  1. I would give our 2nd for him. Pair that with drafting Hooker or Adams with our first and we have the best backfield in the NFC. Now, we spend the rest of the draft making our offense strong enough to grind it out.
  2. I was wondering with all the Sherman trade talk; What are they asking for him? I'm thinking too much. At 29, he still has many years left. I also think once he loses a step that he would be a phenomenal FS. He's probably one of the smartest players I've seen. Then there's the mouth... Let it rip fellas!
  3. I'm thinking defense as well. Too many unknowns at QB, TE, add WR. I think the OL will be vastly improved with the health of Long and a year of seasoning for Massie, Whitehair and Sitton, due to them being new to the system. Leno should be better as he gains experience. My wish list for our first pick is Hooker, Adams and Thomas respectively.
  4. I have always said a team should have an identity. Teams usually win with a dominant side of the ball. Rarely does a team win a championship without either. That being said, the brass wants our identity to be a dominant defensive team with a ball control offense winning the time of possession battle. What is the best path to establishing the goal, now that we've filled holes in FA? Let's pose a draft strictly on that...
  5. I know they considered moving to Gary at one time.
  6. I think it all depends on his past and the person they know him as in the locker room.
  7. I hope so. I'm always rooting for hard workers to make it.
  8. Oh, it's definately hate for me, in the slang or bro talk sense. I am fully convinced Allen will not be "as advertised".
  9. Jake Dellhome took Carolina to the SB, so they may think they have enough with Glennon.
  10. He has nothing to offer...
  11. I'm saying no, unless it's too good to be true. Blowing your achilles out on your pro day does not give me any type of feeling this player will last the NFL grind. Also, we can find a really good starter in the 3rd and 4th round of the draft and we need all the help we can get.
  12. I disagree. I'm of the mindset that reps right out of the gate can be detrimental. My preference would be to groom the QB for awhile.
  13. If Trubisky is there at 3, I take him. Otherwise, trade down. I do not want Allen at 3.
  14. You are so correct. They pay Allen 1 mil less, but give up a 4th and 6th to do so. Dwayne Allen was loved in indy. Great locker room guy and man in the community. Marty B and his brother are both assholes.
  15. I think Whitehair may have been the best pick of our draft. The way he came in the last minute and excelled was remarkable. Of the 5 OL positions available to him, I feel he is least equipped to play LT. That being said, if Grasu shows he can play center at an above average level, I would try Whitehair at LT for a look. However, I think Cody could be an elite center. Pair that with Long and Sitton and you have something to talk about in the middle.
  16. Now that we've signed free agents, I'm going back in. Your score is: 13111 (GRADE: A) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 3: Myles Garrett, DE/OLB, Texas A&M (A+) Round 2 Pick 4: Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama (A) Round 3 Pick 14 (BALT): Kevin King, CB, Washington (A) Round 3 Pick 35 (BALT): Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama (A) Round 3 Pick 43 (NYJ): Jake Butt, TE, Michigan (A) Round 4 Pick 4: ArDarius Stewart, WR, Alabama ( Round 4 Pick 10: Jeremy McNichols, RB, Boise State (B-) Round 5 Pick 3: Davis Webb, QB, California (A+) Round 7 Pick 3: Jake Elliott, K, Memphis (B+) Your Future Picks: 2018 Round 1 Pick 2019 Round 1 Pick
  17. Cleveland is still the most inept franchise I've ever seen. I'm still holding out hope that they pass on Garrett and we have a shot. I would not be shocked.
  18. Nice work there. So much talent in this draft though.
  19. I like it. I still expect we draft 2 DB's with the depth of talent this year. Looking better inn secondary!
  20. I mentioned rushing yards and you use total yards to support your failed argument...
  21. You kill me sometimes. Yes, Forte rushed for 20 more yards in one season. But, he had 3 more starts and his YPC was career high and still less than Howard's.
