  1. Oh hell no! If Fields were here, it would be a bloody nightmare. I am on record with saying we would win 9 or 10 games if we traded the Caleb pick and invest for Fields. That's where it ends. If they ever planned on sitting Caleb, we have Bagent that fully embrace that role. Fields, Caleb and the locker room would never survive it. Poles got that item right.
  2. Same. I saw really good growth today. Our coaches need to be better. DJ, Cole, Keenan and Rome are enough weapons. No need for the other TE at all. Simplify the run game with Roschon and Khalil and our O can gel.
  3. What were your thoughts on the play where we got the turnover and the refs ruled forward progress halted in favor of the Colts. Even Colts fans thought it was cheesy. They didn't do the replay so I wonder what all thought...
  4. Swift is simply not a runner. He may be faster, but he has no power and vision. Most of all, he doesn't run through contact. Roschon was popping people and Herbert uses angles to lean on tacklers for extra yards. I like Swift on certain packages, but there's a reason he's not in Detroit or Philly in such a short time. Like I said in the other thread, he runs like a bitch.
  5. Also, better things are happening when Herbert and Johnson are on the Field. Swift runs like a bitch.
  6. Halftime report. Big plays are killing us. If you take two plays away from the Colts, the game looks a lot different. Both of those were blown by the D. Caleb missed a couple opportunities, especially the one where he threw to DJ when he could have ran for 20 on 3rd down. Waldron couldn't have shown less guts with first and goal from the four. It may not look like it but we are actually looking them on TOP, yardage and first downs. Fix the mistakes and we comeback.
  7. Hot garbage. I'm at the game. Coaching for dummies is on full display...
  8. The entire NFL has seen his rhetoric. His days of stealing paychecks are over. His next contract will be minimal and incentive laden. That's if anyone gives him a chance. He is my most hated Bear ever.
  9. We gotta get right vs the Colts. Not only are our ex Bears teeing off on the OL, Belichick is out there criticizing our roster construction. Jeff Saturday out there backing that assertion up. This negativity can creep into the soul of the team. Nate Davis must practice or be benched. I'm seeing around 75% of the bad reps from the OL are directly attributed to Nate Davis or overreact plays for not trusting him.
  10. I'm still having daily problems. Sometimes my Wi-Fi works and sometimes it doesn't allow me in until I go to cell data...
  11. I think what Morgan, Waldren and Flus are doing is asking the OL to be too precise. There was play when Davis pulled and didn't hit the guy coming through and because it wasn't his guy. Natural football days hit the guy, because he's going to be a problem. Then, he goes to the second level and doesn't hit a guy, because his guy wasn't there. There was also a play where the center was helping Davis, but helped too much and a guy slid through. It's time for them to stay in their area of operation and hit whatever comes in it and no more. Trust in the guy next to them is key. Little shoves are sometimes all that is needed instead of moving too far. The old rule of working inside out should cure a lot.

    Next 4 games

Am I the only one that didn't think this team was ready to compete to win the division? We are not there yet. This team is still learning how to compete to win. To exacerbate our feelings we have a weak link to talk about. We ain't that bad yet.
  13. If I were a GM I would definitely draft the trenches until I had both fronts solidified. The only way to accomplish that would be if ownership bought into three years of growth before any expectation playoffs. Poles gambled and lost. I'm sure he thought the OL was good, since we were 4 centers away from Sam Mustipher. It's crazy to think that Sam outperformed them all to date. Trading for Keenan was a luxury, stating that we are ready. Drafting a fourth round punter doubled down on that thought. The 24 mil we are paying Allen would buy two very solid starting IOL easily. I would much rather have that than an oft injured aging WR. Bryce Young and Justin Fields are examples of players that were thrown to slaughter because of that neglect. We can only pray Caleb survive it. Once the fronts are set, BPA like crazy. It all starts up front...
  14. Seven sacks and Caleb was hitting the Brady standard on release time. 64 and 65 need to get their collective shit together. Until then, this offense is going nowhere. Lord Poles, I love you man. But, damn! And I told you so...🤬
  15. Rookie QB and terrible center play. Let him settle in for a minute. We get the ball to start the second half...💪
  16. Shelton is overplaying his position and hurting us. The OL does not trust each other. It's hard to trust a guy you haven't practiced with...
  17. It's happened before, so it's not as absolute as you make it.
  18. Nate Davis is a coach killer. You absolutely can not get continuity if your starter doesn't practice. A lot of the center's poor play can be attributed to trust and familiarity, or the lack thereof. Davis should be out of the league next year. It all starts up front and I've argued continuity for years. They got a wakeup call. If health remains ok, we'll get better.
  19. You have lost your mind if you think Bagent wouldn't be on the red-eye for a first rounder.
