  1. Last years draft and off season had Lovie written all over it. Special teamers signed via FA, overpaying for a backup running back, drafting a safety in the 3rd, no attention to OL and scrubs to develop in the late rounds. This draft and off season was completely opposite. So glad Lovie is gone. I really look for a smarter football team this year.
  2. I suggest not. Continuity for OL is more important than overall talent. Once we find some pieces that work this year, they should remain in place next year. You are suggesting an 80% change next year, after an 80% change this year. Can't do it. We will all see the OL struggle initially and hopefully find their stride toward the end of the season. Once the season is over, I can only see one or two tweaks in the off season. One will be C and the maybe would be on the right side.
  3. Moot is the word you are looking for.
  4. Trestman worked with Tebow for nine days before he was drafted. If Trestman thinks something is there, we may pull the string. But, I doubt it...
  5. Shes not holding the ball right...lol
  6. Damn, I should be in Canton then. No to Tebow.
  7. 85 was the infamous holdout year of Bell and Harris. They missed the boat in a legendary way on that one. I still count them on the team though.
  8. Oh, absolutely. I didn't put mine in order. If so, it would be C, CB, DT, RB, DE and QB. I wouldn't draft in that order because I would take the premium positions like CB, DT and DE with the early picks. Really hope QB doesn't dictate a high draft choice next year.
  9. I loved our draft. Looking at film on Long, I think he is going to be a good. He is very quick and plays with a very strong base. He'll only get better with time. I also like Bostic over Brown. Bostic has the prototype frame where Brown is smallish. I can see 5 of these guys starting not this year, but next.(Between 2 and 4 this year) Great depth and value...
  10. Yea, it's hard to beat Singletary, Wilson, Marshall, Harris and Rivera. That group was elite.
  11. You and Adam really hit on why I started this post. I was in the woods when I sent it so I didn't give my complete thoughts. Next year we will have to decide if we want to sign Jennings and Tillman at corner, a replacement for Bush and heir to Forte, whether or not to extend Cutler and decide if we want Peppers at 16 mil and a replacement for Garza. So, I'm looking at getting DE, CB, RB, QB, DT and C. Things change fast in the NFL. I loved our draft. I think the only thing that would have made me happier would have been to have gotten Schwenke at some point somehow.
  12. After reading posts about who we drafted and what our needs are/where brings a question to mind. Knowing our roster, free agents, draft choices and UDFA's; what our your thoughts for future needs? (This year and beyond...)

    Round 3 LB ?

My immediate thought yesterday. Like the pick though...
  14. I'll point it out when it happens again...
  15. And you should try to use words in correct context. Check yourself before you check others.
  16. I'm on an OL high right now. I wouldn't mind if they drafted Terron Armstead in the 2nd and Schwenke in the 4th. I'm just ready for some big guy domination!
  17. I have no issues with this pick. Going into the draft I had guard and center as my number one needs. I don't think there was/is a better prospect availible. I suspect Emery tried to trade down, but nobody bit on the Te'o or QB hype. Win some lose some. So he takes a player he really likes. All good. Dude is a beast of an athlete.
  18. Can't believe the OT's went that high together. And Cooper, jeez!
