  1. I could never imagine Eric Reid as a Bear. He's a good football player, but...
  2. Ifedi and Spriggs have lost their pedigree. They better come in in -shape and hungry. Leno must be put on notice. He has to work his ass off to be average. Will cast offs be enough to motivate him? I'd be smoking a cigar right now if I were him.
  3. Nor did we draft anyone that can merely challenge him, let alone motivate.
  4. I was getting sarcastic did to my wanting OT early.
  5. If they draft OT in the 7th, I will hate Pace forever.
  6. He traded a 4th to get a guy in the 5th. He's rated the 166th best player and we have the 163rd pick. SMH. He just can't help himself. BTW-I've been mocking him too, so I'm definitely rooting for him.
  7. Clearly from our first two picks Pace is drafting to win now. The reason I wanted to draft an OT high is for the same reason. For starters, teams that draft OL early and often generally have a good to great OL. We simply don't find enough time in that slot. Bobby Massie is reaching the age and attrition where he is going to miss games and/or fall off on production. (IE: last year) Then, we move to Charles Leno. Some say it was the wedding. Some say it's the baby. Fact is, he didn't put in the work and basically stole his paycheck last year. He is a marginal athlete which makes his dedication in the weight room essential. You can tell from many of his breakdowns that he wss cheating his craft because he didn't have the strength to hold his technique. Some say, why draft an OT early when we don't have many pics? He's not going to start anyway. My answer is this. Who do you want motivating Leno to work hard to keep his job. Who do you want coming off the bench when Massie gets hurt? Who do you want protecting your quarterback, especially if we draft a new one next year? Pace must stop moving up in the draft. He's cost us the equivalent of an entire draft on his short tenure. That is the sole reason we don't have the core strength at our depth positions. The only way I'll accept him doing that again, is if he somehow can get Trent Williams.

    Cole Kmet

TE was never on my shopping list after signing Graham and the other guy. However, I like Kmet. Great breakdown.
  9. That's what softened my stance. Not Hub, the picks.
  10. I'm softening my stance. I don't hate Kmet, just disappointed we didn't get an OT. Jaylon Johnson is a stud. Love the Colts draft...
  11. Josh Jones is the only one they would trade up for. You would think... But, please keep our picks Pace!
  12. I'm hoping for multiple options at our picks, so Pace can perform minor trade downs. So much talent left in our need box.
  13. Not sure. Maybe Reich promised to give him time to heal. Who really knows.
  14. I get it. When I traded back there were 4 first round graded receivers left. Low and behold the three I wanted most went bang bang bang, lol.(not to mention OT) Shenault is probably the most talented of all the receivers, so getting him in the second was worth the risk.
  15. They can cut him and they are out nothing. Reich knows him and wants to kick the tires.
  16. Good! According to an article in Bear Goggles, the Bears save a bunch of money if he signs. I'll try to find and attach. Chicago Bears: 5 Potential landing spots for Trey Burton and why it matters
  17. I completely hate this line of thought and I usually agree with you. We should draft an OT high in this draft regardless of any money or performance argument. I don't care if the new OT doesn't start. That means Leno and Massie stepped up. If they don't step up, I don't want a late round development project coming in to be our hero. That's the mindset that got us Leno in the first place. He does not have the talent to make up for a bad day.(a high quality pick does) In addition, we need to build for a future without our current duds.
