pioli tags Cole Kmet as Breakout TE
Graham shouldn't have been on the team in the first place.

Biggest Surprise on Offense in 2022
I hope not. They are assembling young talent, which I love. But, the unknown is what will kill your QB. Nagy put Simmons and Hambright out there, everyone on the outside knew they were terrible. I keep hearing comments on here about, "they know what they have him Jenkins" and I want to gouge my eyes out. We know nothing about him and if he doesn't ascend, that's another weak link that hasn't been accounted for. Something's amiss...

Biggest Surprise on Offense in 2022
I can talk reasonably about it and unequivocally state that it will not be good. The growing pains of a new OL gelling into a new system will take all season. All signs are pointing to next season. I'm good with that as long as Fields and the OL progress.
