I've been on record of wanting to trade Forte and draft another RB, but I don't there is one worthy of the 7 pick. I'll gladly take one in round 2 or 3.

My simple thought is that he is not a difference maker. There are 5 running backs in this year's draft that can run for more than Forte and they'll be cheaper and 9 years younger. Forte can help a lot of teams more than he can help us.

He has no leverage, so I'm not concerned. He's a pro. He'll come in on time and in shape. I would still trade him for a pick and draft the type of back the new staff wants. I'd take any off the top 5 in this draft.

I agree in principle only. So many other things need addressed before we mortgage the future again with an unknown. If Cutler it's as bad this year as last, we'll be in good position to go all out next year. But, let's fix some of the other shit first.
