  1. We'll be lucky to have 2.
  2. Oh, he knows that. His comment was between speed WR and TE. Everybody knows it's OL one way or another.
  3. This is not a defense of Mitch, but I would love to see what he could do if he had either one their offensive lines and receivers. Trust me, it's not even close. Give KC credit for drafting Mahomes. If everyone else knew what they knew, he would have gone sooner. I personally hate the comparisons because nobody knew. Trubisky was the consensus #1 QB for that draft. Knowing who was picked where and who was right about who doesn't mean anything. I was drinking and playing the hindsight game, because the grass is always greener on the other side. I always feel guilty after doing that because I know it's dumb. Funny thing is; there are guys just like us that still have their respective teams in the playoffs thinking, "what if we had that guy?".
  4. If the field doesn't get stretched, nothing works easily underneath.
  5. The one thing I hope Pace noticed is that every team that has won so far has a receiver or two that can take the top off a defense. We have zero. It's not likely to happen via free agency, as there aren't many out there. KC has 3 receivers 4.4 or less and Kelce at 4.6. To me that is the priority right behind the OL. Don't be surprised if we take one early. The defense will be solid without too much investment. The offense has to come up this year.
  6. So, I'm feeling a little ornery right now watching SF dominate the Queens. Reminiscing the trade that brought us Trubisky and losing the 67 and 111 picks, as well as a 2018 third rounder. I haven't looked at who SF drafted with those three picks, but I do know they drafted George Kittle in the 5th round the same draft that we drafted Adam Shaheen in the 2nd. Bet we could've drafted a really good OL with that pick. The consolation kick in the nuts is that if we don't do the trade with SF, we may have gotten stuck with Mahomes. ? Back to my Sailor Jerry
  7. The best line of the article went something like "they need to decide if they want an upgrade Trubisky or make his supporting cast better." I think this summarizes what NYC and AZ stated above. My opinion on that is to upgrade the supporting cast. If Montgomery runs for 1200 yards, we win 11-12 games. It's that simple. It frees up play action and chews up the clock so the D can rest. Mediocre QB's win this way.

  9. I love the first 5. Don't like the last five. Fuller can't tackle, so he's not a box player. I would've doubled down on edge rushers and DB's before the extra OL.
  10. I'm so glad you didn't kiss Watson's ass for that miracle play he had. He was literally on his way to the ground when the other defender hit him to stand him back up. Why don't people wrap anymore. Two big hits and no wrap on that play and Watson is Michael Jordan. Rant over.
  11. I took Reagor because he is that 4.3 guy we desperately need. I get it though.
  12. I played the draft game for the first time. Here's how it went.
  13. I like this move, but like trading future picks this can be harmful later down the road.
  14. Jokes aside, I did not want Ebron. He's productive at times and at other times has very hurtful drops. I'll take sure hands and trust over whatever upside he has.
  15. This was coming regardless of any cap issues. I'm just glad it got done now so it can take from this year whatever it can.
  16. Stone hands with talent...
  17. I watched the presser again today and it really looked like Nagy and page we were on the same page. They were both very non committal, except for their support of Mitch.
  18. Did anyone hear Dave Gettleman speak on Trubisky today on ESPN? It was pretty damning. He essentially said that the book on Trubisky is out, saying he can't throw deep to his left. They game planned him knowing his deficiencies. He said, at this point, a vet has to come in and compete and in no way he would have publicly endorsed Trubisky the way Pace did. Nagy risks losing the team if Trubisky is handed the job. This is the first active GM gong on record with this opinion.
  19. Hold on for a second. I rarely disagree with you, but damn. Patterson was only there for one year and they already had Gronk. Saying BB failed to convert him is a monster stretch. Considering that they have never developed a rookie receiver to contribute in their first year tells all you need to know about BB on that regard. I see nothing to suggest that Patterson can't play 20+ snaps a game at the TE and H position.
  20. There were actually some things in this game I loved. Nagy played to win with his starters. In doing so, he sends a clear message or two. One: as bad as you sucked this year, you are going to grind this one out and show me some heart. Two: who wants to be on this damn team next year? I also loved the way our OL pushed Monty into the end zone. It's the first time I've seen this effort all year. As bad as the OL has played all year, it lets them know they can get it done with a little heart. Trubisky had the have in his hands and made a huge 4th down play.(Build that confidence) Lastly, we end the season on a game winning FG. Ugly, ugly game with some things to build on.
