For the record, I believe this is a 6 win team. Believe it or not, I look forward to the growth and an optimistic that we finally have the correct approach to building a roster. Things should get exciting 2023 season.

Good thoughts. Completely agree on OL, as I believe we still don't have starting LT on the roster. We can get by as we did with Peters last year, but who does that develop? Hilton would be a good pickup if affordable. He absolutely will miss games, but he's a great route runner and locker room guy that would valuable in implementing the offense.

One thing about this draft, that I hope pans out, is that it is one of the deepest drafts in a long time, due to delayed graduations/eligibility from covid. So going from 6 to 11 picks is a major plus for the turnover of the roster. Especially since this year's 7th rounders may equate to 5th and 6th rounders. This is what I wanted for this year. The only thing that would have made it better would be to trade Quinn for extra picks. I'm looking forward to watching our young guys have growing pains this season. The following season we'll have draft capital and a better cap, so it will be a depth year and playoff push.(all dependent on Fields)

Tom, Raimann or Tolbert would be good. I don't know how Poles has rated players, but IMO OL and WR are the biggest needs. As fans, we tend to be more to the emotional side of drafting. It seems like they are staying with BPA and will have adjust accordingly later.

Gordon and Brisker were BPA. It shows Poles will stick to the plan.

I was surprised at the Cole Strange pic, but not Tyler Smith. Smith has tremendous upside. I was really hoping he would fall to us. His interview on GMFB was awesome. You can really tell he's got some Steve McMichael in his brain.

I'm good with all of it. I'm tired of the Bears getting close and having the window slammed shut for one reason or another. It's time to build that rock solid foundation from the ground up. Whoever may be used up in three years is on the block.

Quinn is a huge commodity as far as trade bait is concerned, Monty not so much. Quinn gets to the QB, which makes everyone else's job easier on defense. Monty is a good RB, but there's nothing special about him that changes games. If you project Monty's worth to when this team will be viable again, it's better to get younger legs if you can fetch a good draft pick for him.

I don't like the concept of drafting an LT prospect late in the draft to develop. If you like an LT prospect early, get him. At a minimum, he should be able to be a key back up, starting OG or late season starter.

There should plenty of cap and post draft cuts to get an OG.

Agreed to all. I would be in prison if stuff like this was serious. Would we even be talking about this if it were Tony Stewart?

We are in a place to give a guy a year to develop. We are playing this year to build the base and develop Fields. We can sign serviceable players, post draft, to fill the gap until next year. My personal mindset is to draft BPA for where we are headed as a team. There are scenarios where stashing a guy is best.
