  1. The head against the brick wall should be all you glean, as I already explained the flaw in logic ad nauseam. I like the banter except for when it takes too long.
  2. Plus, he gets to start for a year to earn his next check. At the minimum, he has an opportunity that he would not get in Tampa. Maximum is he'll have a long career as a starter. The solid is that he'll have a long career in the NFL.
  3. Stingers post reminded me of the Bill Walsh piece I saw on NFL NETWORK.
  4. Hey, you're the second person today to put fake words in my mouth. And Congrats! You have a new quarterback to unabashedly hate...
  5. All this is a perfect segway into Bill Walsh. He had no problem with unconventional drafting and trading. That's how you eve up with Jerry Rice. Walsh took a ton of crap for that trade up because Jerry ran a 4.7. Walsh's statement was simply stated that he watched film and never saw Jerry caught from behind...
  6. Absolutely not arguing against myself. If you think they didn't dummy things down a little, you are sadly mistaken. He played well, but what suffered as a result of limitations as a unit? It trickles all the way to what plays are able to be called. It goes way deeper than that. OL have their own language so they can communicate on the field. That stuff takes time. They don't have Rosetta Stone for that.
  7. Me too. Where did you make that up? We did have 5 starters last year that look to be starters this year. The same five guys that got the bulk of the reps when not injured.
  8. No, it's the worst time. Brand new QB has more to worry about than an OL that is gelling. Not to mention that Trubisky would greatly benefit from it next year. Then, if we do draft our LT next year we only have one piece that needs work. I'll stand corrected if they make the change, but don't anticipate it.
  9. We have. And you have obviously have never been an OL. Leapfrogging, as you say, is a completely new position using a different side of body with new techniques, duties and trust factors. Believe me, it takes multiple seasons. It would honestly be better to leave it alone and draft an LT next year.
  10. I would like to leave it alone. Cohesion is paramount in OL production. They were decent last year and were 80% different from the prior year. I really think our OL will be on blast this year...
  11. Damn son, you are better than Larry Mayer! One outstanding, well thought out post after another. Great job...
  12. Funny thing though. If we traded back to get Allen at 17, we would have been able to net our entire draft where they went.
  13. If so, hopefully the next Anthony Munoz is in this class.
  14. Same here. I do have to say I've had a good feeling on Trubisky all along. I'm not happy with the price we had to pay, but glad we paid it. All the other guys have explosive talent and pop on film as being superior. Don't know anything about the OT. Since they coached him at the senior bowl, they got a great look. Hopefully that was a big advantage.
  15. Not on a regular basis. But, you remember when they tried running Wolfe inside and we all complained? The Bears thought if he could break one from the inside that the outside would open. Not the same guy, no matter the comp.
  16. No. He has much more power. This dude can actually run inside.
  17. No. He has much more power. This dude can actually run inside.
  18. Cmon, get back in camp son! Pace is getting it done...
  19. Gotta get over that bro...
  20. Dude is a physical freak! Listen you pussies, it doesn't take long to develop a f'n TE! He will contribute this year...
  21. I've always hated the chart. In no way one player is worth an entire draft. Especially with out of the gate success rates.
  22. Yes, he's a powerful left tackle. He'll need more footwork to succeed at LT, but is a day one starter at RT.
  23. Can would be a good pick.
  24. There are still teams desperate for a QB. Can we get some picks for him?
