  1. If that happens, I will lose all faith in the staff. That being said, I highly doubt it will happen. If we all remember correctly, Webb looked great in camp last year. Also, Carimi has not proven durable as of yet.
  2. Bennett is our modern day Waddle. That's why. Not big, not fast, not flashy; he just catches everything, moves the chains, then gets up like he's done it before. I'm feelin it...
  3. Impact plays would be very nice.
  4. From what I just read in the Trib and Times Webb is going to be our LT. Factors from Williams being placed at RT, when it was his turn to start at LT and his confusion on what happened. They could have easily put Webb at RT today. Just speculation as I'm reading between the lines.
  5. I think we do. Hayden has been the one jamming Jeffery too. Non CB related: I really think Brandin Hardin was drafted to play over the top safety on Megatron.
  6. Lol. Come off the ledge man! Mcclellan will be fine if he can avoid the seal block from a TE.
  7. I think they will let Url take a peek into free agency, while letting him know they will counteroffer. The only risk is that a team offers him great money with an ultimatum to sign now. That being said, it's going to have to be a team he feels is a contender. Not many great teams add an overaged MLB at a premuim price I'll be shocked if doesn't retire a Bear. Cutler, on the other hand(with another good season), is gonna get around 6/104mil with about 40 guaranteed. Wait till you see what Rodgers gets this year or next!
  8. Melton is supposed to be that guy. I think he was almost the tops for sacks from the DT position last year and should still be on the rise. Paea will be our Booger if plans play out. If McClellin is who they thought they drafted, I think our DL will be the best we've seen since the Buddy Ryan days...
  9. I like it. Hope he does well in camp or he'll get cut like a 7th rounder.
  10. Disagree on all counts. I think it is an open competition to bring out the best of A)Williams, who has unachieved thus far and B)Webb, who needs to develop. To answer your question; you move your starting guard because you have a greater need at tackle and that was the position he was drafted and paid handsomely for. Williams probably jumped at the shot when given it, knowing that he would not be given the chance to go back to OG.(as would any football player with a little pride) The loser of the battle will need to be the swing tackle for the greater good of the team. Does anyone think that both of our starting OT's will go the entire season without missing time? Odds are not in favor of that. Carimi's knee worries the hell out of me. Plus, they don't give a damn about Webb's ego. He's now in his 3rd year and was the worst starting LT in the NFL.(That's humble pie)
  11. Com'n Madlith! This is the key to our championship. Honestly, I think Garza, Louis and Carimi are locks with Spencer having an edge at LG. Williams and Webb it's the battle I'm most interested in. I'm specifically rooting for Williams, as I feel he is smarter and has better feet than Webb. Hes really hit the gym and it's very noticeable. Webb could be the future with his power and prototypical size, but still too raw for my taste.
  12. I hope we have a huge dilemma...
  13. It's pain to see that both are huge factors in our key to success. Urlacher is going to be tricky with his age and the "face" thing he has going for him. I dont think hes worth near as much on the open market as he is with us. As always, I pray for a hometown discount. Cutty is going to be very expensive, but he'll get his. The big question is, how much do you think they'll command???
  14. Never done it myself. That was kind of my point. Why would we waste our time refuting what they say about us? It would make more sense to make a stand against them, than against our own. (Even a Dem should understand that ) Even more pointless is challenging a fan, on this boards', loyalty to the team.
  15. The world is made of visionaries, prognosticators, naysayers, zealots and fools. This board is a dichotomy. Why do we get so miffed when one of our own pisses in the kool-aid a little? Did any of you have the balls to refute this article on a Packer site? Yet we want to flame our guy for having a very valid opinion. Save it for the Cheeseheads!
  16. MY GOD! That looks like O-line posts from the last 5 years...
  17. Awesome that it's done. Hillarious that it took so long. This is the deal we all pretty much agreed was fair for both sides. Two f'n months ago!
  18. I'm no longer perplexed. You and I are usually on the same page, so the universe is in balance again.
  19. The difference between Jeffery and the ones you list is pedigree. Jeffery is a second rounder. Luck, RG and Richardson are considered "can't miss" prospects. Jeffery has question marks he will have to answer in TC before he EARNS his position. Of course you may be validated by Lovie "Rex Grossman is our quarterback" Smith.
  20. Fact is: The only reason Manning is no longer with the team is that the brass did not feel there was value in resigning him. I found him to be uninstinctive with a low NFL IQ. Of course, I feel the same about Lovie and Co...
  21. I'm perplexed. It seems like you are supporting Wessons' assertion that bigger recievers do indeed have an advantage. I really don't want to join the debate over who or what is better, because I think great receivers occur in all shapes and sizes. The original post was weather Jeffery is better and more suited to start over Hester.(which I find unfounded due to Jeffereys' lack of EVER playing against NFL DB's)
  22. Oh, my reading comprehension is off the charts, so you'll need not worry about that. I think you need to check the context again... Question: Would you NOT be surprised if he had 12+ sacks?
