  1. Just saying that he's, quite possibly, the lesser of two evils. He's solid, but not at all spectacular. Fox knows this team is devoid. Mariani will not be the return guy next year.
  2. He's not fumbling and making mistakes. The opposite would be catastrophic to any building process right now.
  3. We have much bigger fish to fry.
  4. That's not even close to what Luck is worth.
  5. I agree with the assessment IF... and only IF, they think that QB will be that guy. GB was astounded that Rodgers fell to them. If that happens for us, so be it...
  6. It's amazing how spot on the scouting report was on him. He's still the same QB he always has been. We can win with him, we just can not win despite him.
  7. One more thing. Megatron's 50 yard catch was pass interference. He had his hands on our DB for ten yards. He clearly kept him from having the ability to make a play. I don't get bent out of shape very often, but that game got me....
  8. Alshon was rusty. Bennett was plain bad. Royal was a stud. Forte drives me nuts in short yardage situations. No pass rush = horrible secondary coverage. Play calling was overly conservative. Officiating was atrocious. All negatives aside. The team fought hard and was in it till the end.
  9. The part that gets me is that the call was argumentative at best. So, how do you go from that to conclusive for a reversal? IMO - the entire was shabbilly officiated and that crew should be reviewed by the home office.
  10. What did Nega-Tor say this time?
  11. I don't understand why Claussen still has a gig. It's almost foregone that your team will lose when he starts.
  12. The Colts have nothing behind Gore. They would sign over their first born for Forte.
  13. I truly believe he should be held out of this game and use the bye to get fully ready. In the off season, I would not get into a contract situation that pays him like a top receiver. He has been far too injury prone to be paid as such.
  14. Wait, Fangio likes him and we have a thread dedicated to loving Fangio? Hmm, looks like the plot is thickening...
  15. This all reminds me of the "Kevin Bacon" game. You can connect mother Theresa to Hitler using stats and lies. Trestman has always been respected as an OC.
  16. It may happen sooner than we all think. We have a boatload of money and a bunch of young talent. It may come to pass that our guys are better than we thought and they just needed coached up. I've been optimistic before and been let down, but this is the best staff the Bears have ever assembled. And let us not hold our breath, but Jay Cutler has game winning drives in back to back weeks!
  17. I'm liking what I see from Goff lately...

All of this and Shae is not being repeatedly ripped either...
  19. I get the skepticism. It's just not something I agree with on a Bears level. He's the best we have with no other challenger. We can't continually compare him to QB's he'll never be. Sure, his pick almost cost us the game. But he's also the reason we had a chance. The 47 other guys have to chip in.
  20. Agreed on the players we just traded. We were talking about Allen's contract and how we could not effectively cut him, now we get someone to take the contract and give us a pick. Total win win. On Bostic, many thought he would not make it out of camp. Lucky for us, he did and now we get another pick. On Forte: I love the guy, but everyone knows this will probably be his last year as a Bear. So, if you can get another good pick for him, you have to do it. It would make this team better next year in 2 different ways. 1) You get to work your back/s of the future. 2) You get another pick(most likely a higher one because he was traded)
  21. Lol, so true. Remember last year when I told everyone that my nephews team didn't even gameplan for him in college. He has athletic ability, but zero instincts.
  22. Or that Dallas knew Romo would be out X amount if games because they know how long it takes the clavicle to heal. In the meantime, the Bears doctors don't know the extent of the hamstring pull, so they err to the side of caution and get Jay into an ice bath because they know the sooner they can stop the bleeding or swelling is the best option. Haters just hate and don't look through other eyes.
  23. Gotta go with Wesson on that one. He's 4-5 yards off the LOS. If he pops that TE, the receiver gets whacked too. IMO, he's played ok. Just ok.
