It doesn't matter. Cutler is a point and shoot guy and is the antithesis of a system guy. That's why you'll never see sustained greatness with him. You can win with him, but not because of him in the long term, because he'll kill you when you least expect it.
  2. I don't think our ST coach had a chance. We had so many new people in new positions, it was almost impossible to field a good unit. Rookie punter, new long snapper, no Hester, new scheme, new gunners, new non OL blockers. We got better as the season progressed and will be better this year.
  3. Agreed. We all know it didn't make a difference in the Colts game, but what about the Ravens? The less air pressure, the lighter the ball too. The Ravens game could have swung on a play or two from this particular offence. That being said, the Ravens or Colts should potentially be playing in this game. Goodell has allowed this investigation to linger long enough to allow the Patriots to compete for the championship. What a black eye for the league. We are not talking about players smacking someone around anymore. We are taking about billion dollar corruption. All anyone in competition wants to hear or say, is that they won or lost "fair and square". Thanks for starting this post. I've been wanting to vent this all week...
  4. You can never have enough pass rushers. Since we currently are lacking, it's an easy pick...

    Gase is OC

We should only pray he leaves soon. Success will dictate that...
  6. I like the run to set up the pass approach too. Unfortunately, our OL is not up to snuff and Forte isn't the type of back to make up for that lack of talent anymore.
  7. It's time to part ways with marginal veterans. This team is old and overpaid for under production.
  8. Fuller was simply abused by a horrible coaching staff and equally bad front 7...lol
  9. You draft for a career, not the day.
  10. There are many reasons I love the hire of John Fox, but the way everything is occurring is what makes me enjoy this the most. We have already gained 3 people from 3 different respected teams. just think of the scouting expertise we just gained for pro personnel for free agency. Also look at the expertise we gained in scouting our opposition and the way they scouted us. There are other things I could say but gotta give you all a place to come in...
  11. Gives coaches credibility within their circle.
  12. I would bet money Pagano let's him interview. (For multiple reasons)
  13. Maybe some day, but not straight out of retirement.
  14. Why would he be? It would actually be dumb for him endorse him while not going through due diligence. In fact, you would probably be ripping his ass if he endorsed Jay without that same diligence. On a lighter note; I swear Fox referred to Jay as Jake twice in the presser. That made me laugh...
  15. Trent Richardson is as horrible as it gets. He was a "healthy scratch" for the playoffs. That's on a team depleted at that position. He will be available for sure. I pray we are not the dumb asses that give him a 3rd chance...
  16. I know I'm in the minority in wanting to trade Forte and Marshall. My whole point of it is to lower the cap while receiving additional draft picks. We had one of oldest rosters in the NFL last year. Also the slowest. Replacing a couple of aging stars, while having the ability to build a younger and stronger roster gives the opportunity to get back on the rise faster. I'm willing to sacrifice this season to make a huge jump the following year. I'm also on record of wanting to purge Allen and Houston. I keep hearing that cutting Allen will hurt, so that may not work. I also hope they interview some key vets to find out who the slackers and locker room turds were and show them the door regardless of cost.
  17. You can get a really good prospect with a 3rd.
  18. That's why I would trade Forte. It would give us extra salary cap room, plus the draft is loaded with stud running backs. I've also been on board with trading Marshall. The conundrum with that is he's the best blocking WR in the NFL. I'm all in for smash mouth. If we are stuck with Cutler, this is the way to go. Draft me 2 road grater OL as well please!
  19. Elizabeth! It's the big one. I'm coming to join you honey! Lol
  20. You guys make good points. Hopefully it works out for him.
  21. It's all because I don't think he's ready to make a 53 man roster. I just hate to see a Cinderella story from a very likable kid end in failure because he decided to cash in. Just think it would be a really poor decision if it turns that way.
  22. Good deal for fuller. I think O'Donnell made it by virtue of being the only rookie punter...
  23. So you don't think it will be higher if he busts his butt, wins the starting job and shows he can grow into the position? By SCS's account, he may not even start for Ohio state next year, but he's good enough to stick with a pro team. Couldn't disagree more. You know Al Davis it's dead right?
  24. He is slow to read a play, doesn't go through progressions well, has horrible mechanics and has almost zero experience. If he goes pro, it only shows he doesn't want to work for greatness and that he is dumb as a box of hammers for thinking he's ready. Buyer beware. Next year is a different story. Urban will tell him as much.
