  1. There are still teams desperate for a QB. Can we get some picks for him?
  2. Yeah, it definitely was a strategic thing. Pace obviously wanted Trubisky, while Lynch had Thomas in his sights. Lynch definitely won big in netting extra picks. Time will tell if Paces determination will pay off or stagnate our development as a franchise. I was a Trubisky guy all the way, so my rep is tied to Pace now. Pace got it right last year. Let's hope he stays on a roll.
  3. That's bullshit. Do you honestly think they didn't have this scenario planned?
  4. Good value still out there with TE and DB.
  5. Now that we've thrown in on QB, the strength of the draft remains DB and TE. We also have big name defenders falling. Can we get a Jonathan Allen our Malik Hooker in the 2nd?
  6. Nah. There brass bought in on this way before tonight. Count on it...
  7. I don't mind trading down. If it's me, I wait until we are on the clock. I think the browns take Garrett at one, but would love Trubisky at 3. It's a gamble because of SF needing a QB desperately. Mocks are also coming in with Trubisky coming in at 1...
  8. Also if one of them take quarterback Solomon Thomas is in the mix as well.
  9. Your score is: 15722 (GRADE: A+) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 14 (PHI): Jamal Adams, SS, LSU (A+) Round 2 Pick 4: Patrick Mahomes II, QB, Texas Tech (A-) Round 2 Pick 7 (NYJ): Garett Bolles, OT, Utah (A) Round 2 Pick 8 (CAR): Budda Baker, FS, Washington (B+) Round 2 Pick 11 (PHI): T.J. Watt, OLB/DE, Wisconsin (B+) Round 3 Pick 3: Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida (A) Round 3 Pick 6 (NYJ): Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama (A) Round 3 Pick 35 (PHI): Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina (A+) Round 4 Pick 4: David Sharpe, OT, Florida (A) Round 4 Pick 10: Dede Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma (A) Round 5 Pick 3: Rasul Douglas, CB, West Virginia (A) uhh Round 7 Pick 3: Avery Moss, DE, Youngstown State (B-) No way we could get this lucky...
  10. Here is my final draft. And I love it. Adams Mahommes Melifonwu Douglas Leggett Brown Golliday I didn't address OT or pass rush, but fixed our secondary for the next decade. Drafted a young talent to groom at QB. Shored up the TE and ILB position. And brought in a local guy.
  11. Winston has an elite arm. Watson, not so much. He gets it done with intangibles...
  12. See above. I liked most of your draft, so I didn't spend much time.
  13. Disagree to a point. If the brass believes a QB to be franchise quality but believe he needs time to groom. It is a good move and solid practice. As bad as we are with developing QB's , this approach has not been attempted.(I think ever)
  14. I would give our 2nd for him. Pair that with drafting Hooker or Adams with our first and we have the best backfield in the NFC. Now, we spend the rest of the draft making our offense strong enough to grind it out.
  15. I was wondering with all the Sherman trade talk; What are they asking for him? I'm thinking too much. At 29, he still has many years left. I also think once he loses a step that he would be a phenomenal FS. He's probably one of the smartest players I've seen. Then there's the mouth... Let it rip fellas!
  16. I'm thinking defense as well. Too many unknowns at QB, TE, add WR. I think the OL will be vastly improved with the health of Long and a year of seasoning for Massie, Whitehair and Sitton, due to them being new to the system. Leno should be better as he gains experience. My wish list for our first pick is Hooker, Adams and Thomas respectively.
  17. I have always said a team should have an identity. Teams usually win with a dominant side of the ball. Rarely does a team win a championship without either. That being said, the brass wants our identity to be a dominant defensive team with a ball control offense winning the time of possession battle. What is the best path to establishing the goal, now that we've filled holes in FA? Let's pose a draft strictly on that...
  18. I know they considered moving to Gary at one time.
  19. I think it all depends on his past and the person they know him as in the locker room.
