Why the defense will be better
Any DB we draft or sign will ok because of our front seven.

Massie signed to 4-yr Extension
I like it. He's been blue collar solid...

Draft plan
Pace has the luxury of only 4 picks. I know it's not a luxury, but narrowing of options does give him a clearer path to find his gems. I like his odds based on track record.

The Rams?
I would argue that the offense getting better is the number one priority. As the season progressed, we dipped in scoring and TOP. Notice our D faltered in the end to let the Eagles go ahead. To keep our D fresh, that to me is the key.

Defensive FA Targets
We are blessed to have the luxury of having high character top shelf athletes on every defensive unit. These players make ordinary players better, so success can be somewhat predictable with whoever we sign. It also means value signings will be very attainable. The key is sustainability while attrition occurs. Develop the next Hicks, Mack, Goldman, Smith, Jackson and Fuller. That's how the Ravens and Seahawks stay in the mix year after year.

Massie-yah or nay?
Continuity is key. So, yes at a fair price.

Draft plan
I'm not sure why I want to trade Howard, as I can't completely put my finger on it. It just seems more than not, that he is a square peg in this offense.

Draft plan
My draft plan is to: Trade Howard for a pick. Draft the next Trey Burton. Draft an OT. Draft a fast WR. Draft CB and S. Draft a quick RB with hands. Fill depth with FA's.

Also, we need a blow the lid off the defense receiver in the biggest way!

Draft plan
I would definitely trade him for a 3rd. Nagy will use anyone in the lineup to go for one yard. He would rather have another Cohen in the 4th round. We've all seen the decline in Howard's use, so why not get someone that can be more productive in our offense. I'm also in on picking up Kareem Hunt if he vets out.

Fangio Gone
Gonna miss Vic. Moving forward, I would be happy with Donatell, Bowles, or Williams.

Hot Wash SITREP
Vic already knows that Elway is an ass to work for, so this may be token interview for him. You gotta keep your name in the press if you want to stay relevant. If he turns Elway down, another shot will come and his stock will go up after we win the Superbowl. That's my gut thought on what happens.

Bears Free Agents
Parkey is a young talented kicker. From what I saw after the game, he's also a high character guy. I absolutely want to see him get a chance at redemption. A moment like Sunday will either galvanize or destroy him. High character guys, especially men of faith, have stronger abilities to be mentally stronger. I know that last comment may draw criticism, but I believe it to be true.

Bears Free Agents
Agreed on all except Miller. He was signed to rehab only. He does not affect the cap due to being a vet minimum. He's been a mentor and an inspiration. He should be offered a position somehow.

Silver Lining #1
My silver lining is Trubisky. He wasn't spectacular, but was a stud when it mattered. Huge confidence booster for him, all while learning that he must do more sooner to win in the playoffs. Hopefully he can turn to pain into fuel.

BPA again and again and again!

Impact of Trey Burton Injury
Two things that stick out to me regarding the Burton injury. 1) If he's that important, where's the contingency game plan? (If true, a clone must be found) 2) I read today, that Burton was largely responsible for creating mismatches for Cohen. If so, where was the contingency game plan? A little power running and play action can go a long way this time of year.

I would like to see a play action TE seam route off of WR motion.

You should have wonderful weather for the defeathering of the Eagles!

Trubisky QB Rating
I can understand wanting more growth, but expecting is a different story. While Trubisky didn't light it up, he did manage very very well. First year coach, system and skill positions are a lot to overcome for someone with as little experience as Mitch. I would rate that transition as excellent. With all that being said, my expectation will be greater next season.
