  1. There is no bad if Glennon blows up. Trubisky would still be coveted by Cleveland. Hell you could even trade him before the deadline if you wanted. Your QB situation is solved and you have an arsenal of draft picks for next season. Now you can start drafting BPA and making pin point FA strikes on your way to the Superbowl.

At least wait for mini camp before you start, lol

And I no longer trust Polian. He talks out of both sides of his mouth these days. Don't get me wrong, he is greatest football exec of all time; but nothing more than media now.
  4. Damn it sucks to hope your team improved enough to draft at 12. Lol. That's the reality of where we are though.

    Jaye Howard

I just read that he signed a 1 year deal, but can't find it now.
  6. I get your point, but if your team is not diverse in talent, then you become a one trick pony.

Nothing but fun poking at you. Kinda like Cutler. Don't read too deep into it. Simply stating that if Watson is successful and Trubisky is not, we'll here from you. A lot...

This is going to be fun, or not, for one of us. I'll take Trubisky, you take Watson. BTW, I like them both. When I made my unabashedly hate comment, it was a dig for a situation like this. You were against Trubisky so any failure or success of his will come to light with ties to Watson. Let's play...

Adam, you are our digger! That's a compliment BTW...
  10. Bottom Line With his combination of functional strength and body control, Whitehair might be one of the safest offensive linemen in the entire draft. He will almost assuredly be bumped inside to guard, but could be considered at center as well. He has the confidence and talent to start right away and his run blocking should improve as he gets more comfortable firing out from a three-point stance. Whitehair has the ability to be a very good starter with a ceiling that could reach the all-pro level.

  12. Because you don't pay that for a non QB. Lynch did well weather he got his guy or not. They had 3 players slotted and 2 were there for him at 3. Lynch is still smiling...
  13. The head against the brick wall should be all you glean, as I already explained the flaw in logic ad nauseam. I like the banter except for when it takes too long.
  14. Plus, he gets to start for a year to earn his next check. At the minimum, he has an opportunity that he would not get in Tampa. Maximum is he'll have a long career as a starter. The solid is that he'll have a long career in the NFL.
  15. Stingers post reminded me of the Bill Walsh piece I saw on NFL NETWORK.
  16. Hey, you're the second person today to put fake words in my mouth. And Congrats! You have a new quarterback to unabashedly hate...
  17. All this is a perfect segway into Bill Walsh. He had no problem with unconventional drafting and trading. That's how you eve up with Jerry Rice. Walsh took a ton of crap for that trade up because Jerry ran a 4.7. Walsh's statement was simply stated that he watched film and never saw Jerry caught from behind...
  18. Absolutely not arguing against myself. If you think they didn't dummy things down a little, you are sadly mistaken. He played well, but what suffered as a result of limitations as a unit? It trickles all the way to what plays are able to be called. It goes way deeper than that. OL have their own language so they can communicate on the field. That stuff takes time. They don't have Rosetta Stone for that.
  19. Me too. Where did you make that up? We did have 5 starters last year that look to be starters this year. The same five guys that got the bulk of the reps when not injured.
  20. No, it's the worst time. Brand new QB has more to worry about than an OL that is gelling. Not to mention that Trubisky would greatly benefit from it next year. Then, if we do draft our LT next year we only have one piece that needs work. I'll stand corrected if they make the change, but don't anticipate it.
  21. We have. And you have obviously have never been an OL. Leapfrogging, as you say, is a completely new position using a different side of body with new techniques, duties and trust factors. Believe me, it takes multiple seasons. It would honestly be better to leave it alone and draft an LT next year.
