Yes sir. I loved it! Upon his hire, he also sent a message to the players, "get comfortable with being uncomfortable".

There are several factors that go into performance of an offensive line. (Coaching, leadership, work ethic, continuity, health and skill) Coaching: we were voted the worst coached team in the NFL last year. With good coaching, you motivate a solid off season program. Does anyone think they worked hard on their strength and conditioning. Thayer called them out on that. Play calling also stands out in this category. Leadership: the only leader we had on the OL was a washed up TE. Now, we have Thuney. From what people say, he will absolutely be a vocal and physical leader. Work ethic: we now have a great OL coach and Thuney. From Johnson on down, there will be an installation of work ethic. There's no question why we didn't offer Jenkins a penny. Continuity: with Jenkins, Nate Davis and Jones missing portions of TC, it's hard to gel. I think they said we used 58 OL combinations the last two years. Availability together is crucial. Skill: the only starters we had above fifth round picks were Jenkins and Wright. That doesn't cut it. Failing to invest in the trenches has been a franchise killer for decades. Of course people make it from all over the draft, but the success rates from the first two rounds are significantly better than any other position group. Great teams draft trenches yearly. Prediction: we know we upgraded three positions and Jones isn't that bad. Our OL will drastically improve. My guess is we'll cut sacks in half and increase YPC by 1.5 yards. Wish list: draft two more to push backups out the door. Give Kiran a boot camp to see what he can provide as a prospect. 2026 draft two more until we know we're stacked.

Me too on Banks. More proven. To answer your other question. James Pierce

I wish a DE was in the poll. I chose Jeanty because I believe he'll be a immediate difference maker. After that, Warren and Membou.
-
If he ever totally dedicates, he would be great. Boom or bust.
-
IMO - It has to be LOT, EDGE, 3Tech or trade back. I haven't looked at the TE's, but if there's a Brock Bowers out there, get him.
-
Safety-Byard is old and Brisker is concussion prone. Running back-We don't have a bell cow. EDGE-can't have enough, period... Future OL-See above... Speed at WR-See above...
-
Don't jinx it! The draft completes it...💪🤣💥
-
Kenneth Grant yes. Walker no. He got exposed at the senior bowl week.
-
I think he's a 3Tech. Billings should be safe. Pickens should be on notice. I also like the flexibility it gives Dexter.
-
Safety with Brisker being iffy and Byard being older.
-
I just saw 4/205 mil. There must be hidden language...
-
What about Garrett getting 51 mil per year
-
I read somewhere that his worst play is at C.
-
I believe you're right, whether I like it or not...🤪

Agreed on the trenches. I'm thinking EDGE at 10.
-
I don't think he'll get under 4.4 either. But, if you take a ten or fifteen yard split, he's as fast as anyone I've seen. If Ben Johnson wants to run a lot of play action, Jeanty would be a dream. Does anyone know if he can catch or pass protect?
-
In their evaluation, they will factor that picks ten through fifty are similar.(This year) If Jeanty is an outlier and we trade can't trade back, he may be the guy.
-
Has he ever? Constant under-performer per dollar...

I'm starting to do a 180 on my initial reaction. With the cap going up, the OL market took a huge crap. Looking at Jackson, he previously played really well at OG. With the Rams, he played all three IOL positions and underperformed at center, while being injured. Thuney is a stud. Even though he is 32, he's very durable. I can see him being above average for at least three years. Both guards are better than what we had. It's time to nail the center position. With IOL being a strength in this draft, I would love to see two future starters come out of it.
-
I've been looking hard at the IOL market. From what I'm seeing, the cap increase blew it up. Teams should be able to keep the free agents they want. It may actually drive Jenkins down to a friendly contract offer.
-
With this second trade, I'm starting to see EDGE or Jeanty in the first round. However, I still want pedigree youth at OL. Since IOL is so deep; why not draft two in the second? We need someone at RG and Thuney is 32 and will need someone to be ready. Please don't get too cute, Poles...

I hate this on every level. Same ol shit...
