  1. I'm thinking excel spreadsheet. If we have a column for whom the Bears draft then columns for individual participants. We could then tab years and do it for as long as we want.
  2. Here's a hypothetical since Cutler's situation is similar to Flacco's. What is Cutler worth if he doesn't extend and wins a SB in the same fashion as Flacco? I for one think he is as talented, but Flacco has a more solid track record in the playoffs. So, I'm thinking Cutler would be a 18m/yr QB if he's SB MVP. If he's good and takes us to the playoffs and wins a game 15m. If he's the same QB we've had for the last 3 years 10-12m.
  3. Sadly enough, until the negative vibe is cast away from our OL, this will come up again...
  4. Garza is actually about 6'1" and 290. He and I are literally the same size. My son took a pic of us standing together.
  5. Isn't an OG with superior intellect and physical talent considered a playmaker when he executes a block(only he is capable of) that springs the RB for a critical gain?
  6. I don't think I can do better, but I'm in!
  7. I think NFL personnel are watching from a distance. His lack of giving a crap in his 1st stint in the league is still fresh. They are smart enough to see that it's all about the benjamins with this guy. There is NO love for the game. That's where you start with your team leader...
  8. For the record, my comments on Robinson were for wr/kr not read option gimmick. Now of he were the third qb, read option would be ok. Otherwise, I want Cutler under center.
  9. I'm still intrigued by Robinson in the late rounds. He's been hurt, but I think once injury is healed will become a multidimensional threat. Could end up being a steal.
  10. Not worried about Moore. Izzy was the only one productive last year. At some point you have to replace your veterans with youth. What about Corey Wooten? I think he's ready. Plus, we have to get McClellin on the field more. If they can get Izzy cheap, fine. If not, we have options.
  11. I can see the team easily without Hester and Garza next year. I believe Garza would sign cheep though, if he still has gas in the tank. Webb, I believe will have a decent season and rate favorably for the first time. At 24, would you really want to let him go. He likely won't be expensive unless he plays lights out. All other young talent will be a priority to sign. We all hope Cutler will have a Flacco like season, but if he does, count on 20 million a year. That 40 million surplus won't last long. Huge cap savings next year could come from cutting Forte, Bush, Bennett and Peppers. But if they play great, you can't really ask for relief.
  12. Let's not forget he would be required to play special teams. That accounts for approx 27% of game plays. Never know on the rest...

    Manti Te'o

Take him the third. Oh wait, no third for us. OK, third it is...
  14. Using breath to coach him is downside, let alone a meal or five at Halas Hall. Sorry, hate that dude...
  15. If an OL doesn't fall, second that.
  16. A leopard doesn't change its spots.
  17. We are still deficient at OL and the best player in the draft is OL. I'll take Luke Joekel. Play him anywhere on the OL and he is an upgrade over any player we have. If we get our #20 as well, then it's Cooper next...
  18. Joekel. We are still deficient in OL talent. We might as well get the best one availible. Do we still get #20? If so, I'll take Cooper there...

    Arthur Brown

So you base your opinion off what other people think? How original...

    Arthur Brown

Agreed. I'll add, Ogletree is a natural 241 with room to add weight, while Brown is an inflated 241 with no room to grow. Combine that with speed, power and aggression and Ogletree is hands down the better athlete.
  21. I'd like Fluker as a RG On Mathieu; he's immature, a pothead, verysmall, weak and does not like to hit or be hit. The only CB I ever saw thrive without having to hit was Sanders. Mathieu is not remotely close. On Te'o; I think he's going to be a bust. No strength at point of attack, no burst and no natural size. It will remain to be seen what he is in the NFL.
  22. I think Fluker can actually play OG. If that were the Bears intent with drafting him,I could live with that. As a RT,I would think it would be a waste, as we already have 3 RT's signed to compete. We need and OG and C upgrade. I would not be mad if we took Barrett Jones in the 2nd. I love watching film on him. Very good at point of attack, sound technique, locks on when engaged and gets to the 2nd level very well.(very impressive with his hands) Smart sound player. Will be a very good C in the NFL...
  23. Hate all 3. We already have 3 guys signed to compete at RT. Drafting Fluker would be like drafting a TE with the 1st pick. 2nd, I simply feel Te'o will be a bust. Mathieu is a huge gamble in the 4th and not needed. Our immediate upgrade list includes OG, OC, LB, CB, DT and WR.
