  1. That reasoning I can live with. I'm with lemon when it comes to a roster spot.
  2. Heck, I wish they could get it done in one day. That's old old school!
  3. Heck, they even had Forte picking up short yardage 1st downs last year, allowing to cut the fat with Bush's contract. Now, if we can transfer competence to the other side of the ball.
  4. Lovie and his idiots are in Tampa. Have faith.
  5. Read your tag line. Nobody ran well through our line except the DL.
  6. Yet, if a stud CB, DT or DE is availible, I would pick them over a stud safety.

    Joe Kim

He's not going to be a savior, but won't hurt.
  8. My only concern with conference teams, is how I can beat them. If it's by getting extra picks and coaching them up, do it.
  9. You two agreeing has about the same value as a farting competition. That being said, I agree...
  10. This article basically says nothing. The writer is throwing every side out, with the hope that something sticks.

    Great news

Spot on. I'm not a big Conte supporter, but the dude had no chance to succeed last year. I've said in other posts and I'll say it again, "Ronnie Lott and Ed Reed would have failed last year with the front 7 we put out there".
  12. I've said all along that I would like a stud RB drafted.
  13. Yes and yes in theory. You bracket your needs based on availability. If you have a 90 at S, DB, LB and DL, it's not as easy as saying we need DL the most so we are going there. If you think you can get suitable DL later, although it's the greatest need, you maximize by drafting what you think won't be there later. That's why they have runs on positions. Actually like in the mid rounds of a fantasy football draft.
  14. You have Phil on speed dial? I am so not worthy.
  15. Re-tread running backs rarely pan out. I'd rather draft a RB in the first few rounds for grooming.
  16. He was paid appropriately well to do what he did. So, there is the credit he WAS due. I've always been a fan and supporter, but his lack of grace has has me over it.
  17. I would not be disappointed with the Justin Gilbert pick. IMO- CB is always the more important pick over safety. There are arguments to support both, but. Good CB play hides bad safety play more than the inverse. Plus, with Gilbert's size and athleticism, failure at CB may lead to a good safety. That doesn't work the other way around.
  18. Brian is jaded right now. Maybe the Bears little ass kissing plan to honor him will give him closure. Until he gets there, his credibility is zero at best.
  19. Meaning not at peak or as good as they once were. It does not mean, they are no longer any good. You falsely placed those words to promote your dead horse argument. You would have pulled the same card had you been on the other side of the debate. How many times can you challenge people's grasp of the English language then be a hypocrite when it turns on you?
