Travel plans weren't too big of a deal. My main problem is that he does not have his team ready to play. It's also bothersome that he didn't have a clue how bad his OL was going to start the season. How do you show up with a complacent pre season, in your second season. That's after winning coach of the year. That's pretty cocky for a second year coach. Every Sunday, if you don't fight with everything you have, you will lose. Leno and Massey were decent last year. What happened? Complacency, overconfidence? It's certainly not age or injury. Did they not know Long was washed up. They would have known if they tested him. Then there's play calling...

After five weeks, I've seen enough to point the finger squarely at Nagy. From not playing starters in preseason to be being the only coach to take his team to London that late, he is constantly showing that he is overconfident. Meanwhile the Raiders were 0-2 in London and decided to take his team earlier than anyone else did. What we see the next 11 games will also be on Nagy. Heading back from lunch. More to come later...

The o line has gotten better week by week. Hopefully the trend continues.

The biggest difference to me was the fear. The 85 team brutalized other teams. If the current team played by the same rules as 85, there would be that same fear.

I don't believe we are trying to be KC. They are literally faster at every skill position on offense. Looking at our offensive skill positions, we look sturdier. I like what we are doing, but unless we can hit some big plays teams are going to dare us to get past them. That's ok with me as long as we can grind. That's all our defense needs.

Our defense has been utterly dominant in the first half of games this year. They have given up 13 points total. That sets the tone and allows us to dictate the second half of games. They should stay dominant against Oakland, then go on to the bye week and get healthy. As long as the offense progresses, thus team is a contender.

We must hit on some deep passes for any chance of holes opening up.

They moved Daniels to center because he's the better athlete for that position. It takes playing time to learn to make the correct call based on what you see the defense do. His lack of playing time have him baptism by fire. The OL has looked better every week as a result. Look for more improvement today against a tough defensive front. If we end the first quarter of the season with a 3-1 record and improving OL unit, the other three quarters will be ok. I trust Hiestand a lot.

I don't agree with moving Whitehair back to center. Daniels will be fine. Our cocky coach didn't play them in pre-season. Hopefully Long picks it up soon. He didn't get a lot of work in the pre-season either.

I watched the entire game. Howard only gained yards on holes you could drive a bus through. The rookie made some really good runs. The pass Howard caught for a TD, literally no-one was guarding him. Stats can tell a huge lie. That being said, I would've liked him on my fantasy team last night.

Nobody respected Howard on that pass TD and they have a rookie starting over him. Plus Wentz hardly has any passing yards. You are just trolling on this one...?

After three games, it is clear to me that the OL unit rested on the laurels of last year. I'm not concerned because there has been steady improvement from week to week. Daniels will be fine at center once he gets his calls right. Leno looks he didn't work at all in camp, but is battling. Long looks very rusty, hopefully not washed up. My main thought is that Nagy had the entire offensive side of the team not ready for the start of the season. Looks like he's righting the ship weekly.

I'm looking forward to Trubisky getting unleashed. At least I'm hoping that for his confidence. That pass to Gabriel was a dime!

Fangio and Pagano coached together. No drop off was expected on defense. Fangio is a good coach, but all good coaches need talent for their scheme.

The Amos INT was actually a perfectly placed ball. I watched that play over and over. The receiver got caught up and couldn't get upright to make a play. But the ball was exactly where it needed to be. The Rodgers touchdown was the exact opposite, in which the defender got his feet on the wrong position and couldn't make a play. Both throws were ill advised with opposite results. And the difference in the game. If our receiver doesn't stumble, we would be talking about Mitch's brass balls.

We get to face a Vic Fangio defense next week.

For the record, Mack had a great game. He either caused or was within half a step of all 5 sacks. He was also held on 4 of them. Something needs done with the lack of holding calls, otherwise it negates what we are trying to do on defense. My 13 year old son called about twenty of them last night that were legit.

That wasn't a bad play call. If Long picks his man up instead of worrying about the delayed blitz, it's very likely a good completion to Robinson. Terrible, terrible fundamental mistake by Long. You are right that it summarized the game. The OL was pitiful. A very complacent effort.

Yeah, I read where we are 0-3 when Trubisky passes that much and 10-2 when the running backs carry 30+. Coach got too cute.

I can't remember a more deflating loss. I was looking for a highly competitive game from both teams. Even though the game was close, both teams looked like shite. Nagy was way overconfident with the way he prepared his team. Make no mistake, Pagano had his boys ready to go. Trubisky looked like a rookie again. He couldn't go through a progression to save his ass. It was clear that he needed pre season reps. He has to show us something this year or he honestly doesn't have it. Last year, Nagy lived off the element of surprise in the first game but had nothing for the second half in an ugly loss. This year, he got cocky and had NOTHING in a complete humiliation. The Bears are now the laughing stock of the NFL...again! It's any given Sunday and the lowest level coaches should know it. How did Nagy not? I'm looking for the defense to play even better next week, because they know they are the only chance this team has at a playoff berth. The offense will need to rebound quickly to alleviate some of the pressure that is on the defense. It will see stacked boxes and blitzes until it is beaten. I only hope that our offensive is not tied to Trey Burton being on the field. Otherwise, the entire off season was a huge mistake in not addressing a depth player like him. This year will define Nagy and Trubisky.
