I know this is beating a dead horse, but Pace has absolutely killed us with his frivolous trading of picks. It not only effects the pipeline of talent, but the salary cap as well. We really need to hit on these next two drafts or we are in big trouble. That being said, I'm all in on trading down. If we can get 5 third rounders for our two 2nd rounders that would be a coup. Not much difference in talent for much greater value.

Completely disagree. Leno had a terrible year, no doubt. But, he has played better in the past and can do so again. He is simply a player that has to work harder than the rest to be effective. If he trains harder this off season, he can regain form.
-
Yup
-
One thing Kyle said, is that Leno knows he has to work extra hard to be an NFL caliber tackle. IE: talent is marginal and he needs to make up for it with extra effort. Again, if Hiestand wasn't bought in, that makes it really tough for a guy on the bubble.
-
I think that's why Hiestand is gone.
-
He didn't say any of that, ever.
-
In regards to Massie, he was speaking mainly of run game dominance. Kyle definitely took some veiled shots at Nagy in repeatedly stressing that they needed to establish power running if they were gong to help Trubisky. He also stated that Jay Cutler is one of the coolest people on earth and one tough SOB. He also stated that Cutler in his prime would have not fared better than Trubisky last year.

I've been listening to Kyle all morning. He's going to be in for 2 more days. Interesting things he said: Bobby Massie is a stalwart right tackle when healthy, Daniels is a pro bowl talent at guard, Whitehair is the true center and vocal leader of the OL and that Leno is like a coach on the field. On Hiestand, he and Nagy never clicked and that Juan Castillo is a perfect fit for Nagy, because he has his trust.

In the last 20 years, 3 offensive teams have won it all. I'm going niners because their defense is top 5 of those Superbowl defenses of the last 20. It's crazy though because that Chiefs offense is ridiculous.
-
I'm giving him a chance. He has all of the tools. Sometimes the talent and tools align a little later than others.
-
I would for a two year deal. Our OL would probably kill Brady though.
-
I'm all in on OL. That has not nor will not change. The debate between speed WR and TE is philosophical. My belief is that you must at least create some doubt with the DB's. If you can do that, then they are not as quick to hammer the underneath stuff. The D coordinator is also less likely to blitz. There are equally good arguments for TE. Maybe we can do both, then we'll all be happy.
-
I'm still there for OL. Just not TE.
-
I like both of them and may be the lone proponent of a blazing fast wr. IMO, it's more important than TE. Burton will be back along with Horsted and Holtz. We can even use Patterson in a pinch. Kansas City has 3 or 4 guys faster than our fastest and it shows.

Lol, they don't advertise their algorithm. My guess is that it's based on how they have players ranked plus team needs.
-
Here's a fun draft. I decided to see how many trades I could make using our 2 second rounders. Ended up with 7 third rounders, lol.
-
I'm really thinking that trading down is in our interest this draft. Lots of good value in 3rd-6th rounds.
-
That's an interesting thought. I haven't pictured him in the OLB role. Not sure if he has the size, but he is a tazmanian devil of a player.
-
They don't want Ebron back in Indy. They also have 100mil on cap space. He's an absolute no for me.
-
I like your thought process on this. Take that OT first or second, with edge next out value is there. I've really been researching wide receivers and believe we can draft a couple of blazers in the 4-6 rounds. Mix that in with a couple of DB'S and a RB and we're done. I've been playing the draft game as well. Finding a trade down partner early so we can get extra picks in the 3rd and 4th round brings a ton of value in our needs category.
-
That's crazy! I never wrote anything like that. Not sure how that got in my drafts. Funny though...
-
Lol, I thought the same earlier in the day, but didn't have time to come up with something witty.
-
Here's the one I want. I'm still a firm believer that this is the most pressing need on offense, outside of OL. A new TE will not open the field.
