  1. I didn't think you were trying to trash him at all. You just made a false statement when you eluded to him being one dimensional. I also don't think we should draft him, but would be excited if we did.
  2. Jeanty is not one dimensional. He's generational at what he does. I can't wait to see what he does. Even though I want the Howie Roseman approach to drafting, I would welcome Jeanty with open arms...
  3. I don't think we draft RB at 10, but Jeanty is the real deal. He's not a scat back either. Weights 215, so that's a low center of gravity load to bring down. Adding in, that he has the best contact balance I've seen since Sweetness.
  4. That was Trubisky's fatal flaw...
  5. My skip to the second round prediction is Kenneth Grant...
  6. Same with me. I'm glad to have brothers to keep me in check. Especially when rum is involved...🍻
  7. This is an utterly ridiculous statement. Jeanty is a problem, just as Saquan Barkley. When a back is so good you have to gameplan against every play, it's far more valuable than platoon guys. It's literally the opposite of what makes sense.
  8. This! Johnson is a hard driving bastard that gives zero F's what anyone thinks. That's exactly the type of person he's coaching. Team Flus neutered alphas, I believe Johnson will ignite them.
  9. A Carly Simon song comes to mind...
  10. Yup! The only back worth the #10 is Jeanty and it ain't close...
  11. Odd note: Tevin Jenkins only got a one year 3 mil contract. There's a lot of stink on his reputation to get that poor of a deal.
  12. I believe our current guys are smarter than that. Wright should never play left tackle. If anything else, guard. However, I am a proponent of trying a failed OT at other positions before giving up on them.
  13. I look at mock drafts and expert opinions like I do politics. I listen to what they say and, if interested, do individual research. The real draft experts that have the resources and inside info aren't saying anything they don't want us to hear, because they are working for a team. We all can see the guys that are going to be great, but the second tier can be hit and miss. Details like work ethic, football IQ, processing speed, scheme fit and love of the game are keys to determining value. Even college coaches lie their assess off in their praise of their prospects. For reputations sake, I can guarantee they are telling the truth behind closed doors, especially to their pro buddies. Relationships are everything. Enough my rambling. Believe nothing! 😜
  14. I could seriously live with this one.
  15. 💥 it's the little details...💪
  16. I think you are on point.
  17. I have strong feeling we won't draft an OT. Defense, Jeanty or Warren...
  18. Nolen, maybe. Grant, no. The equivalent can be had at 30 for Grant. Not special...
  19. I'm an interview, Johnson stated that Dennis Allen told him that Tyler Warren is gonna be a problem. Johnson went into detail beyond that...
  20. The light was definitely on in the Superbowl. He was the reason everybody else got turned loose on the DL. Watch Brian Baldinger break him down on film.
  21. Agreed, he had less help than Carter. To me, the comparison ends there. Carter is special.
  22. Yeah, it's Jeanty for me too. I'm trying to justify why we shouldn't draft him. Here's the list: Best back to come out in years. Dude had 2000+ rushing yards after contact. He had the best contact balance I have ever seen.(Including Sweetness) He would make the OL better with his hole vision. He makes Caleb better as a true play action threat. He makes our receivers better, because he needs accounted for on every play. He makes Ben Johnson better by putting us in third and short. He makes our defense better by allowing us to control the ball more. I honestly don't see another player in the draft that makes the whole team better from day one. But, conventional wisdom and my tag line the the old site comes in like, "It all starts up front!"
  23. Disclaimer: this is not about what is best long term... We talked a lot about blue chip players in the past. We currently have around 10. Looking at this draft, there aren't as many "can't miss" prospects at ten, as in the past. Looking at our 10 pick with the lens of who makes us better faster isn't usually best in the long run. Who is your guy in this draft that's an instant upgrade as a starter? Take into account learning curve per position. Please don't use someone that won't be available. Gimme your guy and why...
