  1. I'm watching Caleb on Hard Knocks, I was reminded of something I said about him from the combine. He just seems to be that dude walking through the park on a sunny day. The guy that catches your eye because he's looking at his surroundings in a way that only you thought you understood in your most peaceful place. Even when he couldn't hear the incoming calls, no problem. No animation. Just calm. Then he floats around between play, enjoying the process without a care in the world. This dude is different. I can't say I understand it, but I honestly like it because it seems beyond what I can comprehend. Is it like Steph Curry at the end of gold medal game? Joe Montana pointing out John Candy from the huddle before a SuperBowl winning drive? Who says they've not been nervous since their freshmen year in HS? It's almost sociopathic in a competitive sense. We're in for a treat if this kid stays healthy.
  2. As always, I hope they play. Muscle memory, rhythm and callous...
  3. While I see room for growth, I also see that the game is not too big for him. It seems as though he manipulates vs being manipulated. It is the same thing Mahommes and Rodgers do. It's cool collected calculated and simply cold. This is my playground type of mentality and I love it. I'm looking for rhythm just like everyone else, but the WTF stuff is there, in a good way...
  4. His worst drop year was 2022. He had three. For his career, he has a total of four drops on 131 targets for a 3% drop rate. NFL average is 6.7
  5. They are running slants successfully in practice. That's an enormous upgrade that will be unveiled. Wasn't on the playbook the last three years.
  6. Fun fact. His dad is Gary Pettis...
  7. Any DB that gets cut from us is likely to land a job elsewhere. Very deep group when you have starter quality backups. Barring injury, Dante Pettis makes the team. Makes me happy, because I've always liked him. He's days better than Scott and plays faster.
  8. I'm still hoping they play healthy starters in all games. It doesn't have to be a lot, but I want Caleb to be in rhythm.
  9. I stand corrected. I'll take Scott Pioli's word a hundred out of a hundred times over the Windy City Gridiron...
  10. I read that Poles matched the Falcon's offer of a 3rd rounder. The Patriots chose the Falcon's 3rd, thinking it will be a better pick than the Bears. It's pretty cool to think that they think we'll be better than the Falcon's.
  11. Cheers brothers! ? You are appreciated...
  12. Wheeler can scoot. Has hands like a rattle snake though...
  13. This is is a polarizing topic. I'm on the other end of it, with believing guys need the time to develop muscle memory and thicker skin.
  14. We are solid everywhere except C1, RG1 and EDGE 2. Fingers crossed on Booker
  15. I'm excited to see him this weekend. He'll get more than a handful of snaps with the starters. We know the pass rush promise is there. If he's going to be our "rookie" Micah Parsons, the run game has to get up to average. He acknowledged that he has a way to go on that regard.
  16. Totally agree. His interview, after the game, was great. Surprisingly, it's kinda coming naturally to him. That's a really good sign.
  17. Jurko said he looked great against guys that will be mowing lawns in a few weeks. He's looking forward to seeing him work with the first team next week, as Sweat probably won't play.
  18. Run play was the correct call. It should not have been a deep set slow developing run play. The OL win the LOS and Waldron blew it.
  19. He took a sack cause he couldn't find a guy, then threw a check down on third and long. Same player...
  20. I like that Flus is listening to Saban. I really liked his advice. It was clear that Flus got the message.
  21. His initiation tribute to America was hilarious. Flus calls him the eagle...?
