Win, lose or draw this game is judgement day. It couldn't come at a better time, against a better team and a better consequence. Seven years ago yesterday was the week 17 game against the Packers for the division and a playoff birth. I remember that day well. It was very cold and Rodgers was just coming back from a broken collar bone. We were in control of that game until a 4th and 8 miracle from from Rodgers changed it all. Peppers had a great rush and was ready to sack Rodgers when Kuhn does a superman dive across the pocket to deflect Peppers just enough to release Rodgers. It was game freaking over, but Chris Conte bites on the under route that was already covered and Cobb scores the go ahead TD. I will always hate Chris Conte. Below, is a pic of me and my wife that day. The shock the entire stadium felt was numbing. It think Connerbear was there as well. That year was the first year of Trestman, so the staff and Cutler were safe. This year, a house cleaning party may occur. On the other hand, Trubisky can become the Kingslayer, as they have dubbed Rodgers the king in the north. Trubisky, in turn, can save the jobs of Nagy and Pace by getting it done in a big game, but most importantly resurrect his career. Bear down!

Thank you! Mitch is athletic, but he's the worst RPO QB I've ever seen. On the flip side, he's really good at play action, rollouts and boots.
-
They can get it done by restructuring contracts and cutting dead weight. They also can use the tag.
-
I'm already on record that I want him back for two years while we draft for the future.
-
I don't think anyone wants to crown him except the media. It's funny how that worm has turned. We will not crown his ass, lol. My final judgement on Trubisky will be Sunday. We know he can play winning football of things are good around him. What want to see is if he can rise to the occasion on a big night. Last big opportunity he had like this was when we lost to Philly in the playoffs. He didn't play well that game, but did put us in position for the double doink. I don't believe he will ever be worthy of the spot he was chosen, as he simply has never put the team on his back. Can he? Sure. Will he? Meh...

We find out next week if our defense has any left in the testicles. That makes the game even. After that, we know if we are worthy.

Man, I hope that's not the way it is, but it is plausible. Nagy couldn't do it, so he should understand that Mitch has his strengths and weaknesses.
-
Yea, it's crazy that we may be fighting to keep him, lol.

NYC, if Wims clears out the LB, Trubisky has 48.2% greater chance at hitting Kmet for a TD. ???

To answer the question of the thread; yes Trubisky is different. He is finally in a situation where an offensive gameplay is tailored to his strengths instead of Nagy's. Nagy truly needs a huge bitchslap for jacking with Mitch the last 3 years. What we are seeing is Trubisky in his natural element. He's able to find confidence with a type of offense that he's able to command. He's earned another year or two with the Bears. Terms should be creative so the team and Mitch get the contract commensurate to the results of play. He is who he is and we can win with him. He just won't be a Rodgers type apex predator QB.

That's the thing that may damn him. You have to at least have the threat of it in your game. Watch Brees throw under coverage 95 percent of the time, then bam! That's why he stays successful. Trubisky was highly rated for the deep ball coming out of college, so there is a chance he relaxes enough one day to regain the touch. IMO, it's all between his ears.

I don't know about that. Wims kinda dicks that up with his route. You can't rifle it because the LB can tip it and both safeties are not fooled at all. There is a tiny windowat best. Now, if Wims drives through the LB, pulling him a little left, there is a window for money to catch gather and plow.

1st round draft picks data and picking high vs low

1st round draft picks data and picking high vs low

The math in the equation is correct, you are simply using the wrong equation. -
Love the over and over again part. Why reinvent the wheel every play? If you make multiple variations of every play, then hit them with the bazinga portion of the route tree, bingo.

1st round draft picks data and picking high vs low

That's not how the math plays out. -
Which of his 6 incompletions do you want to criticize besides the pick? He has been a top 10 quarterback since he returned. What else do you want? On top of that, how much better is Montgomery and the OL?
-
He actually had multiple reads a few times yesterday. Those things come with time and confidence. The OL has been hot garbage. Bill Lazor has made all the difference in the world. They are finally tailoring the gameplan to the skill set of the team. Nagy's ego would not allow the round peg to go in the round hole.

Mitch made that terrible throw in the endzone and it wasn't even a terrible decision. He underthrew the ball by 5 feet. Bolts couldn't even get back to it to prevent the pick. On the other hand, Kyler Murray gets praised for his terrible, ill advised, throw in the endzone, where Fitzgerald makes a fantastic catch. I'm tired of the Mitch bashing. He's averaged 31 f'n points a game. Before that, we were begging for a score.

Same old Mitch? Winning Mitch? 33 points a game Mitch? 98 QB rating Mitch? Playoff contention Mitch? How bout new Mitch? Agreed on D.
