I remember that Burton had a little tweak in practice. Later it was announced that he was out and it was a surprise to the staff. (Sort of staying that his body locked up) Also some anxiety was talked about and that it happened in Philly as well.

I think this is a BS story. Hernias are easy to diagnose, treat and explain. The fact that a spin is coming out 5 months later is confusing.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this defense has a chance to be historically good. And it all starts with... drum roll... Mitchell Trubisky. If Mitch makes the next progression he starts hitting those wide open receivers on the deep routes. That opens up everything from the screens, crossing routes and especially running game. This will give Nagy the ability to step on throats the way he wants, whether it be to score quickly to allow or D to pin its ears back or sustained drives to give them rest. With Roquan and Mack getting a full training camp, Haha playing with a chip, Eddie being healthy and Floyd coming into his own, this D wow! The other players just need to play at their usual level. Just pray for Mitch and the health of this D.

Gotta say, I do find it comical in a way. I do totally agree with on Pace. Kickers don't define GM's.

If Ha Ha is a player we like, I don't see why he's gone in everyone's eyes. If he's a keeper, it can be done.

That was on the recap. He is absolutely going to name the guy he picked. Knowing now that they were going RB, Pace made a great move to get in front of them.

I didn't see any evidence, other than the post commentary, to suggest Singletary was there guy. For all we know, they wanted Montgomery and didn't trade because they thought we may go RB with it.

This defense may be generational NASTY. Floyd, Clinton-Dix and Trevathan are playing for new deals, with the other studs... yikes

From the looks of a good bounty of UDFA's, guys want to be a Bear!

First off, I really like discussing football with Jason. (Especially when I'm right ?) Back to Jordan Howard. He was a team guy until the end. He worked on what they asked, never complained and went his way graciously. Good organizations see that and reward exiting players to a good situation where they can continue and thrive. (Resulting in a little less return) If I'm a current Bear and friend of Jordan, I'm respecting the hell out of my GM and coach over it.

Overall, I like the pick a lot. However, at some point, Pace is going to have to show some discipline in future drafts. He has traded up 6 times in 4 drafts. Gotta move to the trade down phase when you have a good team and you lose good vets to salary constraints. Picks become premium at that point, as you can't buy your way out of trouble.

How about starting day 3 with Deonte Thompson?

His vision and patience is outstanding. Kinda reminds me of Le'Veon Bell.

Essentially, it was Fox that let Pace know he was killing chance of building the locker room and to get him out of here.

Since we do have those rights to the FA kickers, Pace has put himself in a great position to land Gould. I'm seeing a 7th round pick for next year and SF's choice of the current kickers we have. I truly don't care if Gould takes less or gets paid market value. (What did Gostkowksi get?) He is the lone missing need on the roster. His presence alone will chance confidence level of offense, opponents defensive game planning (due to them knowing we will kick a fifty yarder if we chose. Making them D up for short yardage or yard to gain situations) This gives Nagy the flexibility to less predictable in those situations. All in all, signing Gould will take a lot of tightness out of various situations.

Cap cuts will be coming after teams draft. How much money do we have at this point?

My guess is that he has at least 5-8 backs he would jump on in various rounds.
