  1. People have tried to develop him. Just like we all keep talking about developing Cutler, yet he still has all the mechanical flaws. Difference is, Cutler has throwing skills underneath it all. I'm a Tebow fan, but simply believe he's become a distracting sideshow. Not of his doing, of course. I personally think a young QB should be brought in to develop the way Trestman wants.
  2. Good morning. Still not the point and you know it. You keep bringing up QB and that was never the thought, but you are going to hold onto that lie, because that's all you have.(Thus the reason you didn't answer my question to you regarding how he throws compared to other wr/rb positions) As far as tone, it's more than likely compensation. The fact that you failed to understand the post is truly a mistake on my part, because I didn't type it in crayon. Hope that's clear or do I need a spreadsheet? Back to the topic. I'm saying someone will take a chance on Robinson by the 6th round because is a football player that can provide value. The only thing I care to hear from you is your opinion on him as a 6th round wr/rb/pr/kr.
  3. I think everyone feels your apprehension to drafting OL high, but stats still show that highly drafted OL prospects pan out at a better rate than any other position. Just think of we stopped trying to get laid after a few bad efforts??? Don't lose hope bro. We gotta get em one way or another.
  4. You didn't know what you were talking about, because we were not talking about a QB. But you had to jump in with your usual dickish tone. I gave you a taste of your own medicine. Riddle me this, how does he throw as a reciever or running back? A smart guy like you should answer that easily...
  5. With due respect, I'm not talking about him at QB. Context is everything. As a WR/RB he CAN throw the ball. The reason he its no longer a QB is due to a nerve condition in his elbow. Hes not a gimmick guy, but someone that can line up in the slot, backfield or returner.
  6. They are better. Rodgers gets to run his full arsenal of plays. Bears can only run deep routes when the D is geared for the run or in max protect.
  7. Bowlingtwig suggested 6th round as a WR, which was the value part of the convo. I'll dismiss the rest since you obviously don't WTF you are talking about.
  8. He's a Welker type with better quickness and top end speed. I like him. Plus he can throw.
  9. Agreed, plus I've actually seen him break tackles. He is a better football player than Hester right now.

    Another Mock

We'll know if we lose Melton before the draft.

I like the overall draft. Just don't like the 2nd pick. How about an OG prospect or another LB?
  12. Babich did not have Julius Peppers. Plus, you know who was pulling the strings on that D. Sometimes coaches get a bad rap because of who they work for...

Briggs did have a great season, but he did it by being a smart football player. That being said, he is still effective. He just isn't explosive like he used to be. Don't be surprised if he tails off a more this year. What worries me is that we need some athletic plays from our LB core. Hopefully our red shirt guy and whoever we draft wil provide.

My thought is that the D will remain solid with a few learning bumps along the way. We badly need a talent infusion at the LB position. I'm in the minority on this board that feel Urlacher was below average last year. Also, looking at Briggs, I found him to have lost a step. Both of our star linebackers will need upgraded in the next couple of seasons and Roach has hit his talent ceiling. On offense, I expect the same thing I expected last season. That we have a learning curve to overcome with the OL, as I expect at least a 40% turnover, again. The offense won't be good out of the gate, so they will have to ride the fast start the defense usually starts the season with. If our O is top 20 by the end of the season, we may be one of the hot teams going into the playoffs.

Are you referring to 2011 or 2012? From what I've seen their 2012 defense was horrible. I hope it was due to talent deficiency. Casserly was saying how badly they needed and impact defender earlier today. Anyway, I know absolutely nothing about him. Here's to his success!
  16. I'm not an expert, but I say 2nd round from what I see on the field.
  17. Hoke, Horton, Ryan or Singletary...
  18. Tebow is a great guy, but the circus that follows him is not worth anything he brings to the table. Hell no...
  19. Take the whole girlfriend saga out of play. What I saw from Te'o was a guy that benefitted from a dominant defensive line and MLB friendly defensive scheme. To me, he does not look like 1st round talent. Being productive in college is nothing like the pro's, especially when your talent is maxed out. Sometimes when a player, especially from ND, gets media hype, it's easy to get an elevated opinion of that player. Time will tell.
  20. Babich had Alex Brown and a gimpy Tommie Harris. Marinelli had Julius Peppers. Nuf said...

    Tice gone

Not surprised. He'll never be labeled an OL guru again.
